Chapter 19: Fierce Fight on the Reservoir

The young man slashed at the dark-skinned intelligent dark creature with his sword, but the humanoid creature suddenly stepped forward and crossed his hands. Ten sharp nail-like spikes grew on his ten fingers, blocking the strong wind from the young man's attack. Then he quickly moved sideways and disappeared from sight.

The young man stood still in the air with a sword in his hand, seemingly looking straight ahead, but in fact he was alert and vigilant to his surroundings. Suddenly, ripples appeared in the air one meter to the left of the young man, and ten sharp long spikes stabbed at him. The young man turned around and slashed the ten long fingers upwards with a sword. Taking advantage of the half-minute gap when the humanoid creature in the ripples gradually appeared, he grabbed the hands that stretched out from the air, and with a light force, he pulled the creature out of the invisible space, threw it forward with force, and slammed it into the water.

"Is it the newly awakened space jump ability? No, to be able to use space jump so skillfully, it must have been awakened for a while, but why is it so weak? Ah! That's right, it must have cost you a lot of energy to shuttle through the link space, so you are so anxious to attack me?"

The young man looked at the dark humanoid creature in front of him that was smashed into the water and then disappeared into the ripples of the lake, muttering to himself:

"Are you so anxious to devour me? You're really overestimating your own abilities!"

After the young man finished speaking, he swung his sword and flashed through the air. He suddenly appeared at the edge of the lake a hundred meters away on the right. He slashed at the junction of the water surface and the shore with his sword. The originally calm lake water splashed everywhere. Several large trees around him that were as thick as an adult's waist were instantly cut in half by the sword energy. The trees fell down with a loud bang, and a humanoid creature suddenly appeared where the broken tree fell.

"Want to escape? How can it be that easy!" the young man whispered softly:

"Tell me, how many people came to the real world with you through the link channel? Where are they?"

"Hahaha, I really underestimated you. Even after being sealed for thousands of years, you are still so strong."

"Answer my questions. My patience is limited." The young man stepped on the waist of the humanoid dark creature, pointed his long sword at its head, and said coldly, "If you keep talking nonsense, I will split your head open and dig out your soul core!"

"Hahahaha, if I die, how long can you live? It's been so long since you came out of the seal of the dark world, don't you feel anything abnormal with your body? Do you think you are still human?! Hahahaha!"

The humanoid creature laughed maniacally. "You can walk in both the real world and the dark world in your normal form. Do you think you are still a complete human now? You are just the same as us! Or in human terms, a half-human, half-dark creature hybrid?!"

"Looking for death!" The young man stabbed a sword into the boy's heart!

The humanoid creature groaned and continued to laugh crazily: "We will occupy the entire world sooner or later, and you will become like us sooner or later. I'll wait for you! I'll wait for you! Hahahaha...uh..."

The young man impatiently stabbed a sword into the head of the crazy humanoid dark creature, and then used another sword to pick out a peanut-sized black crystal stone from the head. He looked at the corpse on the ground with disgust, only to see the corpse gradually turn into black mist and dissipate in the air. He glanced at the tip of the sword in his hand and frowned.

"You've stained my sword again." The young man swung his sword a few times, and the stains on the sharp sword turned into black mist and dissipated. Then he put the sword back at his waist and threw the black crystal in his hand back.

"Here you go!"

A red flower of the other shore suddenly appeared behind the boy. The transparent figure in the center of the flower happily caught the black crystal thrown by the boy, held it in both hands, and swallowed it into his mouth in one gulp. After eating it, he said happily:

"Thank you, Master~"

The young man nodded slightly, took a step forward with his long legs, and was about to teleport away from the reservoir when he suddenly felt dizzy and fell into the reservoir with a splash.

“Master!!!” The transparent little man in the red spider lily screamed, and the next second hurriedly flew towards the young man who fell into the water. The man and the flower disappeared in the water.

In Xiaojia Village, in the ancestral hall, Xiao Bai, who was drowsy listening to the village chief's stories, suddenly heard a shrill scream in her mind, which startled her and made her jump up. She was about to ask Zhang Kai beside her if he heard someone calling "Master" again, but the next second she felt a wooden stick hitting her body hard.

"Why aren't you sitting down and listening to the class?" The village chief shouted at Xiao Bai fiercely, holding his cane. "This is a matter of life and death! If you don't listen to the class, I'll lock you up in the ancestral hall and ask you to reflect on your mistakes!"

The village chief continued walking forward while talking, leaning on his crutches.

"You are the youngest and most promising children in our village. You must remember everything I've said before and share it with your families. From now on, you will have to attend classes at the ancestral hall every morning! That's all for today! Go back and have lunch. Dismissed!"

As if a switch had been turned on, a group of people rushed out of the crowd, chattering as they walked.

"It's been so long since we graduated, why is the village chief still asking us to come to class?"

"Yeah, it's such a mess outside right now. The city is full of ruins from planetary impacts. How can we still have classes?"

"The class the village chief mentioned won't be about telling stories like today, right?"

"By the way, is what the village chief said today true? If so, I feel like all my compulsory education was wasted!"

"Who cares? If you believe it, it exists. If you don't believe it, it doesn't exist. The end of science is theology. Who knows whether it's true or not?"

"But hasn't there been a lot of news lately? Haven't you seen it? It seems like strange things are happening all over the world. Maybe what the village chief said is true?"
