Chapter 116 Gift Thank You

After riding for a while, Li Qiao returned quietly.

The two children were carried off the horse. When they looked back, Li Qiao was still standing there, as if he had never moved.

After experiencing the joy of riding, they were eager to share this joy with their mother, so they ran forward without looking back, wanting to run to their mother.

When Caius turned around, the two children had already run away for a long distance.

He chuckled, caught up with them in a few steps, grabbed the back of one of their collars with one hand, and successfully "blocked" their steps.

"Uncle! What are you doing?"

Little Li Yao pulled at his arm but couldn't budge it, so he looked at him gloomily.

"Uncle...I have something else to tell you."

He murmured the word "uncle". For him, it was nothing to call himself uncle.

"What's going on?"

"Do you like the little red horse?"

"like."

"Well, then, they are yours."

"ah?"

His light words made the two children freeze in place.

After a long while, Li Yao reacted first and looked at him coldly, "We don't need it."

"Tsk... so distant?" Caius scratched his head in distress.

As he said this, he suddenly grinned and said, "No, I'm going to give it to you."

Like a willful ghost.

Li Yao labeled him this way in his heart.

childish!

"Whatever." He turned his head away. "Let us go. You're strangling me."

In fact, he was lying. Caius's force was very light and he didn't strangle him.

"Really? Then I'll let go."

Caius seemed very nervous and suddenly loosened his grip on the back of the child's collar.

However, before Li Yao started to move forward, he suddenly felt himself "taking off into the air".

Yes, he was picked up.

The man held a child in each hand, holding them firmly, and walked towards Li Qiao.

When little Li Yao saw that he didn't have to walk anymore, he kicked his legs and lay on the man's shoulder and calmed down.

Li Yao always felt that something was wrong and wanted to struggle, but the man held him tightly. When he looked forward, he saw that they were almost there and stopped moving.

"Are you hungry? Do you want to go eat?"

He smiled and asked Li Qiao openly. When the two children couldn't see him, he winked at Li Qiao with a hint of meaning.

He is a very familiar man.

Li Qiao evaluated him in his heart.

"Okay, go ahead."

As he said that, Li Qiao tried to take the child, but the man dodged to the side.

"Don't worry, I'm not tired. I can carry them over."

Li Qiao: “...Oh.” In fact, she was not worried about whether the man was tired or not.

He also prepared lunch.

A qualified gentleman will prepare everything and will not make the lady tired.

The table could seat four people, two people on each side. He put the two little ones on the two seats opposite, and then sat down next to Li Qiao.

Li Yao saw him sitting there and stared at the man's face that looked a bit like he deserved a beating.

What are you laughing at?

"I want to sit there." He pointed to Caius's seat, his tone leaving no room for doubt.

Caius stared at him silently. After two seconds, he stood up, walked around the table to offer him a seat, bent down and touched his head, "Okay, kid, it's yours."

His voice was gentle, tickling Li Yao's ears. He pushed him away with a tight mouth, "Don't get so close, okay? I need some fresh air."

Little devil, you're shy...

Caius just smiled and said nothing, stepping aside to make way.

After finally being seated, it was time to order.

There were four menus, one for each person. Li Qiao flipped through two pages at random, ordered a dish at random, and then closed the menu.

"No favorite?"

Caius hadn't touched the menu in front of him. Seeing that Li Qiao didn't seem interested, he thought she didn't like it.

"No, it's fine."

Caius knew she was being perfunctory, but he still smiled and said, "The little puddings here are delicious. You can try some."

He seems to have no temper and looks very gentle.

"Okay, thank you." Li Qiao paused, "Also, thank you for the gifts you prepared for them."

"It's my pleasure."

While the adults were talking, the two children were concentrating on the menu. Little Li Yao and Caius had similar tastes, both liking sweet food. Li Yao, on the other hand, was a bit more complex, not having a particular favorite. Aside from liking vegetables, he was fine with everything else.

Order, serve, eat...

It seemed like an ordinary dinner party.

After eating and drinking, Li Yao was about to tell Caius that they could go home and say goodbye, but Caius suddenly stood up and said, "Sorry, I'm going to be out for a while and will be back soon."

When he came back, he was holding two large objects, which looked like large square photo frames.

When I looked closer, I realized it was really a large photo frame.

Two oil paintings.

He showed it to the children.

The two paintings were framed in exquisite golden frames. One of them showed a child. Even though the two children looked very similar, their temperaments and styles were completely different in his paintings, making them easy to distinguish.

He drew this as a gift for a child to celebrate his third birthday.

Very lifelike.

"Happy birthday, good boy."

His eyes were gentle, falling on the child with a surprised expression.

Little Li Yao was pleasantly surprised. He knew what a birthday was, but he had always thought he didn't have one, which was why no one had ever mentioned it. It didn't matter; he wasn't disappointed. But now, he understood: he did have a birthday.
