Seeing that Su Che agreed, a sly smile appeared on Shen Zhiyi's pretty face. Then, she straightened her back with an air of pride and said with some boldness.
"So, starting today, Brother Su, I'll be your roommate!"
Seeing the mischievous smile on her face, Su Che knew he had probably been tricked. It was too late to back out now. After all, she had already said so much, how could he refuse her?
To be honest, Su Che couldn't quite explain his feelings. What man would really not want to share an apartment with a beautiful woman, especially one who had designs on him?
If he truly had that kind of integrity, he wouldn't even dream of such a thing. Men, after all, are all two-faced creatures.
So, Su Che was more than happy to share an apartment with a beautiful woman, even though it meant some financial hardship for him.
Feeling a bit thirsty, Su Che slowly walked to the water dispenser, picked up a disposable paper cup, filled it with water, drank it all in one gulp, and then said...
“I have no problem with you staying here, but I want to tell you in advance that the house I’m staying in is not like yours. It’s not only dirty and messy, but the environment is also terrible.”
"Sometimes even rats and cockroaches run around the house!"
Then Su Che walked to the worn-out little leather sofa and sat down, took off his shoes, and while changing into slippers, added, "Oh, right."

He said he was trying to persuade her with these words, but deep down he hoped that she would still choose to stay after hearing them, perhaps because of his own selfish motives.
After Su Che finished speaking, Shen Zhi chuckled without batting an eye, "It's alright, I'm not afraid of rats or cockroaches!"
Her voice was unusually resolute, as if she truly wasn't afraid of those things.
Su Che could tell at a glance whether she was forcing a smile or not; the smile on her face was nothing more than a cover for the fear in her heart.
Noise is manageable, but rats and cockroaches are something even some men are afraid of, let alone a young girl who hasn't experienced anything yet.
"I'm not kidding you anymore. I still have some money here. You should go and rent a nice place."
With his inner expectation fulfilled, whether it was true or not, he was at ease. Su Che waved his hand and said insincerely, "This lousy place of mine is not suitable for you to live in."
"No!"
Shen Zhi, seeing that Su Che had changed his mind and wanted to kick her out, pouted and frowned unhappily, saying, "You already promised me, why are you going back on your word?"
"And what's wrong with you? I think it's fine. Besides, if you can live here, why can't I?"
Su Che curled his lip in disdain and said, "What level do you have to compare with me?"
"I'm in Drive!"
Shen Zhiyi was not afraid at all. She stood tall and proud, looking at Su Che with an arrogant expression.
Seeing her head held high and chest out, Su Che didn't know how to reply. She really was in D gear and hadn't lied.
Moreover, since the two have already gone this far, playing hard to get would be going too far.
Su Che muttered under his breath, "I really don't know what you're after."
Although his voice wasn't loud, Shen Zhiyi heard him clearly and made no attempt to conceal his purpose.
"Of course I'm after you."
"I can't possibly be after you because you're old or because you don't shower."
"Nonsense!"
"Who's old? Who doesn't take a bath?"
"Then you can stay here. Be careful, or I might lose control one day and end up making a fortune off you for three years."
Su Che was just talking nonsense, but he didn't expect Shen Zhiyi to force him into doing it.
"ah?"
Are you serious?
"Then hurry up and come, as long as you think it's profitable."
Shen Zhiyi opened her arms wide and sat down next to Su Che, looking at him intently.
Su Che was immediately stunned, not expecting this little girl to be so direct.
"Do you know what you're saying?" Su Che immediately stood up and distanced himself from Shen Zhiyi.

With a sweet smile, Shen Zhiyi asked without any hesitation, "What's wrong?"
Su Che was speechless, feeling that this woman was a bit oblivious. He said with a wry smile, "If you want to stay, then stay. There's a bedroom over there."
"Yay!"
Upon hearing this, Shen Zhiyi jumped up with joy, her smile mirroring Su Che's when he picked up the money.
Before Su Che returned, Shen Zhiyi was actually quite uneasy. She was worried that he would reject her, and given what had happened before, she was concerned that it would cause him to dislike her.
