Chapter 207: Are We Still Having a Banquet?

Upon hearing this, the child, who had originally had no expression on his face, suddenly stood up and walked out in a hurry, even forgetting about his younger brother.

"Hey?" Mu Mu's grandmother chased after him. Why was the child running so fast?

Li Qiao came to pick up the children. It was not yet eight o'clock, but something happened at home and he needed to call them back together.

Li Yao also wanted to know why Caius didn't come, but Li Qiao just shook his head and said nothing.

"Xiao Qiao, do you want some fruit?"

Grandma Mu Mu pushed a plate of fruit on the table towards Li Qiao, happily wanting her to eat it.

Li Yao saw it and paused. This was what Mu Mu’s stepmother had left over.

He was about to speak when Li Qiao refused, "Thank you, but I won't eat it. I've already eaten at home."

"We've only been playing for a short while, and you're leaving already?" From the tone of his voice, it seemed that he was reluctant to let go.

"Something happened at home, so I won't bother you anymore." Li Qiao patted Li Yao's head, "Go, call your brother out, let's go home."

Li Yao didn't know what it was, but it must be something important, otherwise Li Qiao wouldn't have dressed up to pick them up. You know, when they came, Li Qiao said he was going to go to bed.

Little Li Yao was not stupid either. When he realized that it was his mother, he said goodbye to Mu Mu and was about to leave. Mu Mu called him, "Wait, take this away. It's delicious." She handed him a handful of biscuits, the kind she ate, with a scallion flavor.

Little Li Yao scratched his head and didn't want to take it, but Mu Mu stuffed it directly into his pocket and then turned around and ran away.

He looked at the big pocket on his belly and felt like crying. He should not have worn this dress. Why did it have such a big pocket?

After standing there for a while, he ran to Li Qiao with a bag of biscuits in his pocket, raised his head and asked, "Where's Dad?"

"Dad's out."

Going out?

He wanted to ask more, but Li Qiao didn't say much. He simply said goodbye and took them away.

After leaving Mu Mu's house, Li Yao spoke, "Did something happen to him?"

"Who is he?" Li Qiao couldn't help laughing, pinched his little face, and asked even though he knew the answer.

Li Yao didn't say anything. Although he acknowledged Caius's identity, he almost never said this name.

"He's allergic." Li Qiao straightened up and added, "He's in the hospital now. We just sent him there."

"Why is he allergic? He..." He's not dead, right?

The child's worried look clearly expressed his concern. Li Qiao shook her head slightly, "We haven't found the allergen yet. Mom will take you there."

Li Qiao originally planned to go to bed. After Caius came back from sending the children, he stayed in the living room to watch TV. As he watched, he felt his throat itchy and painful, and then his arms and neck, in short, he felt itchy all over.

At first he didn't react and thought he was bitten by a mosquito. It was only when Li Qiao came out to pour water that he realized his condition was very serious.

Caius didn't look in the mirror, so he didn't know his face was all red and swollen. Li Qiao knew he was particularly concerned about his face, so he didn't give him a chance to use the mirror and took away his phone.

It looked quite serious, and there was no ointment at home, so Li Qiao hurriedly changed his clothes and took him to the hospital. He is still on an IV drip.

When she came, he was still whining and not wanting her to leave, staring at her eagerly, afraid of being left behind.

But Li Qiao still left because he had to pick up the children, otherwise it would be very late if he delayed any longer.

Little Li Yao wasn't quite sure what a severe allergy was, but he learned from his mother's brief words that his father was in the hospital.

He had seen the TV series, and the scene of Caius dying and unconscious instantly emerged in his mind, which made his heart pound and his lips turned pale with fear.

Li Qiao tried to comfort him, but it was no use. He was very convinced of what he had imagined in his mind, that his father must be dying.

Seeing that he couldn't convince others, Li Qiao simply stopped talking. He thought that everyone would know when they got to the hospital. However, when the little guy arrived at the hospital, the misunderstanding deepened.

Caius was already asleep at this moment, with his eyes tightly closed, motionless, and covered with a white quilt, looking really like dead.

Little Li Yao stood blankly at the door, tears rolling down his eyes and dripping onto the ground along his cheeks without making any sound.

He came running. Li Qiao was stopped by the doctor outside the door. He thought that there was no one else in the ward and that the child would be fine if he went there by himself, so he didn't think much about it.

Who could have expected that the little guy would run wildly along the lines in his mind, tears falling from his eyes. Li Yao, who was one step behind, saw him like this, and then looked at the lifeless man on the bed, and his heart skipped a beat.

What's wrong?

Nothing really happened, did it?

He was about to go over to take a look when little Li Yao suddenly ran over, sat on the bench, and leaned over the bed, saying in a tearful voice, "Dad, we will take good care of Mom."

That's what the TV series said, and he thought it was right. Although his father was gone, they were still there, and they would take care of his mother, including his father's share.

Caius was woken up and frowned. After hearing these words, he felt relieved. He thought that the child was well raised and knew how to take care of his mother at such a young age.

He didn't know that in the little guy's heart, he, the father, was about to die.

"Brother..." The little guy wiped his tears, his eyes red, "Is it time for the feast?"

"I want to invite Mu Mu, Duo Duo, Zhou Zilong, and Ning Ning..."

The more he spoke, the more he wanted to cry, but he still kept mumbling about the banquet like a little adult, saying that he was already a big boy, and although his father was dead, they wanted to give him the best funeral, and of course, the banquet had to be the best too.

Have a feast?

Li Yao didn't know why his brain circuit was so strange, and his face was full of black lines. Although he didn't know what the situation was, he was definitely not dead.

After calming himself down, he slowly walked to the bedside and met Caius's eyes as he opened his eyes.

Caius was so angry that he almost laughed. His allergy didn't kill him, but he was almost pissed off by his own son. "Eat at the feast? Whose feast?"

Little Li Yao was startled, a tear spilled from his eye, and he almost fell off the bench, "Fake...Fake..."

"What are you trying to trick?"

This child watched too many TV dramas and learned a lot from them. Caius silently made a decision that from now on, he would only let him watch cartoons.

"Dad, you're not dead, that's great!" The little guy smiled happily and rubbed Caius' arm affectionately, completely unaware of his father's inner depression and the urge to spank the child.

Caius couldn't swallow it or spit it out in one breath. He stared at him for a few seconds and turned his head away helplessly.

Forget it, this kid is also worried about him.

Look at those eyes, they are all red.

only……

"Are we still having the feast?"
