Chapter 2 Curating Studio

Chapter 2 Curating Studio

The next morning, Yu Yin suddenly woke up. When he saw the surrounding environment, his heartbeat gradually calmed down.

She dreamed that after divorcing Zhao Shunian, she was destitute and living on the streets, begging for alms. Zhao Shunian was in a luxury car with his new lover, and the car sped past, splashing her with dirty water. Recognizing the black Bentley as Zhao Shunian's, she chased after him, shouting, "Grandet! He's so heartless! He wouldn't even give her the breakup fee!"

Yu Yin was confused as to why she had such an unlucky dream. She had tens of millions in her account, so she shouldn't be living in such poverty.

The villa's maid, Mama Ye, urged the kitchen to prepare breakfast for the mistress, saying that the mistress would soon be coming downstairs.

The newly arrived maid Xiaowen walked out of the kitchen and looked up to see the beautiful hostess slowly walking down the stairs in shallow high heels.

She secretly thought that Ye Ma was worthy of being an old servant from the old house, and she was very skilled in serving people.

When Yu Yin walked into the restaurant, Ye's mother had just brought out breakfast, which was her favorite seafood porridge, as well as some delicious side dishes and snacks.

Yu Yin grew up in a remote and backward fishing village, backed by mountains and facing the sea. When she was a child, her adoptive parents were very poor and made a living by fishing. The most she ate were various leftover seafood, which she ate as meals.

Seafood seems to be engraved in her genes. She never gets tired of eating it. Even when she grows up, she still likes eating seafood, but she is becoming more and more picky.

Ye Ma thought her wife would be sad about what happened yesterday, so she specifically ordered the kitchen to make seafood porridge to cheer her up. The chef put a lot of thought into this bowl of seafood porridge.

Yu Yin didn't know what Ye Ma was thinking. She had a physical checkup scheduled today and planned to skip breakfast, so she said, "Ye Ma, you guys take it and share it. I'm not eating anymore."

As Ye's mother watched Yu Yin leave, she began to imagine how sad her wife was, unable to eat her breakfast, the seafood porridge she always loved. She couldn't help but sigh.

Xiaowen couldn't help but swallow her saliva when she saw the delicious dim sum. She had never tasted such dim sum before. When the wife said she could share some, her hands were itching to reach out.

Suddenly, Ye Ma gave Xiaowen a sharp look and she immediately retracted her hand.

"This won't happen again."

Xiaowen nodded vigorously, "Yes, I know I was wrong."

"Even if the madam told us to share the food, it's extremely rude to just pick it up and eat it here. No waiter would do that if you were to eat at a restaurant outside."

………

A Brunel Blue Bentley worth millions was speeding slowly along the road. Yu Yin was driving very cautiously, always prepared for danger.

She was worried that her unskilled driving skills would cause her to hit other cars and people, and she was also worried about being hit by other cars. She didn't have the arrogance of a luxury car at all. The Wuling Hongguang speeding by was even more impressive than her.

After arriving at the hospital, Yu Yin consulted with the doctor and underwent a full physical examination. She also requested an expedited procedure, hoping to receive an electronic report within the day.

When paying the bill, Yu Yin subconsciously swiped the card Zhao Shunian gave her. Only after swiping the card did she realize that she had swiped the wrong card.

She changed her mind and realized it was all Zhao Shunian's fault for forcing her to have a physical examination. It was only natural for him to pay for it. She put the matter behind her.

After the medical examination, Yu Yin went to work at her studio. She and her friend Xiang Yue opened a curatorial studio.

At the beginning, Yu Yin wanted to have a job, but the Zhao family did not allow her to work in other companies. She could either take up a sinecure in a company under the group's name, or stay at home and be a good wife.

Yu Yin didn't want to choose either option. She didn't want to join a group where her every move would be magnified and monitored. She even less wanted to go to the Liang Group.

Xiang Yue had just resigned from the museum, planning to try her hand at independent curating. If she hit a wall, she could return to her museum job. Yu Yin had money, and Xiang Yue was talented, so they teamed up to open a curatorial studio.

The Zhao family had some objections to this, but Zhao Shunian agreed immediately, allowing Yu Yin to open her studio smoothly. She had seen the methods of people like them before, and if they didn't agree, the studio would not be able to continue.

The studio is located in a prosperous building owned by a real estate company under the Mega Group. The real estate industry has been sluggish in recent years, and the company has been shedding some low-value heavy assets to reduce its burden, and this is clearly not one of them.

Land is very expensive here. Not including property fees, the annual rent of the studio is at least tens of millions. If it weren't for the Zhao family's territory and they signed a 50-year rent-free contract with Yu Yin, she would not have chosen this place.

She and Xiang Yue both felt that even fifty years might not be the lifespan of a studio, so it was equivalent to Zhao Shunian providing them with the venue for free.

Yu Yin and Xiang Yue's studio is called Yin Yue Studio. When others hear it, they may ask what type of music the studio produces. Every time they encounter this question, they want to explain it in a nonsensical way, saying that it is a music studio full of artistic atmosphere and focuses on commercial curation.

When Yu Yin entered the studio, a young woman wearing a Jil Sander pleated dress was communicating with her subordinates in the office area.

This young woman is Xiang Yue. In the eyes of outsiders, Xiang Yue is a very fashionable and capable career woman. However, Yu Yin, her college roommate and good friend, knows her true face best. In private, she is a quirky person who always has all kinds of pornographic garbage in her mind but is a master of love theory with no practical experience.

During college, Xiang Yue was the dorm's love strategist. Another roommate told her she had no real combat experience and was unreliable as a strategist. Xiang Yue said that was wrong. Strategists often didn't fight in the field themselves, but rather commanded troops from the safest possible location.

Xiang Yue walked over to Yu Yin as soon as he saw her, put his arm around her shoulders, and the first thing he said to her was, "Can you stay until six o'clock today, or just stay with me overtime?"

Yu Yin felt a little guilty, "I haven't thought about it yet, let's talk about it tomorrow."

She quickened her pace towards the office.

Yu Yin was not punctual for work. He often came to the studio at 10 or 11 o'clock and went home after get off work at around 5 o'clock in the afternoon.

Xiang Yue looked as if he saw through her and said, "Tomorrow and tomorrow, and then it will be over."

Xiang Yue followed her into the office. After joking around for a while, they got down to work and discussed the arrangements for an exhibition of a collector's collection that had been going on for some time.

Yu Yin wasn't an art major; she was in charge of the studio's back-office management. Art studies were expensive, and she couldn't afford them before. When she was assigned to a mixed-major dorm during college, she and Xiang Yue met.

Yu Yin started school a year earlier than most people, entering university at the age of 17. She performed very well on the college entrance examination and was admitted to a top prestigious university.

In that small county town with very poor educational resources, her performance is a very inspiring example.

After a lifetime of bending, Yu Yin's adoptive parents finally straightened their backs. They had a promising daughter. She grew up in a region where sons were heavily favored over daughters. Her adoptive parents only had one biological daughter and her, their adopted daughter. In that community, not having a son was met with scorn and disdain, and the pressure and pain they endured were immense.

Yu Yin changed her fate through education and went to college in the capital. Liang Lisheng was invited by her school to give a lecture, and she volunteered for that lecture. That was their first meeting, and she didn't know he was her biological father at the time.

A few years later, Yu Yin's fate took a major turn because of Liang Lisheng. His daughter Liang Yilin broke off the engagement and ran away from home and disappeared. He asked her to marry Liang Yilin into the Zhao family to complete the marriage.
