Zhao Cheng glanced at Shen Ning, who was grimacing in pain, and then at Qin Zhuo's composed expression. He reached out and grabbed the foolish soldier, taking him away.
Shen Ning's knees hurt a lot, and she couldn't get up for a long time. A hand with distinct knuckles reached out and lifted her chin with its fingertips.
His dark phoenix eyes stared into hers, leaving her nowhere to hide.
Before Shen Ning could speak, he lifted her veil with his other hand, his warm fingertips sliding down her cheek, from her forehead to her chin.
His movements were ambiguous, but his eyes were serious, as if he were studying some difficult problem.
"Hey, have you touched enough?"
Even at her age, Shen Ning couldn't stand such ambiguity.
It's so embarrassing to be so close and touching like this.
Tears welled up in her eyes involuntarily, and her cheeks and ears felt hot.
Upon noticing her expression, Qin Zhuo paused, lowered his eyes to conceal the fleeting ripple of emotion, and put the veil back on her.
"The face is real."
Once free, Shen Ning sat back down, not caring about her image, and quickly took two steps back to create distance, feeling both ashamed and annoyed: "Is this face even fake?"

I thoroughly enjoyed the play, but it was incredibly painful.
