An Ci carefully laid him down and turned to look for the medicine box.
After all the blood-stained bandages were removed, the stitched yet torn wound came into An Ci's sight.
It's... a gunshot wound.
An Ci lowered his eyelids and looked at the wounds on his body. He couldn't imagine how he had survived these past few years.
She took a deep breath, suppressed the myriad thoughts in her mind, and concentrated on helping him treat his wounds.
…
After returning from An Zhenxiong's place, Eric went upstairs and saw Dali standing in the corridor.
He walked over and asked in confusion, "What are you doing standing here?"
Dali said sparingly, "Watch it."
What to guard?
A hint of doubt appeared in Eric's eyes. Noticing that An Ci's door was closed, he asked, "Is Xiao Ci in there?"
Nod vigorously.
Eric walked past him and was about to knock on the door when he was stopped by Dali.
Eric looked at him with an expression that said, "Why are you stopping me?" Dali said expressionlessly, "The young master is busy."
Hearing this, Eric's curiosity was instantly piqued. "What is she busy with?"
"have no idea."
Eric rolled his eyes at him and said, "Go wherever it's cooler." Then he pushed him away and went to open the door.
He refused to let him in, his back pressed against the door, blocking him with his entire body. "You cannot enter without the Young Master's permission."
The more he acted like this, the more curious Eric became, but he also knew that in terms of fighting strength, he would not be able to use force, and he was no match for Dali.
So, he decided to change his strategy and asked tentatively, "Is Xiao Ci alone in there?"
Dali kept silent.
Eric touched his chin. If he didn't answer, he would definitely not be alone.
Could it be...
Shen Mo is in there too?
Eric's face changed. Could these two be fighting?
He raised his eyes to look at the closed door and shouted, "Xiao Ci, if you have something to say, let's talk it out nicely. A gentleman takes action. Ugh, I mean, use words, not fists."
Dali looked at him strangely.
At this moment, the door opened and two pairs of eyes looked over at the same time.
Eric looked her over, making sure she was okay, then looked past her and inside, "Where's Shen Mo?"
An Ci rolled up his sleeves on both sides, revealing a slender wrist covered with a layer of water droplets. "He fainted."
Eric was stunned and blurted out, "Did you knock him out?"
If it was Xiao Ci, there was a high possibility that Shen Mo would not fight back.
An Ci looked at him as if he were a fool, walked out of the room and closed the door.
Then she walked towards the stairs.
"What's going on?" Eric caught up with her and walked side by side with her.
An Ci said perfunctorily, "Excessive blood loss."
When Eric heard this, he thought of the deep cut on Shen Mo's hand that was so deep that the bone could be seen, and he didn't doubt it.
"Should I call a doctor?"
"No, I gave him medicine."
"You won't eat dead people, will you?"
An Ci glanced at him sideways and said sinisterly, "Yes, call an ambulance and send him to have his stomach washed."
Eric laughed awkwardly, "I was just joking."
After a pause, he looked at her with a hint of mockery in his eyes, "Didn't you ignore him? What does it have to do with you whether he's dizzy or not?"
See, see, I am just hard on the outside but soft on the inside.
An Ci's ears burned, and he pretended to be fierce and said, "Is it not okay for me to do a good deed every day and stand up for what is right?"
It was a rare opportunity to tease her, so Eric naturally wouldn't let it go easily. "Whatever you say is fine, it's your room, not mine."
An Ci raised his fist and hit him, "Get lost."
Eric dodged with a playful smile, "Why don't you be kind to me and give me eighteen million to spend."
An Ci laughed, "Go away and take a rest."
Aunt Hong came out of the dining room and said with a gentle smile, "Stop chatting and eat quickly."
Walking into the dining room, An Ci suddenly thought of something. She pulled out a chair and said, "Auntie Hong, please ask the kitchen to make some porridge for me later."
Aunt Hong was puzzled. "Do you want to eat porridge?"
An Ci saw Eric's mischievous smile out of the corner of his eye, and a hint of embarrassment flashed in his eyes.
"Auntie Hong, she is..."
As soon as Eric opened his mouth, he was glared at by someone beside him, with a warning tone.
Eric decided to quit while he was ahead and changed the subject, "She wants to save it for a midnight snack."
Aunt Hong went out for something in the afternoon and just came back, so naturally she didn't know that An Ci brought Shen Mo in.
An Ci nodded, his face calm and his heart steady as he said, "There are a lot of documents to review at the casino, so I'll probably be up very late. I'll make some midnight snacks so you don't have to get up in the middle of the night to make them. Porridge is easier, just heat it up and you're good to go."
Aunt Hong believed it without thinking too much, "Okay, I'll make you some porridge later."
An Ci raised the corner of his lips, "Thank you for your hard work, Aunt Hong."
Aunt Hong smiled and said, "What's so hard about this?"
After dinner, Eric received a call from Leir, saying that they were going to a bar party and asked him and An Ci if they wanted to go.
Under normal circumstances, An Ci would have agreed, but Shen Mo was still here, so how could she dare to leave at will?
