Aunt Hong said, "I didn't say."
An Ci rubbed his sleepy eyes, threw off the quilt, got out of bed, and walked lazily towards the bathroom.
During this time, the cell phone on the bedside table rang.
Aunt Hong folded the quilt, glanced sideways, and saw the caller ID - Eric.
"Auntie Hong, who is it?"
An Ci's questioning voice came through the bathroom door. Aunt Hong reached out to pick up the phone and answered as she walked, "It's Master Eric."
She walked to the bathroom door, and An Ci just opened the door and walked out with wet hair, with water still dripping from the ends of her black hair.
"Why don't you wipe your hair?" Aunt Hong handed her the phone and hurried into the bathroom to get a headscarf.
The overly long hair blocked her view a little, so An Ci casually lifted the hair in front of her forehead and answered the call with her other hand.
"Hey, cousin."
"Is it up?" Five years later, Eric's hearty voice is still very recognizable.
"Wipe your hair." Aunt Hong put the turban on her shoulders. "I'll go prepare breakfast for you."
After saying that, she turned and left the room.
An Ci grabbed the headscarf and wiped his hair perfunctorily twice before continuing to talk to Eric. "Just woke up. What's up?"
On the other end of the phone, Eric came out of the airport and couldn't help rolling his eyes when he heard her words. He complained rudely, "I said, when will you change your forgetfulness? Didn't I tell you the day before yesterday that I was coming to Continent M today? We agreed to meet at Jueshi."
An Ci slapped herself on the forehead. Obviously, she had forgotten about this matter a long time ago. If Eric hadn't mentioned it, she would not have remembered it at all.
She asked, "Are you here?"
"Just got out of the airport." Eric said, "How about I pick you up on the way or do you want to go by yourself?"
An Ci threw the turban over his shoulder and shuffled towards the cloakroom. "I can't go over there right now. Grandpa wants to see me."
Eric blurted out, "Are you in trouble again?"
An Ci laughed angrily, "Can't you just hope for something good from me?"
"You've already finished your exams, what else could grandpa want from you?" Eric asked puzzledly.
"Who knows." An Ci glanced at the clothes in the cloakroom and quickly made a decision. He casually picked up a black T-shirt and jeans, and picked up a white jacket before leaving.
"Then I'll go to the manor to find you." Eric was really curious, so he quickly said this and hung up the phone.
An Ci was used to it. She threw her phone on the cabinet, took out a hair dryer and quickly blew her hair. She didn't care about the hairstyle at all.
Then, she changed her clothes swiftly. Before putting on a black T-shirt, she had to put on a special chest-wrapped vest to avoid being noticed.
After a while, she left the room neatly dressed and kept staring at her phone as she walked down the stairs.
Aunt Hong saw this and couldn't help but mutter, "Don't stare at your phone when you go downstairs, or you might fall."
An Ci agreed, but his eyes never left his phone.
Aunt Hong said helplessly, "Don't delay, the head of the family is calling again to urge us."
Hearing this, An Ci looked up at her, a little surprised, "Is there a distinguished guest coming?"
What could be so urgent that he had to call to ask for help?
Aunt Hong said, "I haven't heard of it."
An Ci was puzzled and quickened her pace as she walked into the dining room. She was afraid that An Zhenxiong would get impatient and send someone to arrest her. An Ci did not dare to delay and wolfed down a sandwich, then went out with a carton of milk in her mouth.
