Bai Yujing sat at the table, his brows furrowed. He raised his head and stared at Jiang Huaiyu with eyes as sharp as knives: "Do you think I'll sign this? I, Bai Yujing, would rather die than reconcile with the Prince Hao's Mansion!"
In the courtyard, the elm tree swayed gently in the spring breeze, and sunlight filtered through the leaves onto the blue brick path, creating dappled patterns.
Jiang Huaiyu took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She slowly walked up to Bai Yujing and looked at him with a firm gaze.
"Bai Yujing, you think you're tough, but have you ever considered that the conflict between us isn't insurmountable?"
Why can't you let go of your hatred and reconcile with the Prince Hao's Mansion? Jiang Huaiyu's voice was filled with helplessness and sorrow.
Bai Yujing sneered, "Reconciliation? Do you know how the Haowang Mansion treated our family? They killed my relatives and took everything from us! How can I reconcile with them?"
A flicker of pain crossed Jiang Huaiyu's eyes as she gripped Bai Yujing's hand tightly: "I know your pain, but we can't live in hatred forever. We need to plan for the future, for our children."
Bai Yujing's eyes widened, seemingly surprised that Jiang Huaiyu would mention the child: "The child? Do you think I would let the child live under the shadow of hatred? I would rather he not know the dangers of this world!"
Jiang Huaiyu's tears welled up again, and she said in a trembling voice, "Bai Yujing, have you forgotten our vows? We promised to go through thick and thin together and overcome difficulties. But now, you are carrying the burden of hatred alone, plunging us all into trouble."
Bai Yujing remained silent for a moment, a hint of wavering flashing in his eyes.
But he quickly regained his resolve: "Huaiyu, I know you've sacrificed a lot for me, but there are some things I cannot compromise on. I would rather live a lonely life than bow down to the Prince Hao's mansion."
Jiang Huaiyu gazed at Bai Yujing through teary eyes, her gaze filled with both reluctance and determination. She bit her lip lightly, her voice trembling slightly as she said, "The divorce papers are ready. Even if you don't sign them, keep them as possible evidence for the future."

Although Bai Yujing got up, he lingered, unwilling to leave even a step. His eyes revealed endless longing, as if every brick and tile of this courtyard was etched into his soul. Yingxiang stood to the side, her brows slightly furrowed, urging him repeatedly, "Young master, it's getting late, you should leave soon."
Bai Yujing sighed helplessly, taking one last, reluctant look at the courtyard that had once been filled with laughter before slowly turning away. Deng Shen, who was already waiting outside the door, quickly handed over a pile of packages to Bai Yujing upon seeing her.
"Butler Deng, thank you so much." Bai Yujing took the package, her eyes filled with gratitude.
Deng Shen smiled slightly, but a hint of sadness flashed in his eyes: "Young master, please take care. I have prepared everything. Please be careful on your journey."
Bai Yujing nodded, then turned to Deng Shen: "Can your injuries hold up? Is there anything special I should prepare?"
Deng Shen shook his head: "Don't worry, young master, I'm fine. It's just that I still feel uneasy."
Yingxiang then walked over and whispered to Deng Shen, "Steward Deng, please stop talking. Madam is doing this for the young master's sake, you understand."
A hint of hesitation flashed in Deng Shen's eyes, but he nodded and said no more.
Bai Yujing looked at the two of them, a complex emotion welling up inside her.
Just then, a muffled thud came from inside the house. Yingxiang and Deng Shen, who were outside the door, were startled by the noise and looked at each other in surprise.
"Deng Shen, did you hear that?" Yingxiang grabbed Deng Shen's arm nervously.
Deng Shen nodded, his expression grave: "That sound came from Young Master Jiang's room."
The two rushed into the house and found Jiang Huaiyu lying unconscious on the floor. Yingxiang was terrified and cried out, "Young Master Jiang, what's wrong? Wake up!"
Deng Shen panicked as well, but being a seasoned veteran, he managed to maintain a semblance of composure. He bent down, trying to check Jiang Huaiyu's breathing. After a moment, he breathed a sigh of relief: "Thank goodness, he's still breathing. Yingxiang, go and fetch Doctor Liang quickly. I'll stay here and take care of Young Master Jiang."
Yingxiang agreed and hurriedly left. Deng Shen looked at Jiang Huaiyu's pale face and couldn't help but feel worried.
A short while later, Yingxiang returned with Doctor Liang. Doctor Liang took Jiang Huaiyu's pulse and frowned deeply: "Young Master Jiang was struck on the head, causing him to lose consciousness. Fortunately, he received timely treatment, otherwise the consequences would have been unimaginable."
Deng Shen hurriedly asked, "Dr. Liang, how should we treat him?"
Doctor Liang pondered for a moment and said, "I will write a prescription first, and you can go and get the medicine. Then, you will take turns taking care of Young Master Jiang, keeping his body warm, and trying not to frighten him."
Deng Shen and Yingxiang agreed, and Doctor Liang left. The two stayed by Jiang Huaiyu's bedside, their hearts heavy.
Before long, Yingxiang led Doctor Liang to the scene in a hurry, but Jiang Huaiyu was still unconscious.
After carefully examining her pulse, Doctor Liang sighed and shook his head, saying, "Alas, Madam Jiang is emotionally agitated and mentally unstable, which has damaged her heart. She is unable to recover for the time being and has fallen into a coma. I will use silver needles to stimulate her acupoints, and she should be able to wake up."
