Chapter 6

Chapter 6

After turning the corridor, the smoking area was in front. Sheng Jinyu suddenly stopped in his tracks. Yan Yichen, who was following closely behind him, almost stepped on his shoe and asked blankly, "Why don't you come in..."

"Shh." Sheng Jinyu raised his index finger at him.

On the other side of the wall, two men in suits were discussing business matters. As they chatted about this and that, they inevitably talked about tonight's protagonist. They exchanged words, staging a crusade against Sheng Jin and his reputation.

They said he was idle and not doing his job, that he deserved to have his arm broken for recklessly racing, and that the Sheng family would be ruined if it was left to him.

When they were having fun, they would echo each other, and try to raise their own status by belittling those in higher positions. The entire smoking area was filled with laughter and ridicule.

They arrived at the wrong time and heard everything they should and shouldn't have heard. Yan Yichen was speechless. He was about to speak when Sheng Jinyu grabbed him and raised his hand to signal the people inside to come out.

The door of the smoking area was pushed open, and the two people who had just finished gossiping looked up in surprise. After they finished saying bad things, they bumped into the person himself, which really scared them into breaking out in a cold sweat.

However, they reacted very quickly and immediately put on a warm smile, like rats that drank oil, praising Sheng Jin for his virtue and talent, and were so considerate that they wanted to follow the young master in to help him light his cigarette.

"With Young Master Sheng, the Sheng family doesn't have to worry about anything anymore. But you have to make sure you get enough rest. After all, your health is the capital of revolution..."

Sheng Jinyu's expression remained stern, and his tone was neither salty nor indifferent: "Uncle Zhao seems to be in good spirits. I wonder if this door has some magical power?"

The man called Uncle Zhao was stunned, and waved his hands with a smile: "That's impossible. I'm an old man now, maybe..."

Before he could finish his words, Sheng Jin, with undisguised disgust in his eyes, added mercilessly, "Otherwise, how could it be one way inside and another way outside?"

The two people opposite turned pale in an instant, their lips became knotted with anxiety, and they stammered in their explanations.

Sheng Jinyu ignored them and turned to walk in. Yan Yichen followed with a suppressed laugh. He turned back to look at the two men running away with their buttocks tucked under their laps, and found it ridiculous and funny.

At this moment, Sheng Jinyu suddenly looked at him and said, "Aren't you curious about what kind of person he is?"

Yan Yichen knew he was referring to the new assistant, so he raised his eyebrows and motioned him to continue.

Sheng Jinyu glanced at the direction where the two men disappeared and said calmly, "He's actually no different from these people."

These people appeared around Sheng Jin one after another like mushrooms after rain. No matter what they thought of him behind his back or what their purpose was, when they were in front of him, they pretended to be friendly and warm, and were flattering and fawning.

Su He was no exception. He clearly tried his best to kill him, but he insisted on appearing docile and harmless.

It is difficult to tell whether it is true or false to flatter or cling to someone.

·

Su He stayed alone in the room in the villa for a day. He had packed his luggage, but he didn't actually bring anything with him. The room was not much different from when he first arrived.

Only the desk was filled with things, including a small eye-protection desk lamp, a few pens and some notebooks. In the small fish tank in the corner were the two goldfish brought from the Su family.

If he were to live here for a long time, he would probably use this table more frequently than the bed.

Su He decided to go back to his old job, maybe he could make some extra money. It would also be great to travel around the world before he died.

He spent the whole afternoon writing at his desk, and when he looked up again, it was already dark outside the window.

Su He organized the 5,000-word manuscript on the paper, took a picture with his mobile phone, recognized the text, and organized it into a document. If it weren't for the original owner's fragile eyes, he wouldn't have to go through so much trouble.

When he was checking the manuscript again, he found that it was a coincidence that the protagonist he wrote was also a very good racing driver.

Thinking of this, Su He inexplicably thought of Sheng Jinyu.

This man left the house silently in the afternoon, as if he didn't exist. But it didn't matter. As long as Sheng Jinyu didn't give him a chance and he didn't betray him, Su He just lay there and felt at ease.

After checking, he casually posted the manuscript on the website. As soon as he exited the website, he received a message from the courier informing him that the items he sent had been signed for.

Yesterday, the organizer of the event that the original owner participated in called him and asked for his address to mail the prizes. Su He had no choice but to give out the address of Xiaoxie Garden.

After all, it belonged to the original owner. It was already embarrassing for him to occupy the original owner's place, but he couldn't just throw it away.

Su He went to the living room and asked S037. Its search program turned for a while and replied, "Don't worry, Su He. Your things are probably being treated as reserve items and put into the warehouse with other express deliveries."

"Then can I go look for it?" Su He asked.

"Of course, I'll take you there."

S037 led the way to the underground warehouse in the backyard of the villa. The entire space was very large and was almost entirely filled with express boxes, making it look like a logistics center.

Originally, S037 wanted to stay and help Su He look for it, but the servant and the chef happened to come and needed it to help confirm tonight's menu.

After S037 left, he was the only one left in the huge space, and the sound of his footsteps echoed clearly in the huge space.

