Chapter 69 Are You Dreaming?

Thinking of the jewel bracelet still in her room, An Ci felt a little overwhelmed.

She wanted to return it, but Shen Mo refused to accept it. She offered him money, but he refused to take it either. Finally, he stuffed the bracelet into the drawer of her bedside table and refused to let her return it.

Half an hour later, we arrived at the pharmacy.

As soon as he got off the car, Eric looked around. Although he had been to the capital several times before, he had never been out walking on the streets. Looking at the bustling streets around him that were completely different from those in Country Y, his eyes were full of novelty.

Old Madam Song looked at the three children and warned them, "Don't run around."

The three children nodded.

This old drugstore has been open for some time and is very famous in the imperial capital, especially the old Chinese doctor there. It is said that he has superb medical skills, and anyone who wants to see him for a consultation must make an appointment first.

The pharmacy is very large, with three floors, and the old Chinese doctor is treating patients upstairs.

Mrs. Song had made an appointment before coming, and when she saw her coming, someone came to greet her immediately.

It was a young man, "Madam Song, please go upstairs."

Madam Song nodded, and An Ci quickly said, "Grandma, please go upstairs. We'll wait for you downstairs."

"Don't run around. If you have any problems, go to the third floor to find grandma." After giving the instructions, Mrs. Song told the accompanying bodyguards to keep an eye on the three children, and then turned and went upstairs.

After she went upstairs, An Ci took out a folded piece of letter paper from his pocket and walked quickly to the medicine counter.

"Hello, I want to buy some medicine."

Shen Mo followed behind her. When he heard her words, he glanced at the letter in her hand, and a hint of doubt appeared in his eyes.

The middle-aged man standing at the counter and responsible for dispensing medicine had a simple and honest face and a kind smile.

Recognizing that the child in front of him came with the old lady of the Song family, the middle-aged man spoke in a much gentler tone, "Young Master, what medicine do you want to buy?"

"Here's the prescription, just follow the instructions." An Ci was short and had to stand on tiptoe to hand over the letter in his hand.

The man reached out to take the letter and opened it. The faint scent of ink drifted into his nose. Looking at the beautiful and elegant calligraphy on the letter, the man's eyes lit up.

This is really well written.

After sighing in his heart, the man looked at the contents written on the paper. The dosage of various medicinal materials was written in detail, and at the bottom was a detailed process of how to make the medicinal materials into ointment.

However, there are some herbs in this prescription that are used in a very tricky way. He has seen so many prescriptions but has never seen them used in this way.

He looked down at An Ci and asked curiously, "Young Master, excuse me, who wrote this prescription for you?"

"My uncle." An Ci evaded the question, "Can you help me make the ointment as soon as possible? I need it urgently."

She checked and found that the pharmacy had all kinds of equipment for making medicinal materials, so making an ointment should not be a problem.

The man said, "This ointment doesn't take long to make. The earliest I can give it to you is tomorrow."

"Tomorrow is fine too." An Ci said, "How much is it? I'll give it to you first."

Before he finished speaking, the person behind him took out a card and handed it to the man.

“Swipe the card.”

"Wait." An Ci took the card back, then took out a card from his pocket and handed it to the man, "Swipe this one."

Seeing the two children rushing to swipe their cards, the man smiled helplessly and sighed in his heart, they are indeed children from rich families, they just swipe their cards when they go out.

He took the card and went to pay.

Shen Mo lowered his eyes to look at An Ci, "Baby, you..."

"This ointment is for you, so I have to pay for it myself." An Ci interrupted him and put the card back into his pocket.

Shen Mo was stunned. "For me?"

An Ci nodded and explained, "Apply the ointment so your wound won't leave a scar."

Hearing this, Shen Mo raised the corner of his lips, "It doesn't matter if there are scars."

He is a boy, so it’s no big deal if he has a scar.

An Ci glanced at his injured hand and said seriously, "No."

He was injured because of her, and she is responsible for this scar.

The man came over and interrupted, "Young Master, please come over and enter the password."

An Ci went over to punch in the password, and Eric ran over, "Xiao Ci, do you want some candied haws?"

After paying, An Ci took back the card and receipt and put them in his pocket.

Hearing Eric's words, she raised her head, met his shining eyes, and pulled her lips.

She thought he wanted to eat it himself.

"Eat, where?"

Eric said, "There's someone selling it at the door. Come on, I'll take you there."

An Ci and Shen Mo looked at each other and followed him out.

The bodyguards followed closely behind.

When I came out of the drugstore, I looked up and saw a man standing next to a shabby motorcycle, holding a straw target with one hand. The target was full of strings of red candied haws, which looked very attractive.

"Selling candied haws, five dollars a string. Selling candied haws, five dollars a string..." the man shouted with all his might.

Eric had seen candied haws but had never eaten them. His mother said they were junk food and never let him eat them.

It was rare that no one was paying attention to him now, so he ran forward excitedly, "Give me ten skewers."

An Ci walked over and heard his heroic words, and the corner of his mouth twitched.

Ten skewers, can he finish them?

Thinking that Shen Mo probably hadn't eaten it before, she looked at him sideways, "Brother, do you want to eat?"

Shen Mo shook his head. He didn't like sweet food very much.

While the two were talking, Eric had already finished showing off half a string of candied haws. He turned back to look at An Ci, then glanced at Shen Mo, and said awkwardly, "Well, if you call me brother, I might consider giving you a string."

Shen Mo, "..."

Anci, "..."

Shen Mo glanced at him with a look of slight disdain, "You are dreaming."

An Ci chuckled.

It was a rare occasion for Eric to show kindness to someone, but in return the other person said, "You're dreaming." He couldn't help but get angry and took back the candied haws he had handed over.

"I won't give you any food even if you want it."

As he said that, he stuffed another bunch of noodles into An Ci's mouth and said, "Xiao Ci, eat it yourself. Don't give it to him."

Shen Mo didn't care. He had no interest in these sweet things.

An Ci smiled with her eyebrows curved, and brought the candied haws to her lips. The next second, her expression changed.

She threw away the candied haws in her hand, then reached out and knocked the candied haws out of Eric's hand, "Stop eating it, spit out the candied haws in your mouth."

Thousands of little ones
