"dad."
Seeing that Mr. Cui had woken up, the Cui family was overjoyed and surrounded him.
"How are you feeling? Are you feeling unwell?"
"Dad, you scared us all just now."
Mr. Cui sat up straight, his head aching from the constant chatter. He waved his hand and said, "It's okay."
He had just recovered and his voice was a little weak.
After hearing his words, Cui Ming was finally relieved. It seemed that the medicine given by An Ci was indeed fine.
He whispered, "Dad, this time it's all thanks to the young master's medicine."
This time, Cui Wanmei didn't dare to say anything. After all, the old man's awakening was enough to prove that the medicine given by An Ci was fine.
Although Mr. Cui was unconscious just now, he was conscious and heard everything they said to An Ci.
He looked at the "boy" opposite him who was concentrating on eating cake, his cloudy eyes narrowed slightly, with a questioning look in his eyes.
He didn't say anything. An Ci was more patient than him and finished the whole cake under his gaze.
Seeing her put down her fork and wipe her mouth, Mr. Cui finally stopped pretending to be silent. "Brother An has always cherished his little grandson. How could he let you go around alone without anyone accompanying you?"
"I sent it." An Ci met his gaze fearlessly, her eyes slightly curved, and her smile made her look even more harmless. "I'm going to the bathroom. I asked him to help me keep an eye on the strawberry cake in the lobby to see when it's served."
Mr. Cui's face was filled with speechlessness. At this moment, there was a knock on the door.
The young man went to open the door, and it turned out to be the bodyguard who had been guarding the door.
"Mr. Lin, Dr. Bot is here."
Cui Donglin is Cui Ming's youngest son, but he is the most business-minded among the younger generation of the Cui family and is deeply loved by Mr. Cui.
Seeing Dr. Bot coming, Cui Donglin quickly invited him in and asked him to take Mr. Cui's pulse.
However, after taking the patient's pulse, Dr. Bot's expression suddenly became strange, as if he was surprised and confused.
He turned to look at Cui Ming and asked, "Have you given Mr. Cui any medicine?"
Upon hearing this, Cui Wanmei seemed to have caught something. She quickly picked up the small porcelain bottle on the table and handed it to Dr. Bot, "Yes, my father took two of these pills."
Dr. Bot took the small porcelain bottle, and Cui Wanmei couldn't wait to ask, "Is there something wrong with the medicine?"
Cui Ming frowned, feeling that her words were a bit offensive. He glanced in the direction of An Ci, but unexpectedly she suddenly looked over and their gaze met.
The "boy" smiled at him, and the innocent smile made Cui Ming blush, as if someone had kindly offered a helping hand, but his family repaid the kindness with hatred.
Dr. Bot poured out a pill and sniffed it carefully, his expression becoming increasingly complicated. The next second, he noticed the word "moon" on the porcelain bottle and immediately understood.
"It turns out to be Mr. Yue's medicine, no wonder."
Cui Ming and the others looked at each other with a look of admiration, and then they heard Dr. Bot continue, "It's a good thing we had this bottle of pills this time, otherwise Mr. Cui would be in danger."
In fact, he was being more tactful. If he had really waited until he arrived, Mr. Cui would probably have been dead.
When Cui Ming heard this, he immediately felt even more grateful to An Ci.
"You must keep this bottle of medicine safe, it can save your life at a critical moment." Dr. Bot carefully put the pills back into the porcelain bottle. You know, Mr. Yue's medicine can always be auctioned for a sky-high price, so you can imagine how precious it is.
"Mr. Cui is fine now, but he shouldn't drink alcohol for the next two days and should get more rest."
Cui Ming nodded, put away the small porcelain bottle, and asked the bodyguard to send Dr. Bot out.
"I have to go back, otherwise my grandpa will be worried." An Ci stood up and casually pulled his coat closer.
"That's great, let's go together." Mr. Cui took over.
An Ci did not refuse and followed them out of the room. On the way, Mr. Cui's eyes fell on her intentionally or unintentionally, but An Ci didn't care.
Just watch it, it won’t hurt you.
"Can I call you Xiao Ci?" Mr. Cui had just woken up and was still very weak. He could only walk slowly.
An Ci slowed down his pace, his brows relaxed, "Of course."
"Xiao Ci, I remember that your grandfather has never taken you to a banquet. Aren't you nervous about attending such an occasion for the first time?" Mr. Cui asked in a casual tone.
"Why are you asking me the same question as my grandfather?" An Ci looked puzzled. "Isn't the purpose of attending a banquet to eat and drink?"
Mr. Cui couldn't help laughing when she looked at him with a look that said "You are really weird."
It seems that a newborn calf is not afraid of a tiger.
When the Cui family members walking behind heard this, Cui Ming inexplicably felt that it was expected for her to say this. After all, he had just witnessed her love for strawberry cake.
Cui Wanmei looked at the back of An Ci's head, a mocking sneer flashing in her eyes.
It seems that the young master of the An family is not that great. He actually thinks that attending a banquet is just for eating and drinking. How naive and ridiculous.
An Ci looked at Mr. Cui with a confused expression, "Isn't it?"
"I guess so." Mr. Cui laughed.
"Little words."
Suddenly someone called her. An Ci turned around and saw a tall and slender figure jogging towards her under the bright light. The hem of his black tuxedo drew a beautiful arc in the air.
Eric stopped in front of An Ci and said, "Where have you been? I can't find you anywhere..."
Noticing the person next to An Ci, he paused, "Mr. Cui?"
Mr. Cui nodded with a kind smile on his face, "Who are you?"
