Before they could hesitate, the remaining wolfhounds saw their companions being killed and immediately pounced on them, their sharp fangs flashing coldly.
"Hurry up and do it."
An Ci shouted, and the next second he was knocked to the ground by the wolfhound.
Eric was so scared that he almost lost his soul. "Xiao Ci."
He wanted to rush over to help, but was besieged by the other two wolfhounds. Eric was anxious. He gritted his teeth, stomped his feet, pulled out a dagger and stabbed the wolfhounds that attacked him.
The situation of the others was not much better. They kept waving their daggers at the wolfhound, but they couldn't hit the wolfhound's vital points. Instead, they completely enraged the wolfhound.
"Ahhhh."
An Ci looked at the wolfhound's bloody mouth opened towards her, strangled its neck with one hand, and raised the dagger with the other hand to stab it.
“Ouch—”
A shrill scream pierced the darkness. An Ci threw the wolfhound off his body and quickly stood up.
"ah."
Eric screamed from the side, and An Ci thought he was injured, so he ran over quickly.
"What's wrong?"
Eric turned around with difficulty and met her eyes with a horrified expression. "I, I killed it."
Hearing this, An Ci was stunned and looked down at the wolfdog lying at his feet, with a dagger on it.
She bent down and pulled out the dagger, then put it back into his hand. "You did well."
The voice was very faint and light, which made people feel at ease for some reason.
Eric's tense body gradually relaxed, but he still felt a little nauseous when he saw the blood-stained dagger in his hand.
Compared to him who successfully killed the wolfdog, An Siyu was in a much more miserable situation. She was still running a fever and had no strength in her body. Facing the fierce attack of the wolfdog, she was defeated step by step.
Finally, she was knocked to the ground by the wolfhound. Seeing the sharp fangs about to bite her neck, she closed her eyes in fear.
However, the pain she imagined did not come. Instead, she felt her body lighten and a gentle voice came to her ears.
"Are you okay?"
An Siyu opened her eyes, and when she saw An Ci's delicate little face reflected in her frightened eyes, she immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
Knowing that it was An Ci who saved her again, she said gratefully, "Thank you."
An Ci shook his head and reached out to pull her up, "You stay in the cave first."
An Siyu nodded and walked back to the cave with weak steps.
Like her, An Yiheng was also sent back to the cave. He had such a high fever that he could not even stand steadily. An Yiyao was afraid that something might happen to him, so he simply stuffed him back into the cave.
After a long time, the fighting finally ended.
Everyone was in a mess, with their hands and faces covered in blood to varying degrees.
A cold wind blew, and the strong smell of blood filled the air, which was very choking.
Eric and Anyang couldn't help themselves and ran to the side and vomited.
An Jianwen looked at the mess on the ground and said, suppressing his discomfort, "What should we do with these?"
An Ci pulled off a few leaves and carefully wiped the blood off her hands. When she heard his words, the corners of her lips curled up slightly, "Roasted."
An Jianwen stared at her blankly, "..."
Is she crazy with hunger?
"No way, you still want to eat them?" Eric came back after vomiting, and his face became even paler when he heard that An Ci wanted to roast the wolfhound.
"Are you still eating?"
Seeing their expressions as if they had seen a ghost, An Ci chuckled, "Why are you taking it so seriously? I'm just joking."
Others, “…”
The expression on your face just now didn't seem like you were joking.
Eric said, "Let's go to the beach and take a shower. I can't sleep with the smell of blood all over me."
"Me too." Anyang raised his hand and agreed.
Having just experienced such a bloody thing, he now has no desire to sleep at all.
An Ci looked at An Yiyao and the others, "You guys want to go too?"
An Yiyao and others nodded.
"Okay, let's go." An Ci planned to see if there were any herbs that could cure the fever.
Since An Yiheng and An Siyu were still running a fever, An Ci asked them to stay in the cave to rest. Before leaving, they found a corner and piled all the wolfhounds together.
In the middle of the night, the waves hit the rocks, rolling up waves.
An Ci put her hands into the sea water and was startled by the cold. She quickly washed her hands and then washed her face until the smell of blood faded.
Then, she looked at An Yiyao and the others and said, "Wait here for a while, I'll be back soon."
"Where are you going?" Eric stood up and shook the water off his hands.
"I'll go see if there are any herbs over there." An Ci pointed to a small hill not far away.
Eric was stunned. "Why do you need herbs?"
An Ci straightened his coat and pulled up his hat. "Sister Siyu and An Yiheng have fevers, don't they? Find some herbs for them."
"You even know about herbs?" An Yang squatted down and repeatedly washed his hands. When he heard An Ci was going to pick herbs, he turned his head and looked at her. "You won't eat dead people, will you?"
An Ci tilted his head, a casual smile on his lips, "I don't think so. I gave it to Fugui when he had a fever before."
Hearing this, Anyang felt even more unreliable, "Where did you get the prescription?"
"In the book."
After saying that, An Ci turned around and left.
Anyang was too late to stop her, so she turned to look at Eric, "What book is she reading?"
"Who knows." Eric shrugged. "You know she reads a lot of different books. She reads all sorts of random things."
Anyang thought of her book on getting rich by raising pigs, and couldn't help but worry about An Siyu and An Yiheng.
The light was dim at night, which made it much more difficult for An Ci to find the herbs. After searching for a long time, she finally found one.
