Chapter 193 It’s Not You Who Came

An Ci looked straight ahead and said lightly, "Hmm," "You're mistaken."

Eric choked, "..."

Well, Shen Mo, you'd better just wish you good luck.

The blue sports car showed no intention of stopping. It whizzed past him and sped away.

Shen Mo narrowed his dark eyes slightly, dusted off the ash from his cigarette, and turned to get in the car.

In the dark night, two sports cars were chasing each other on the wide road, one blue and one black, with the speeds being almost the same.

At this moment, Eric extremely regretted getting into An Ci's car. He glanced outside and saw that the black sports car was catching up with him again.

The car window was open.

Shen Mo sat in the driver's seat, controlling the steering wheel with one hand. The lines of his profile were sharp, even colder than the pitch-black night.

Eric was in a dilemma. Both of them were big shots and he couldn't afford to offend either of them.

He retracted his gaze, turned to look at An Ci, and said bitterly, "Xiao Ci, I haven't married yet. I don't want to die young, so you take it easy."

An Ci glanced at the black sports car driving alongside her and narrowed her eyes unhappily.

You like to follow me, right?

She said to Eric, "Just sit tight."

"What?"

Eric was completely bewildered. The next second, An Ci suddenly sped up, almost pressing the accelerator to the bottom.

For a moment, Eric felt like he was about to be thrown out. He held his breath and said, "Xiao Ci, you're crazy. Are you driving so fast in a hurry to be reincarnated?"

She doesn't want to live, and he doesn't want to die yet.

"Stop now, or I'll call Grandpa."

An Ci refused to listen and said to him, "Just bear with the grievance."

“…”

The corner of Eric's mouth twitched fiercely. Whoever wanted to endure this grievance could do so, but he wouldn't.

"No, I'm going to throw up. If you don't let me down, I'm going to throw up in your car."

An Ci said, "Then vomit."

Eric was going crazy and had no choice but to use his trump card, "If you don't stop, I will tell Grandpa that you are speeding. Be careful, Grandpa will put you in solitary confinement and confiscate your sports car."

It was no use. When An Ci got stubborn, even ten oxen couldn't pull him back.

Eric was tired and just gave up, leaning back in despair.

He glanced at the car mirror inadvertently, and the scene he saw made him burst into swearing.

"Fuck, they're all crazy."

Sure enough, there are two kinds of people sleeping in the same bed.

If one is crazy, the other will be crazier.

A black sports car was catching up at lightning speed. Shen Mo stepped on the accelerator to the bottom. Just as he was about to overtake An Ci's car, he inexplicably slowed down.

Gradually, even the shadow of his car could not be seen.

Eric breathed a sigh of relief, feeling like he had come back from the brink of death.

He looked at the person next to him and advised, "Xiao Ci, Shen Mo didn't catch up, so don't drive fast, it's too dangerous."

An Ci slowed down the car, his brows slightly furrowed, as if thinking about something.

Suddenly, she had a flash of inspiration, "No."

Eric wondered, "What's wrong?"

An Ci didn't explain, turned the steering wheel and turned back.

However, when she returned, the black sports car had disappeared.

An Ci frowned and immediately said to Eric, "Call him."

Eric feigned confusion, "How would I know his phone number?"

"Stop pretending." An Ci glanced at him dimly, "Do you think I don't know who sent you back to the manor last night?"

Eric looked surprised, "How did you know?"

"Da Li saw it," An Ci urged, "Hurry up."

Eric laughed guiltily and took out his cell phone to call Shen Mo.

The call went through, but no one answered.

Eric hung up, then tried again, but still no one answered.

Now, even Eric noticed something was wrong, "Could something have happened to Shen Mo?"

An Ci said nothing, started the car and returned the same way, and finally found Shen Mo's car on the side of the road.

Strangely, there was no one in the car.

Eric walked around the car, looking back and forth. His sharp eyes spotted bullet holes of varying depths on the body and rear of the car. "Xiao Ci, look at this."

An Ci walked over and glanced at the place Eric pointed. When she saw the bullet mark on it, her eyes turned cold.

Her intuition told her that Shen Mo must be in danger.

An Ci turned his head to look at the grove nearby and said to Eric, "Cousin, go back to the car and wait for me."

Before she finished speaking, she had already walked towards the grove. Eric was stunned for a moment, then he caught up with her and grabbed her arm, "Where are you going?"

An Ci said, "I'll go in and take a look."

Eric disagreed, "No, it's so dark, what if you go in alone and get into danger?"

"Don't worry, I know my limits."

Unable to persuade her, Eric had no choice but to say, "Then I'll go in with you."

Worried that Shen Mo might get into trouble inside, An Ci nodded and said, "Let's go."

Without the street lights, the grove was pitch black, the wind blew the leaves, and it was eerie.

The two of them held up their cell phones for lighting. An Ci looked around and paused.

Eric looked at her questioningly, "What's wrong?"

An Ci hissed, "Listen."

Eric frowned, concentrating his attention and looking around. He could faintly hear the sound of fighting.

He said in a serious tone, "Someone."

An Ci nodded, and the next second he pulled him straight to the source of the sound.

"Bang--"

It was gunfire.

Eric pulled An Ci and persuaded him, "Xiao Ci, wait a moment and see what happens."

"You wait here, I'll go take a look first." An Ci broke free from his hand and rushed out before he could react.
