After a pause, An Ci got to the point, "Besides, Dad won't agree."
This was exactly what An Lan was most worried about. She had mentioned the idea of having a third child before, intentionally or unintentionally, but Song Xiunian opposed it without even thinking about it and asked her to give up the idea.
"Okay, Mom, let's not talk about this anymore." An Ci was afraid that she would get stuck in a rut, so he tried to change the subject. "This skirt seems to suit me very well. What do you think?"
An Lan followed her gaze and saw a cyan dress with a simple, fresh and elegant style.
She nodded. "Not bad."
Hearing this, An Ci looked at the salesperson standing beside him and said, "Please pack this skirt as well."
The salesperson said yes, took the skirt and walked towards the counter, with the corners of her mouth almost grinning to the back of her head.
You know, the commission for any piece of clothing in the store is higher than her monthly salary, not to mention that An Lan picked more than one piece. She made a fortune today.
…
After shopping, the mother and daughter had dinner outside before going back.
Jinyuan was quiet and deserted at night. When the car passed the door of Villa No. 3, An Ci took a look out of habit.
The light at the door was dim, and the room upstairs was also dark.
An Ci lowered his eyes to hide the disappointment that flashed across his eyes. An Lan's voice rang in his ears, "Baby, what are you daydreaming about? We're home, get out of the car."
An Ci came to his senses, opened the car door, got out, and went around to the trunk to help carry things.
There were so many bags, big and small, that they couldn't be moved in one trip. Finally, Song Xi heard the noise and ran out to help.
After finishing the last move, Song Xi rolled his sour wrists, looked at the handbags piled on the sofa, and sighed, "Oh my God, why did you buy so much?"
However, An Lan didn't think so, and asked with a slightly questioning tone, "A lot?"
Song Xi nodded heavily and asked again, "Mom, did someone make you angry? Are you in a bad mood?"
An Lan looked confused, "No."
"puff."
An Ci came out of the kitchen and heard their conversation. He couldn't help laughing out loud.
She quipped, "Does Mom have to be in a bad mood to buy so much?"
An Lan reacted, feeling a bit amused and helpless. She pointed to some of the handbags and explained, "These are bought for grandpa and grandma, and these are bought by Zizi for grandpa."
Song Xi suddenly realized, scratched his head and smiled. Not far away, An Ci was leaning against the handrail of the stairs, drinking juice intermittently, when the phone in his pocket suddenly rang.
She straightened up, took out her cell phone and saw that it was Yuan Qi calling.
An Ci's eyes flickered slightly, but he didn't answer the call immediately. He looked up at An Lan and the others, "Mom, I'm going upstairs to take a shower first."
After saying that, she turned and went upstairs. As soon as she turned the corner, she answered the call, "Hello."
The person on the other end of the phone was silent for a few seconds, then said in a hoarse voice, "Thank you."
An Ci curled his lips and said, "Forget about thanking me. You promised to work for me for the rest of my life. I've made a profit."
Returning to the room, she closed the door, casually placed the juice on the table, and habitually lay down on the sofa. "Have you read the plan and contract I sent you?"
Yuan Qi said, "I saw it."
"If you have any ideas or opinions, please feel free to raise them." An Ci pinched his brows and said in a calm voice, "There's no need to be shy."
Yuan Qi thought for a moment and asked in a low voice, "Are you really confident in leaving the company to me?"
"I've sent you the contract. What do you think?" An Ci said lazily, "Just a reminder. Don't mention me outside anymore, and don't say I know you."
