"Huh?"
The man slammed on the brakes and took two steps back. In the one-second reaction time, he raised his hand, hugged the child, and started running, holding the child in one hand.
It was so fast that it disappeared in a flash.
Coach: “…” There was a sharp popping sound.
The scene was in chaos and it became crowded within a minute. It was very difficult to move forward, blocking the way for many people.
The two bearded men were chasing me. They couldn't get past me now, and seeing they'd lost me, they could only stand there, anxious. After calming down, they turned and ran off, cursing. I didn't know what had happened to make them chase me this far.
Li Yao was grabbed by the back of his collar, and the scene in front of him changed rapidly. He struggled but couldn't get free, so he simply stopped moving and stared at the running man with a deep look in his eyes.
The man's running did not prevent him from multitasking. He glanced at the child in his hands from time to time, and his facial expressions were very rich.
After turning several times, they arrived at a remote small park. The man finally stopped, and Li Yao was finally no longer choked by his neck. He breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed.
"Hey, little guy."
A person who is "exactly the same" as himself is greeting him.
Li Yao raised his head and looked at him calmly, "Why did you bring me here?"
"Hello, my name is Caius."
The man was very curious and couldn't help pinching the child's face to see if it was a fake face, but it was a real face.
Don't touch me!
Li Yao glared at him.
The man smiled and withdrew his hand. He felt annoyed that his hair was blocking his view, so he casually pushed it back, revealing his entire face.
The two people who looked similar stared at each other silently.
"You and I are very similar." Caius was amazed. Perhaps it was because of this that he acted faster than his brain and directly "kidnapped" the child.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm very similar to you. So, can I leave now?"
The calmness displayed by the child surprised Caius even more. He pulled his lips slightly and said with a smile, "No way."
He drawled out his words like a street thug, sitting on a bench with the child on his lap, confined, looking completely nonchalant.
Li Yao felt that this man gave off a rogue vibe. He thought he was not a good guy.
"Aren't you crying?"
The man's eyes were as round as a cat's, and he looked at Li Yao as if he was looking at some strange little animal.
"Why are you crying?"
Li Yao gave him a blank look, raised his hand and patted the man's arm, "Put me down."
"All right……"
Caius silently put the child on the ground and looked down at the fair and tender little person in front of him.
"Little guy, don't you think you and I look exactly the same?"
"I don't think so."
"Oh, well, you're right. We have different eye colors..."
"Then what?"
"And then? Nothing happened."
Li Yao was speechless and choked.
What the hell is this guy doing?
Caius seemed to notice the little fellow's speechlessness. He straightened his expression and chuckled softly, "What should I do? I believe you and I are related by blood."
"What blood relationship?" Li Yao's eyes flickered slightly, pretending to be confused.
"You could be my... lost child from home."
Caius nodded. "How about I take you home?" He chuckled, not sure if what he said was true or not.
"No!" Li Yao refused.
"Ah... why not?" He seemed very confused.
"I have a family, and besides, I don't know you."
Children's patience is limited. Thinking about Yu Rufeng finding out that he is missing, and then that little brat Li Yao will definitely cry again... Just thinking about it makes him very distressed.
He was anxious to go back, not wanting to be with a man with a bubble in his head.
But the man relied on his big body and refused to let him go.
"Don't worry, I'll send you back." He murmured, "I don't like stealing children."
Li Yao stopped talking, since he couldn't escape anyway. For a moment, neither of them spoke. The two similar faces, one large and one small, stared at each other in bewilderment. From the perspective of an onlooker, it was more or less a bit funny.
"What's your name?" Caius asked sincerely.
"I won't tell you." Li Yao turned his head away. He was no longer a polite child.
Caius didn't get a response, but he didn't get disappointed. He patted the little guy's head and asked, "Are you thirsty?"
"Are you going to poison me?"
The child looked alert. Caius was stunned for two seconds, then suddenly burst into laughter. The magnetic laughter reached Li Yao's ears. He glanced at the man and said nothing.
"Why would I poison you? You're so cute, little one."
No, I'm not cute.
Li Yao refused to continue the boring and meaningless conversation with him.
"Okay, I'll take you back."
The man became serious, his previous nonchalance completely gone, and he bent down to pick up the child on the ground.
The wind got stronger, and the child's immunity was not high, so he silently protected the child in his arms under his coat.
His coat was big and long, and Li Yao's whole body was wrapped in it, with only his head exposed.
The man was wearing very thin clothes under his coat, and the cool little hand accidentally touched his neck. He smiled and said, "It's so cold?", and his strong arms tightened a little.
Li Yao didn't say anything, half lying on the man's shoulder.
This man doesn't look very decent, but I have to say, he smells quite nice. If Li Yao were to describe it, it would be like the smell of the wind.
God knows what the wind smells like, but his first reaction was this, which was very strange.
"Little guy, if I had a child, it might not be more like me than you. We are destined to be together, aren't we?"
Li Yao could clearly feel the vibration in the man's chest. He looked at the words on the sign at the intersection from afar without saying a word.
So what? We're just strangers.
He also thought about it for a while, wondering if this was his "biological father", but the idea was dismissed as soon as it came out, because his "father" did not look like this.
He still has photos, but no matter what, he doesn't look like this.
Maybe it's really fate. There are such similar people in the world. Or maybe this person is related to him. Who knows? He doesn't care and won't recognize him even if he is a relative.
"Hey, look, they are arguing."
The man pulled Li Yao out of his own world with a tone that implied he was looking forward to the show.
I casually glanced along his line of sight.
He clenched his fists and frowned fiercely.
"What's wrong?" Caius looked concerned.
At this time, the two people who were quarreling also discovered them.
A man and a woman, they were the "old acquaintances" Fu Han and Lin Yun.
