The other students might be alright; they only needed a different teacher. But she had personally brought the female students to the private school, and she couldn't bear to abandon them.
Bai Yujing gently stroked her cheek. "Huaiyu, as long as your heart desires, then follow it. Although I long to be with you forever, I am even more unwilling to let you betray your original intentions for my sake."
Jiang Huaiyu gently shook her head, her eyes filled with tenderness. "But we are husband and wife, and I always hope to be with you forever. If you pass the imperial examination and stay in the capital as an official, must we still endure the pain of being separated?"

The laughter was like a spring breeze sweeping across the lake, lingering on and on.
Jiang Huaiyu asked with a hint of doubt, "Is this really that interesting?"
Bai Yujing shook his head gently and sighed, "My wife is exceptionally wise and talented. She should be allowed to flourish. How could I possibly stop her? Besides, the wealth you've earned through business has become food on my table. Am I supposed to eat while cursing its origin?"
"Don't talk nonsense, I'm not your mother!" Jiang Huaiyu gently pushed him.
"You are my beloved wife."
Bai Yujing held her hand tightly and gently kissed the back of her hand.
Jiang Huaiyu's cheeks flushed bright red. "So you're making fun of this? Don't you have any semblance of a scholar?"
"It's long gone, and I don't want it anymore."
Before Jiang Huaiyu could fully understand his implied meaning, he had already gently pushed her down onto the bed.
Time slips away unnoticed.
Ripples of passion surged again and again.
As the distant rooster crowed at dawn, Bai Yujinglou, holding the person in his arms, once again brought his lips close to hers.
But she resolutely pushed him away.
Jiang Huaiyu's voice was hoarse, and she said with a pleading tone, "It's already past four in the morning, my husband, let us rest?"
"My wife, I am wide awake right now."
Bai Yujing leaned down again and kissed her neck. The thought of her leaving after dawn filled him with reluctance.

As they whispered amongst themselves, Jiang Huaiyu's body gradually cooled, and he nestled silently in Bai Yujing's arms. Bai Yujing couldn't help but smile bitterly, gently pressing a kiss to his forehead. As the smile faded, he closed his heavy eyelids.
The next morning.
The original plan was to set off back to Fushun Town at dawn, but Jiang Huaiyu was overwhelmed by the torrent of emotions in the depths of the night for too long, so much so that she wandered in her dreams until noon.
Adding to the frustration, snowflakes began to fall from the sky that morning.
Jiang Huaiyu felt aches all over her body, as if she had been rubbed by a rough stone, so she simply stayed in her warm bed, even having breakfast there. She didn't even spare a single thought to take care of Bai Yujing beside her.
Seeing that she failed to leave as promised, Bai Yujing was secretly pleased, but on the surface she pretended to be fine, with an innocent and harmless smile on her face.
"It is fate that you are allowed to stay, Huaiyu. If you had left in haste this morning and encountered this heavy snow, wouldn't it have been even more difficult for you to make your journey?"
Jiang Huaiyu snorted and said somewhat angrily, "Don't be too happy yet, this snow won't last long."
Sure enough, her words seemed to have a magical power. The snowflakes stopped falling after only two hours, leaving only a thin layer of snow on the ground, most of which had melted and did not affect the journey.
Seeing the disappointment on Bai Yujing's face, Jiang Huaiyu's hardened heart melted into a pool of spring water. She gently comforted him, "Didn't we already make a promise? Now let's focus on completing our respective tasks. One day we will never be separated again."
