"Pei Xingyue, you have no idea about your own popularity."
He's talking about me, right?
Is my internet connection too slow? I don't think I'm that famous.
Not knowing how to refute, Pei Xingyue simply shut up and let Jiang Ye lead the way.
Walking on the dimly lit, deserted street, she inexplicably felt a sense of peace.
Why isn't she afraid? Is Jiang Ye so secure?
There was no conversation along the way, and Jiang Ye took her to a noodle shop.
Pei Xingyue looked up and was moved when she saw the familiar plaque.
"This is where you wanted to bring me, right? Do you remember?"
"Remember, everything about you, I've never forgotten it."
As the two were talking, the door of the shop was pushed open from the inside.
A middle-aged woman in an apron came out with a basin of hot water for washing, and seemed to be pouring it into the sewer beside her.
As soon as she went out, she saw two people standing at the door.
Subconsciously raised a smile.
"Would you two like to eat noodles?"
"Aunt Xia, I caught up with my senior.
Look, I brought her here to have a meal."
Pei Xingyue also took off the hood of her sweatshirt and smiled at the woman.
"Long time no see, Aunt Xia, how are you and Uncle De?"
The woman standing at the door was stunned for a moment, then put the basin aside.
He quickly turned around and went into the house.
From a distance, the woman's anxious voice came through the unclosed glass door.
“Old man, don’t turn off the fire, Xiaoye and Xingyue are here to eat.
Please don't turn it off!"
Hearing the sound, Pei Xingyue poked Jiang Ye.
"You seem to be preventing them from closing the door, Xiao Jiang."
"It's okay, I'll give you some extra money. I want to eat this tonight."
