An Yiheng glared at him, shaking with anger, "You..."
An Yiyao held him back, "Yiheng."
He turned to look at Eric and said, "Sorry, Eric, don't take Yiheng's words to heart. Thank you for this time."
Eric looked away and snorted.
"Everyone, please speak less. Let's not start a fight at this time." An Jianwen tried to smooth things over.
Anyang echoed, "That's right, we should unite to deal with those men in black."
Before he finished speaking, a dull thunder was heard in the sky.
An Ci raised his head and looked at the gray sky, his brows twitching.
Is it going to rain?
No way.
However, the more you fear something, the more likely it is to happen. With a "click", she felt a chill on her forehead and heard Eric's voice beside her.
"Fuck, it's raining."
An Ci pulled up his hat and said, "Let's go."
It looks like this rain is going to be heavy, so we have to find a place to shelter from the rain quickly.
Just like that, the nine people started running wildly again.
Dark clouds surged, and the gloomy sky seemed to be about to collapse at any time. The strong wind and rain lashed them mercilessly.
Fortunately, they were still a little lucky. They found a cave and the nine of them hurried in.
The cave was very shallow and pitch black. A cold wind blew by, making it feel eerie.
An Ci raised his hand to wipe the rain off his face and looked at the empty cave, which only had two huge rocks in the corner.
After confirming that there was no problem, she walked over and sat down, leaning her back against the wall to rest.
"Grandpa is going to torture us to death." Eric took a deep breath and couldn't help complaining.
First his backpack was stolen, then he was chased by a dog before dawn, and now he was caught in a rainstorm. He felt like half his life was almost gone in just one day.
An Ci took off her coat and shook it, then wrung out the rainwater bit by bit with her hands. She laughed, "It's going to be tough, for sure, but it won't kill you."
Eric sighed, "I miss my bed so much."
The others remained silent, but they had the same idea as him.
They have never felt miserable even during normal training since they were young. This is the first time they have suffered such pain.
The atmosphere suddenly became emo.
An Ci put her coat aside to dry. Noticing everyone's depressed mood, she said, "Everyone, take a break first. We can go out and find some firewood later when the rain stops."
"What are you looking for firewood for?" Eric sat next to her and looked at her inquiringly.
"Let's make a fire." An Ci looked him up and down. "Are you planning on wearing wet clothes?"
"But how do you start a fire without a lighter?" Eric asked.
An Ci curled his lips, a sly smile flashing in his eyes, "Who said there wasn't?"
In front of them, she reached into her trouser pocket and pulled out a box of matches.
Everyone was stunned.
Eric was surprised and delighted, "You actually hid matches on your body."
An Ci smiled and turned the matchbox lazily, "I'm used to it."
In her previous life, she often ran into the mountains and wilderness, and just in case, she always carried a lighter or matches with her.
Hearing her say she was used to it, Eric thought she was used to roasting sweet potatoes in the vegetable garden, and his eyes lit up, "What else are you hiding?"
An Ci shrugged, "No more."
"No more?" Eric looked disappointed.
An Ci rolled her eyes at him. She wasn't a treasure trove, so it was good enough that she could hide a box of matches.
There was a heavy rain outside, and there was a rare moment of peace in the cave. Everyone sat in the corner and took a nap.
Until the evening, the rain gradually subsided and began to fall lightly.
An Ci stood up, picked up his coat and put it on, then pulled Eric up and said, "Let's go find some firewood."
Anyang stood up and dusted off his pants, "I'll go with you."
"I'll go too," An Jianwen said. "It'll be faster if we have more people."
"Then the four of us will go." An Ci nodded and turned to look at An Yiyao and the others, "You wait here."
An Yiyao said, "Be careful."
Having just experienced a heavy rain, the road became even more slippery, and An Ci and the other three could only walk slowly.
Looking at An Ci who was walking in front, An Yang couldn't help but ask, "Xiao Ci, why aren't you afraid?"
She is obviously the youngest one, but she is calmer than anyone else, as if she is not afraid even if the sky falls.
An Ci curled his lips, "Is being afraid useful?"
Anyang choked, "..."
There is strength in numbers. After a short while, the four of them had collected a pile of firewood. Afraid that they would not be able to see the road clearly in the dark, they hurried back the same way.
"His forehead is so hot, it can't keep burning like this."
"Why don't we go find the men in black and have them contact the head of the family to ask Yiheng and Siyu to withdraw from this training camp."
"No, I won't quit. I can get through this."
"But your forehead is so hot..."
Hearing the voices coming from the cave, An Ci quickened his pace and walked in. "What happened?"
"Yiheng and Siyu have a fever."
The young man who spoke was called Andingzhu. He had a baby face but a low, hoarse voice like a smoker.
An Ci frowned, threw the firewood in his hand to the ground, and walked in front of An Siyu.
She bent down and touched her forehead, which was a little hot.
"I'm fine." An Siyu grabbed the corner of An Ci's clothes and looked at her with a stubborn look in her eyes, "I won't quit the training camp."
After she turns sixteen, she no longer needs to go to the manor for classes. This training session is also the last one. If she withdraws early, she will be looked down upon when she returns.
The most important thing is that it may affect her taking over her father's position, so she must hold on.
