Xie Xin was so angry that he was shaking all over and wanted to cut A Xiu into pieces.
She felt sorry for her for losing her parents, so she took her in for a while. She never thought that she would end up letting a wolf into the house.
"We can't let her go. We absolutely can't let her off easily." She muttered through gritted teeth.
"I, the head of the family, will definitely not let her go." An Zhenxiong leaned back in his chair, his expression indifferent, "The same goes for An Rui."
As soon as these words came out, the Second Elder knew that there was no room for negotiation, and he could not say a word of pleading. After all, murdering the young master was no small matter.
"Master, Xiaowen is still young, and there is also my father..." Xie Xin thought that An Zhenxiong would kill him, so he spoke hurriedly.
"Let An Rui take responsibility for the mistakes he made." An Zhenxiong interrupted her. He raised his hand and Zuo Fei came over with a document.
Then, put it in front of Xie Xin.
An Zhenxiong continued, "This is an equity transfer. All of An Rui's assets have been transferred to you and your son. Jianwen can continue to attend classes here. Everything will remain the same."
Hearing this, the second elder was stunned for a moment. Then he stood up and bowed deeply to An Zhenxiong.
He knew that the master of the house was showing mercy because of him.
Xie Xin also understood what was going on and thanked him repeatedly.
"Don't thank me, thank Xiaoci if you want to thank someone," An Zhenxiong said. "It's rare for her to have a friend here. Jianwen is a good kid."
The second elder was surprised. When did Jianwen start playing with the young master?
Xie Xin was silent for a moment, then said, "Master, can you please let me meet An Rui?"
An Zhenxiong nodded and glanced at Zuo Fei.
Coming out of the study, Xie Xin's head was in a mess. She walked down the stairs holding the handrail, looking dazed.
"Xie Xin..." The second elder opened his mouth several times to comfort her, but he didn't know what to say.
After enduring it again and again, the Second Elder was so angry that he could not bear it any longer: "An Rui is a beast, I really misjudged him."
A good family is broken up just like that.
Suddenly, a hand reached out and grabbed him, "Dad, don't tell Jianwen about this for now."
Xie Xin was exhausted, as if he had lost his soul. "One more thing. Please ask the head of the family to spare his life."
An Rui felt sorry for her, but he was her son's father after all, and she couldn't just watch him die.
The Second Elder sighed, "Why are you still thinking about him now?"
Xie Xin smiled bitterly and said nothing.
…
An Ci didn't ask what happened to An Rui and A Xiu. She thought it wouldn't be any better.
After being forced to rest in the room for three days, An Ci was almost bored to death. While Aunt Hong was not paying attention, she sneaked out with Fugui.
When they arrived at the blue castle, An Yiyao told her that An Jianwen did not come to class today.
"Did he ask for leave?" An Ci asked.
An Yiyao shook his head.
If I don’t ask for leave, doesn’t that mean I’m skipping classes?
An Ci asked again, "Then where did he go?"
"He should be in his room." After a pause, An Yiyao lowered his voice, "He's not in a good mood right now. You should go see him another day."
An Ci could vaguely guess the reason. She looked up and asked him, "Why are you in a bad mood?"
An Yiyao looked around, bent down and whispered in her ear, "I heard that his father committed some crime and was arrested by the head of the family."
"I don't know exactly what's going on, but he's definitely in a bad mood right now. You'd better not go to him and get into trouble. I have to go back to class, so I'm leaving now."
An Ci stood still, watching him walk into the classroom, her peach blossom eyes slightly narrowed.
Even An Yiyao knew about it. An Rui's affairs must have spread throughout the An family. An Jianwen, such a sensitive and delicate child, must be feeling bad now.
"Fugui, let's go."
Before going to find An Jianwen, An Ci went back and got some things to put in the vegetable garden.
"Knock, knock, knock."
"Brother Wen, Brother Wen, open the door." An Ci knocked on the door.
After waiting for a long time, the person inside opened the door.
Their eyes met.
An Jianwen turned his head away first, his voice a little hoarse, "Why are you here?"
"I came to see you." An Ci saw his red eyes and didn't ask him why he didn't go to class. He just asked him, "Have you eaten?"
An Jianwen said "hmm".
He said he had eaten, but An Ci knew he definitely hadn't. She reached out and grabbed him, "Let's go."
"Where are you going?" An Jianwen was stunned.
"You'll know when you get there." An Ci smiled mysteriously and pulled him out.
An Jianwen followed her passively, looking confused the whole time.
After walking for a while, An Jianwen realized belatedly that he had not changed his shoes and came out in a pair of slippers.
He looked at the child walking in front of him and said, "Xiao Ci, where are you taking me?"
"We're here." An Ci let go of his hand.
An Jianwen raised his eyes and looked at the vegetable garden in front of him, stunned.
"What did you bring me here for?"
"Roasted sweet potatoes." An Ci smiled with his white teeth bared.
