Chapter 14 Such Prejudice



"It doesn't matter, I have nothing to do anyway."

"If that's the case, then so be it."

The two walked side by side to the study. Bai Yujing gave her a few instructions, then picked up a book and began to read intently.

Jiang Huaiyu then quietly began to sort through the boxes of books.

The ten boxes of books were quite a large quantity, and it took Jiang Huaiyu half a day to sort them all out.

Although the study is simply furnished, the bookshelves are densely packed with books, giving it a scholarly atmosphere that inspires awe.

After finishing tidying up, Jiang Huaiyu did not disturb Bai Yujing, but tiptoed out of the study.

Just as he stepped out the door, he was met by Xie Wenyin walking slowly towards him. Jiang Huaiyu's face lit up with a friendly smile, "Wenyin?"

Xie Wenyin glanced at her sideways, her tone laced with sarcasm.

"Of course, how could I not come? Some people spend the whole morning lounging in their study, yet they haven't even poured a cup of tea for Cousin Yujing."

She gently lifted the porcelain pot in her hand, a sly smile playing on her lips. "If I hadn't come today, would I have let Cousin Yujing suffer from thirst?"

Jiang Huaiyu was indeed so busy that she forgot about the matter and did not recall the detail. So she replied apologetically, "Thanks to Sister Wenyin for reminding me, I had neglected such a trivial matter. From now on, I will definitely keep it in mind and make sure to serve my husband more tea."

When Xie Wenyin heard her call her husband so affectionately, she felt a pang of bitterness welling up inside her, and managed to force an awkward smile.
