Chapter 53 Kumantong

In the semi-deserted slum shantytown, the low houses are like cold tombs, close together, one next to the other.

It's so crowded that it's hard to breathe.

The man in the cotton jacket stood at the entrance of the narrow alley, his brows furrowed.

The smells here were mixed and she wasn't sure which direction to chase.

The wind and rain grew stronger, making the asbestos tiles on the shantytowns crackle.

From time to time, there was a sound of collapse, showing how fragile things were under the strong wind and rain.

But even amidst such a loud collapse noise, no human voice was heard.

This place looks like a deserted dead village, full of gloom and chill.

Cotton-padded jacket frowned, picked a direction at random, and was about to rush in.

His shoulder was suddenly grabbed, and he turned around abruptly, and a small fist went straight to the heart of the person who came.

Siming was shocked and clenched his fist on the cotton-padded jacket, secretly saying that it was a close call, as he was almost sent away by the little girl.

"It's me."

Seeing that it was Siming, the red light in Mian'ao's eyes disappeared, and he grinned foolishly.

Siming couldn't laugh: "What are you doing here?"

"Looking for Youyou."

Siming's heart sank. Youyou was gone?

Siming was soaked, but his cotton jacket was not wet at all.

He stretched out his little paws and wanted to wipe Siming's wound.

Suddenly, a shrill scream was heard from deep inside the shanty.

The red light in Mian'ao's eyes brightened again, and he turned around and chased in.

Siming didn't bother to ask for help and followed closely behind Mian'ao.

The mixed shantytown is like a maze.

It was low, damp, dirty, and smelled of all sorts of bad things.

If Sima Ming had not used his spiritual power to track Mian'ao, he would have been unable to track her at all.

Deep inside the shanty, blood flowed slowly through the dark and narrow ground along with the rain.

Mixed with sewage, it disappeared.

But the strong smell of blood could not be dissipated.

When Mian'ao and Siming chased after them, they found that Mutong and Jintie were fighting with others, and there were many people lying on the ground.

Mian'ao tilted his head and sniffed around, looking for Si Youyou's trace, but did not join the battle.

Sima Ming swung out his scimitar and took down several people.

Asked Mu Tong and Jin Tie: "Why are you here?"

Mu Tong wiped the blood off his face and said, "We were looking for the whereabouts of the man in black robes and accidentally discovered that someone here was making Kumantong, so we prepared to destroy it."

Kumantong is a very ancient sorcery in Vietnam. It is an evil creature made by cutting out a newly formed baby from its mother's womb and using various cruel and evil methods to refine it.

It is a very evil thing.

Siming's expression changed as well. He had not expected that someone would do such an evil thing right under his nose.

"Eliminated?"

The two brothers shook their heads dejectedly.

"We discovered it too late. It had already formed. When we attacked, it attacked the refiner, controlled several puppets to restrain us, and then ran away."

Those besieging the two brothers and those lying on the ground were all puppets.

Their souls were devoured by the Kumantong and they became the living dead.

The refiner who was attacked by the backlash was lying on the side with blood coming out of all seven orifices, deader than dead.

Sima Ming frowned. Now that a troublemaker had escaped, Jinghai City would probably never have peace.

"Boss, why are you here?" Jin Tie asked.

Before Siming could speak, Mian'ao came over with a pout: "No Youyou, no delicious food."

Si Youyou's scent flashed by, and the man just passed by here without stopping.

Siming's heart sank, and he instructed Mu Tong and Jin Tie: "You two go inform the others, put aside everything that can be put aside, and focus on finding the Kumantong."

"Okay," the two brothers did not dare to delay and ran away in the heavy rain.

Siming grabbed the cotton jacket that was about to run after him and said, "Be obedient and go back first. I'll go find Youyou."

"No," Mian'ao pushed Siming away and ran away. Siming couldn't catch him at all.

I was so angry that I gritted my teeth, but I had to keep following.

In the small luggage bag, Si Youyou curled up tightly, holding the doll in her arms and shivering.

She didn't dare cry or make a sound.

This bad uncle is so fierce and will beat her.

She missed her parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts.

When will they come to rescue Youyou?

The little person bit his lips tightly and wiped away the tears with trembling hands.

The bad uncle was carrying her and running. She couldn't see anything, she could only feel the bumps and collisions.

It hurts so much, but I dare not scream.

She also listened to the sound of rain, which was so heavy that she was very scared.

She was afraid of thunder and rain and wanted her mother.

It was so dark around. I didn’t know where the bad uncle was taking her. Was he going to sell her?

Sold far away, I can never find my parents again, and I can never go home again.

As I thought about it, I couldn't control my tears any more and they started to fall.

But she still didn't dare to speak.

The doll in the arms seemed to sense the sadness and fear of its owner, and actually reached out and gently patted Si Youyou's little hand.

Si Youyou paused, thinking it was an illusion, but the doll patted her again.

She was not afraid, because the doll was her good friend and good friends would not hurt her. She was just surprised.

She rolled her eyes secretly, and when she saw that no one was peeping, she held the doll to her head and whispered, "Be good and don't move around, or the bad uncle will find out and hurt you."

The doll understood and actually imitated Si Youyou, nodding cautiously.

Si Youyou was very happy, her doll came alive.

With the doll's company, she was not afraid at all.

The man stopped and threw the luggage bag in his hand onto the ground.

Si Youyou bit her lips tightly in pain and tried to curl herself up tighter.
