Chapter 31 Don't be upset

The study was silent.

An Zhenxiong's expression was unpredictable. The second and third elders did not dare to speak casually and could only concentrate on drinking tea.

"Grandpa."

The voice came before the person arrived, and it was so soft and sweet that An Zhenxiong's heart softened and his serious expression almost broke.

He pressed the corners of his mouth and was about to speak when he saw his little grandson running towards him. He rushed into his arms like a little tiger, and the flowers in his hand almost hit his face. Then he heard her say, "Grandpa, the elder is so pitiful. Let's go see him."

An Zhenxiong, "..."

Second Elder, “…”

The third elder: "..."

Before she came, An Zhenxiong had made up his mind not to be soft-hearted this time, but he didn't expect the kid to admit his mistake so quickly and so sincerely. The long speech that was on the tip of his tongue was stuck in his throat, unable to be finished.

It was like a punch on cotton, so weak.

But when he thought of the Great Elder who had fainted in the hospital due to anger, he felt that he could do it again. He tried to keep a straight face and said in a serious tone, "Xiao Ci, Grandpa wants to ask you, wasn't the Great Elder teaching you a lesson? Why did he suddenly faint?"

"Xiao Ci doesn't know either." An Ci shook his head, his clear eyes filled with confusion. "Grandpa, do you think the Great Elder didn't have breakfast and fainted from hunger?"

Fortunately, the Great Elder was not here, otherwise he would have jumped up from the hospital bed and beaten her with a stick after hearing what she said.

Did he faint from hunger?

Is he?

An Zhenxiong laughed angrily, then felt something was wrong. He quickly put on a serious expression and asked, "Did you say anything to the Great Elder when he was teaching you?"

An Ci blinked, his expression as innocent as it could be, and evaded the main point by saying, "No, the Great Elder asked me to recite a poem, and I did. He even laughed. Then he asked me to recite the Three Character Classic, and I did that, too."

After hearing this, the second and third elders didn't think there was anything wrong. They would never have thought that the problem lay here.

In their opinion, An Ci was already three years old, and memorizing poems and the Three Character Classic were very simple things for him.

The third elder asked, "And then?"

An Ci said, "Then the Great Elder fainted."

An Zhenxiong frowned and looked at his little grandson's confused face. He always felt that something was wrong, but he didn't say it.

Before he could figure it out, the little grandson in his arms pulled his sleeve and said, "Grandpa, let's go see the Great Elder. Xiao Ci wants to give him flowers and ask him to get better soon."

An Zhenxiong glanced at the flowers in her hand. They were still covered with water droplets, and it was obvious that they had just been picked.

"It's rare that you have such a heart." He pinched her face, "Okay, let's go and visit the Great Elder together."

An Ci nodded with a smile.

It was a close call. I escaped.

The second elder was busy with other things, so only the third elder followed the grandfather and grandson to the hospital.

In a top private hospital.

With a "ding" sound, the elevator stopped on the fifteenth floor.

The elevator door opened, and An Zhenxiong walked out holding An Ci, followed closely by the third elder and Zuo Fei.

After finding the ward where the Great Elder was, An Ci struggled to get out of An Zhenxiong's arms, "Grandpa, I want to get down."

"Be good." An Zhenxiong warned her, then bent down and put her down.

An Ci walked in holding the flowers she picked, not shy or reserved at all.

"Great Elder, I'm here to see you."

Inside, the Great Elder had just woken up. He was leaning back on the bed, receiving an IV drip with a tube in his hand.

When he heard An Ci's voice, he thought he was hallucinating, but he didn't expect An Ci to run in the next second with a bright smile.

The Great Elder was surprised. "Young Master, why are you here?"

"I came to see you." An Ci ran to the bedside, holding the flowers in both hands and handed them to him, his voice soft and sweet, "Great Elder, I picked these at the manor. You must get better soon."

The Great Elder was stunned, glanced at the flowers she handed him, and met her smiling peach blossom eyes. Even if he was very angry, he could not get angry anymore.

Although the young master is a little naughty, he has a good heart. When people come to visit him, they will bring him flowers. He is quite sensible.

The Great Elder smiled and reached out to touch her head, "Young Master, you are so thoughtful."

An Ci breathed a sigh of relief, and An Zhenxiong and others came over.

"Head of the family."

An Zhenxiong looked at him, "Great Elder, are you okay?"

The Great Elder smiled and said, "It's okay. I can't refuse to admit my age now."

While they were chatting and no one noticed her, An Ci quietly moved towards the door, turned around and slipped out.

Unexpectedly, Zuo Fei was standing outside the door.

He asked, "Young Master, where are you going?"

An Ci laughed dryly, "I'm going downstairs to buy some drinks."

Zuo Fei said, "What do you want to drink? I'll go buy it. You can go in."

"Then I'll go with you." An Ci raised his hand and grabbed the hem of his clothes. "Uncle Zuo Fei, please, take me with you."

Zuo Fei was overwhelmed. "Then I'll go ask the head of the family for instructions."

"No need to ask for permission. Grandpa and the others are chatting. Let's not disturb them." After saying that, An Ci pulled him away.

After he finishes asking for instructions, she won't be able to leave.

Unable to persuade her, Zuo Fei had to follow her and took out his cell phone to send a message to An Zhenxiong.

The vending machine was on the 13th floor. An Ci came out of the elevator and suddenly thought of something. He looked up at Zuo Fei and said, "Uncle Zuo Fei, do you have any change?"

Zuo Fei was stunned for a moment, "No."

He usually pays by credit card when he goes out, but he leaves his wallet in the car.

An Ci looked disappointed, "What should we do then?"

Zuo Fei suggested, "How about I take you upstairs, then I'll go back to the car to get my wallet and come back to buy it for you?"

"This is too slow. If grandpa finds out, he will definitely not let me buy it. You go get your wallet and I'll go up by myself." An Ci's eyes turned, and a cunning light flashed in his eyes.

"It's settled. Thank you, Uncle Zuo Fei. I'll go back upstairs now."

As she said that, she turned around and ran back to the elevator. Zuo Fei couldn't do anything about her, so he helped her press the button for the 15th floor.

Seeing the number on the control panel stop at the fifteenth floor, Zuo Fei turned and left.

But he never expected that after An Ci came out of the elevator, he not only did not return to the ward, but also strolled down the stairwell.

Back on the 13th floor, An Ci stood in front of the vending machine for a while, then walked back and forth in the corridor bored.

Passing by a ward, the door was not closed, and she glanced inside casually.

It would have been fine if she hadn't looked, but when she did, she was shocked.

I saw a young boy leaning against the window. He was wearing a loose hospital gown, which made him look even thinner. The sunlight hit his face, and his pale eyebrows and eyes could not hide his innate delicacy. He was shrouded in an inexplicable low pressure.

At this moment, half of his body was hanging in the air, with his eyes closed, as if he was about to jump down in the next second.

"Hey, don't be upset."