Su He compared the inventory records given to him by S037 and searched row by row. The sensor lights lit up as he moved. It was really not an easy task to find a small object in the entire warehouse.

As he was walking, Su He suddenly stopped, paused all movements and listened attentively.

He vaguely heard the rustling and irregular banging sounds, which instantly filled the already silent warehouse with a strange atmosphere.

Didn't S037 say that there was no one in the warehouse? Could it be...

Su He shrank his neck. He didn't want to focus on the strange sound, but the more he avoided it, the clearer it became. Countless suspense and horror scenes he had seen filled his mind. He was afraid that he would not be able to sleep today if he didn't figure out what it was.

So Su He held up the folder in his hand and slowly moved towards the source of the sound.

After turning a row of shelves, a separate compartment appeared in front of him. The person who made the sound raised his head and glanced coldly at the sudden intruder.

When Su He was stared at like that, he actually breathed a sigh of relief and slowly put the folder down.

Fortunately, it was a human being, although seeing him might not be much better than seeing those weird things.

Su He took two steps forward and asked with concern: "Mr. Sheng, do you need any help?"

The dim light in the warehouse fell on Sheng Jinyu's face, leaving a clear line of light and dark on his well-defined face.

He was sitting casually on a cardboard box, holding a mechanical object in his hand, seemingly trying to repair it, but due to his injured right hand he had no strength to use it, so he struggled with the object silently.

Sheng Jinyu just glanced at him, ignored him, and lowered his head to continue doing his own thing.

"Okay." Su He answered himself in a low voice. Without stopping, he turned around and continued to look for something.

One person suddenly becomes two people.

Su He listened to the intermittent knocking sounds and felt inexplicably at peace.

He quickly found what he wanted, borrowed a pair of scissors from the warehouse to open the express box, and discovered a crystal trophy and an award certificate inside.

Su He squatted on the ground, holding the trophy high towards the light. The light passed through the crystal and projected onto the ground, forming the shape of stars. He turned the trophy, and the stars moved with it, like a flowing galaxy scattered all over the ground.

He smiled and walked back with the things in his arms. The knocking sound continued tirelessly, and Su He had already walked a long way.

After thinking about it, I decided to go back.

Su He stood next to Sheng Jinyu and didn't ask him if he needed help. He just said, "Can you move aside for a moment? I want to sit down too."

Sheng Jinyu didn't even raise his head: "It's such a big place, why do you have to sit here?"

"Then squatting is fine." Su He put the things in his hand aside, and squatted down beside Sheng Jinyu, with his hands on his knees, and looked around as if he was very curious.

Sheng Jinyu was holding an object that looked like a car engine, but judging by its size, it was probably a model car engine, only as big as half of his forearm.

He was so fascinated by the staring that he didn't notice that Sheng Jinyu was also looking at him. Sheng Jinyu narrowed his eyes and glanced at this very familiar man with a cold light in his eyes, but he could only see the top of Su Ke's head.

His eye attack had no effect on the target at all.

Su He just watched obediently without taking any further action. Sheng Jinyu was too lazy to look at him again and continued with his hands.

The accident caused a fracture in his right lower arm and muscle contusion. The broken front windshield pierced his palm and injured his tendons and bones. As a result, Sheng Jinyu not only cannot use his arm strength, but also affects the accuracy of his fingers.

Even though he tried his best to avoid errors caused by finger movements, he would still be off-position nine times out of ten.

Sheng Jinyu's forehead was covered with a thin layer of sweat, and a nameless fire rose in his heart.

Because Su He was looking at him very intently...and seemed particularly interested in the thing in his hand.

After a while, Sheng Jinyu looked up expressionlessly: "Are you free?"

Su He nodded honestly: "Well, I have nothing to do."

Sheng Jinyu laughed out loud.

The corners of his mouth curled up slightly, the arc was almost imperceptible, but it was clearly filled with coldness: "Sheng Zonglan really made it too easy for you to take this money. Go to the collection room and clean all the models. You are not allowed to eat until you finish cleaning them."

He spoke bluntly, and anyone could tell that he was deliberately trying to make things difficult for them.

Sheng Jinyu now just wanted to get rid of the person and didn't want to see those eyes for even a second longer.

"OK."

Su He didn't complain at all. He immediately stood up, walked around him and pushed open the door of the collection room.

Sheng Jinyu glanced over at this moment.

He knew exactly how many things were in his collection room, and he also knew exactly how difficult the task he had just given was, because the servant in charge of cleaning the room had secretly cursed him behind his back, saying that he had money to burn, and unfortunately he heard it.

He just wanted to see how long Su He would continue to pretend before he could no longer hold back and finally break off relations.

Su He swept his eyes across the huge space and was stunned by the ornaments on all four walls in front of him.

He couldn't help but exclaim, his tone tinged with envy. "There are so many beautiful racing car models. I heard that many competitions also give out models as prizes, customized according to the car the driver drives. Are there any models that Mr. Sheng has driven?"

He looked left and right. As for racing cars, before he started writing, he could only touch these objects that could vibrate with sound and passion through the screen. Su He always hoped that one day he could go to watch a race in person.

However, there was a "bang!"

Before he could wait for a reply from the model owner, he heard a not-so-gentle sound of a door closing.
