Shen Mo lowered his eyes and said in a muffled voice, "It's okay, I still have homework to do, I'll go back first."
After saying that, he stood up and left.
An Ci was a little confused. When she came to her senses, Shen Mo had already walked out of the room.
Does he have any homework to do?
That’s not right. Didn’t Song Yuan say that Shen Mo had finished all his homework?
An Ci scratched his head, thinking seriously whether he had done anything to upset him.
When Shen Mo found out that An Ci didn't come out to look for him, a trace of loneliness flashed in his eyes, and he felt even more that he was not important in An Ci's heart.
He quickened his pace and went downstairs.
In the living room, An Lan didn't have to go to the company today, so she was sitting on the sofa reading a book.
Hearing footsteps, she looked up and saw Shen Mo coming down the stairs alone. She looked puzzled, "Xiao Mo, why did you come down alone?"
"Aunt Lan, I have something to do, so I have to go back early." Shen Mo's voice was as emotionless as usual, but An Lan could still see that something was wrong with him.
However, before she could ask, Shen Mo had already opened the door and left in a hurry.
An Lan looked worried. Did he have a fight with Zizi?
She put down her book and prepared to go upstairs to ask An Ci, but she saw her son running downstairs in a hurry, "Mom, where's brother?"
An Lan was terrified, afraid that she would fall, and hurriedly said, "Be careful, your ankle is fine, don't twist it again."
An Ci looked around, "Where's my brother?"
"Xiao Mo said he had something to do and went back first." An Lan walked over, squatted in front of her, and asked softly, "Did you have a fight?"
"No." An Ci shook his head, "I don't know what's wrong with him, but I think he seems angry."
Although she didn't have much contact with Shen Mo, An Lan knew that he was not a child who was making trouble for no reason, and something must have happened upstairs.
She asked, "Xiao Mo went upstairs to look for you just now. Did you say anything to him?"
An Ci said, "I didn't say anything. I was competing with Anyang, and my brother helped me play the game and won 500 yuan."
"Then what?" An Lan continued to ask.
"Then Anyang called me, and my brother asked me if my relationship with Anyang was good. I said we were fine, and then he said he had to go back to do his homework." An Ci said as he recalled.
"But my cousin told me that my brother has finished all his homework."
After listening to this, An Lan thought for a while, and suddenly understood something. She smiled and said, "Baby, Xiao Mo is jealous."
An Ci was stunned, "Huh?"
An Lan explained gently, "Zizi, think about it. Xiao Mo's parents are dead, and he has no friends around him. He only plays with you and regards you as his only friend. So when he heard you say that you have a good relationship with Anyang, he probably thought that your relationship with Anyang is better than your relationship with him."
An Ci suddenly realized something, a smile in her eyes, and she ran towards the door, "Mom, I'm going to Villa No. 3."
Without changing into her pajamas, she opened the door and ran out in her slippers.
"Wait, come back and put on your coat." An Lan reacted and reached out to grab her back but was a step too slow.
In a flash, the man had already run some distance.
An Lan smiled helplessly and planned to bring her the coat later.
The doorbell was too high for An Ci to press, so he could only knock on the door.
"Uncle Che."
After a while, Shi Che opened the door for her.
Seeing her coming over in her pajamas, Shi Che quickly reached out and slid her in. "It's so cold outside, why don't you wear a coat?"
The air in the room was filled with the rich aroma of coffee beans. An Ci looked around the living room and asked, "Uncle Che, where's my brother?"
"You mean Xiao Mo? He's upstairs." Shi Che closed the door and suddenly thought of something. "Oh, didn't he just go look for you? Why is he back again? Did you two have a conflict?"
"No." An Ci said, "I'll go up to find him."
She ran upstairs familiarly and went straight to Shen Mo's room. His door was ajar and opened with a gentle push.
"Brother." She leaned in and her eyes fell on the young man sitting on the sofa. She curled her lips and said, "Can I come in?"
Seeing her coming, a light flashed in Shen Mo's eyes, but quickly dimmed.
He hummed lightly.
An Ci pushed the door open, walked in swaggeringly, and approached Shen Mo, "Are you still angry?"
She ran all the way here, carrying the cold air from outside on her body. Shen Mo looked at her little face that was frozen pale, and finally couldn't bear it.
He put down the programming book in his hand, picked up the down jacket beside him and put it on her, without saying a word the whole time.
An Ci cooperated by raising his little arms, his eyes curved with a smile, "I think our relationship is better and stronger."
The sudden words startled Shen Mo. He raised his eyes to look at her, as if he was surprised, but also with a bit of expectation, "How good is it?"
Meeting his dark yet bright eyes, An Ci blurted out, "The best in the world."
