"Dad, today is a rare day, and we're all gathered together. Shouldn't we clarify some things in advance?"
"You are not young anymore. If something happens, we youngsters won't be in such a hurry."
The harmonious banquet suddenly fell silent.
Mr. Si was mentally prepared and didn't react much.
Si Youen slammed the table angrily: "Old Four, watch your words and actions."
Si Youde was not afraid of him. He glanced at him coldly and said, "Brother, don't slam the table at me. I'm timid and can't stand being scared."
"I'm telling the truth. Our Si family is huge, with so many people under our wing. If we don't make arrangements properly, what will happen if something goes wrong? Will everyone be left to starve?"
"You are aloof and capable, but you are hypocritically generous. You give away your own things for free to others."
"I can't do that. I have a family with old people and young children. I have to survive."
"Dad, isn't that right?"
"Although you value my second brother, this is a new society. We no longer distinguish between legitimate and illegitimate children. We should treat everyone equally."
"We are all sons. You have to consider us more."
Si Youwei lowered his eyes, as if it had nothing to do with him.
Si Youde often used these words to point at him, always feeling that the old man valued him because of the difference between legitimate and illegitimate children.
I don’t think so at all. It’s because I’m too incompetent that I’m not valued.
He really didn't care about the Si family's things. He would just do whatever the old man arranged. Si Youde's words had no effect on him at all.
The three brothers Si Cheng, Si Ye and Siming are even more so. They all have their own careers and hobbies, and the Si family business is a burden to them.
Only a useless guy like Si Youde, who has accomplished nothing and only knows how to live off his parents, would care about him.
Mr. Si calmly raised his eyelids and asked, "How do you want to explain it clearly?"
Si Youde said with a grin, "Of course, the things in the house should be divided equally among us sons."
"Let's make it clear as soon as possible, so that we don't have to argue after you die, which will affect our brotherly relationship."
"Of course, it's okay if Big Brother doesn't like these. I do like them, and I don't recommend accepting them no matter how much effort you put in."
He spoke frankly, with a kind of arrogant confidence.
Mr. Si snorted, "The sons will share equally, but what about the daughters?"
Si Youde frowned and said, "A daughter who is married off is like spilled water. From ancient times to the present, it is not reasonable for a daughter to share the family property."
"Tsk, Third Brother is really calculating. Otherwise, Big Brother and Second Brother won't want them either. I'll give them all to you."
Si Youxi scoffed loudly.
Si Youde glanced at her sinisterly and said quietly, "Little sister, don't blame me for not reminding you. A woman's confidence in her husband's family comes from her brothers from her natal family. Although I haven't done anything great, I'm still your brother after all."
Dai Anji, the third boy of the Dai family, had the worst patience and said, "Uncle, my mother's confidence was given by the three of us brothers and my father."
Si Youde's face darkened: "You uneducated thing, you have no right to interrupt when the adults are talking."
"You are the uneducated one. Your father is still alive and you are still thinking about being your father. How dare you lecture others?"
Mr. Si snorted coldly: "My grandson is right. Youxi's confidence was given by me, her two brothers, and her husband and son. What does it have to do with you?"
"How dare you threaten me right in front of me? If I die, won't you go to heaven?"
Si Youde looked at the old man with resentment: "Dad really doesn't give me, his son, any face. He looks down on me as always."
"Let's stop talking nonsense, Dad. Just tell me whether to break up or not."
Mr. Si looked over calmly: "What if I say no?"
Si Youde curled his lips and sneered: "Then don't blame your son for being cruel."
The few men he brought with him immediately took action, opened the big iron gate outside the Si family, let in a large group of men in black, and surrounded everyone.
The crowd panicked for a moment, but seeing that the old man remained unmoved, they gradually calmed down.
Si Youwei stood beside the old man and looked at Si Youde with disdain: "Fourth brother, from childhood to adulthood, Dad has never owed you anything. He also knows the arrangements of the family."
"You did such a heinous thing, didn't you think about the consequences?"
"Don't try to steal a chicken and end up losing the rice. The loss will outweigh the gain."
Si Youde hated Si Youwei the most. He immediately widened his eyes and gritted his teeth, saying, "Stop making sarcastic remarks. You've got all the benefits, so of course you can speak in a high-sounding manner."
Si Youwei's expression and movements are exactly the same as the old man's. Among all the children, it's no wonder that the old man likes Si Youwei the most. It's really because he is the most like the old man.
He calmly raised his eyelids and said, "It's important for people to know themselves. I don't deny that I have the most resources in the family, but Fourth Brother, if these resources were in your hands, could you keep them?"
Si Youde was immediately enraged: "Si Youwei, who the hell do you think you are? How dare you look down on me?"
The so-called adopted daughter next to him saw him running away and hurriedly pulled his sleeve.
Si Youde paused and gradually calmed down.
"Okay, Dad, hurry up. I'm busy. I've got the lawyer and the seal and contract ready. Just sign it."
Mr. Si glanced at the crowd and asked, "Just relying on you and your people, are you sure I will surrender?"
"People, I have them too."
As soon as he finished speaking, another group of people appeared from all corners of the Si family mansion and surrounded Si Youde's men.
Si Youde's face looked ugly. He had fallen into a trap.
Mr. Si gestured to his men: "Show him everything."
A large stack of information was delivered to Si Youde, all of which were evidence of his mistakes.
