Chapter 164 Do You Think I Will Believe It?

Chapter 164 Do You Think I Will Believe It?

I got out of bed, put on my clothes, and walked downstairs, only to find that it was Jiang Yichen who came back drunk.

"Auntie Wang, leave it to me! Go make some sobering tea."

"OK."

I took Jiang Yichen from Aunt Wang and helped him lie down on the sofa.

He reeked of alcohol and his eyes were blurry, but he hugged me tightly. I patted his shoulder and called his name softly: "Jiang Yichen, Jiang Yichen."

No matter how I asked, he didn't respond.

I laid him on his side on the sofa, gently stroked his back, and placed the trash can next to him, fearing that he would vomit.

After a while, the nanny brought some sobering tea and I carefully fed it to Jiang Yichen.

It felt like he was asleep, and his breathing became even.

But it’s a bit cold downstairs, and I’m worried that he will catch a cold if he sleeps on the sofa.

Afterwards, Aunt Wang and I worked hard to help him back to the room.

I stayed by his bedside throughout the night, taking care of him and making sure he was sleeping comfortably.

The next morning, when Jiang Yichen woke up, he gently reached out and touched my head, but accidentally woke me up.

He quickly retracted his hand, pretending nothing had happened, and asked me, "Why are you here?"

"You don't remember anything?" I wanted to tease him.

Jiang Yichen rubbed his forehead and ordered coldly: "Speak."

"Yesterday you grabbed someone's hand and kept shouting, 'Momo, Momo...'"

I could see with my naked eyes that the corners of Jiang Yichen's mouth twitched, and he said sarcastically: "Haha, Gu Mo, do you think I will believe it?"

"It's so boring. Now that President Jiang is fine, get up quickly. You'll be late for work."

I stuck out my tongue, fearing that Jiang Yichen would retaliate, and hurriedly left the room.

I didn't even wait for him when I went to work in the morning.

I was drowsy sitting on the bus. I finally arrived at the company, but before I even entered, I received a call.

"Hey, what's wrong, Dad?"

My father's voice on the phone was a little anxious, "Momo, come to the People's Hospital. Dad is in the hospital now."

I woke up immediately and asked with concern, "Dad, don't worry, I'll be there soon."

After I hung up the phone, I immediately asked for leave from the company and rushed to the People's Hospital.

Along the way, I was very nervous and kept wondering what had happened to your father.

When I rushed to the hospital, I found your father lying on the hospital bed. He looked a little pale, but he seemed to be fine.

Finally I felt relieved.

"Dad, what's wrong with you? Why did you come to the hospital suddenly?" you asked with concern.

Your father sighed and said, "Momo, Dad was accidentally hit by a car when he went out today, but luckily the driver braked in time and he only suffered minor injuries."

Hearing this, I felt scared. If the driver hadn't braked in time, the consequences would have been disastrous.

"What about the driver?" you asked.

"He ran away, but luckily I met Song Le, and he took me to the hospital." Your father said.

I looked around but didn't see Song Le. I couldn't help but feel a little puzzled, so I asked, "Where is he now?"

Before he finished speaking, Song Le pushed the door open and walked in. When he saw me, he was obviously stunned for a moment, and a hint of surprise and joy flashed in his eyes.

I looked at him carefully and couldn't help but frown slightly. He seemed to be much thinner than before, and his cheeks were slightly sunken, which made people feel pity.

"Today's work is really thanks to you. How much did it cost in total? I'll transfer it to you right away."

I said gratefully and took out my cell phone to transfer the money to him.

However, Song Le gently pushed my hand back and said with a smile: "It's really not much money. I'm glad that uncle is okay. This is what I should do."

I felt even more guilty when I heard that, and insisted, "How can that be? You saved my father, and I have no way to repay you for this kindness. If you don't take the money, I'm afraid I won't be able to sleep at night because of the guilt."

After hearing this, Song Le smiled with a bit of helplessness and persistence: "Momo, why do we have to be so distant with each other? I appreciate your kindness, but I really can't accept the money."

The two of us were in a stalemate, neither of us willing to give in.

At this time, my father noticed something was going on. His eyes moved back and forth between us, and he quickly broke the silence: "Since Song Le is unwilling to accept the money, let's treat him to a meal when I am discharged from the hospital! This will not only show that we are grateful, but also enhance our friendship."

I don't think this is a good idea, and I don't really want to have too much to do with the guy in Song Le's car.

Song Le nodded and said, "Okay, then I'll listen to uncle."

Song Le seemed to be afraid that I would refuse, so he quickly agreed with my father and a relieved smile appeared on his face.

Seeing this, I had no choice but to agree.

My father was not seriously injured and was discharged from the hospital after two days.

Before I got off work that day, I received a call from my dad: "Dad, why did you suddenly want to go out for dinner?"

"I just recovered from a serious illness, so I have to celebrate. Do you have any questions?"

My dad's childish temper came up again, and I reluctantly agreed: "Okay, send me the address, and I'll go over later."

The company has been extremely busy these past two days, and I completely forgot about inviting Song Le to dinner.

I arrived at the restaurant as agreed, and at a glance I saw my parents and Song Le sitting around a table, chatting happily.

My pace slowed down involuntarily, and a sense of discomfort welled up in my heart.

However, Song Le's gaze seemed to penetrate the hustle and bustle of the restaurant and captured my figure from afar.

He stood up with a smile and greeted me warmly.

At that moment, I seemed to be pulled by an invisible force and had to bite the bullet and walk towards them.

"Momo, why did you come just now? Song Le has been waiting for a long time." There was a hint of anger in my mother's words, but it also revealed her doting on me.

I smiled awkwardly and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, I'm late."

Song Le handed me the menu gently, with a soft light in his eyes: "It's okay, see if there is anything you want to eat? I heard from Auntie that you like fish, and I have already ordered one. See if there is anything else you want to eat."

Dad smiled and interrupted: "Yes, Xiao Song is really considerate. After so many years, he still remembers what you like to eat and what you don't like to eat."

My mother also asked, "Yes, Xiao Song, do you have a girlfriend now?"

I smiled bitterly in my heart, knowing that my parents were about to start their "matchmaking plan".

I closed the menu gracefully, smiled, and tried to interrupt their "singing in unison": "Mom, Uncle Song is arranging a blind date for Song Le recently, so you guys should stop trying to match them up."
