Chapter 273: Find a Way to Break Through

Chapter 273: Find a Way to Break Through

Led by the administrator, we stepped into the dimly lit warehouse on the second floor.

The smell of old papers permeates the air, and the piles of file boxes seem to be silently telling the passing of time.

The administrator pointed to the dusty bookshelf in the corner and whispered, "The shipping records and contract records from twenty years ago are all there. Take your time to check them out. Call me anytime if you need anything."

I nodded slightly, suppressed my inner anxiety, walked quickly to the bookshelf, pulled out a stack of files and began to read them carefully.

Jiang Yichen and I beside me also picked up a stack of documents each, looking intently, carefully searching line by line and word by word.

In silence, time passed quietly, and the atmosphere in the warehouse became increasingly depressing.

Suddenly, my fingers stopped and my eyes fixed on a yellowed contract. The words "Lin Shu" were clearly visible.

My heart skipped a beat, and my eyes lit up instantly. I quickly handed the contract to Jiang Yichen, and said in a trembling voice, "Look, this is the shipping contract signed by Lin Shu. The date is exactly the year when the fake drug case happened."

Jiang Yichen took the contract and examined it sharply, with a cold light flashing in his eyes: "Yes, this is the key evidence we are looking for."

I stared at the contract with a serious expression: "With this, maybe we can uncover a corner of the conspiracy between the Jin family and Lin Shu."

I couldn't contain my joy and almost cheered out loud, but I held back and said excitedly in a low voice, "Great! We finally made a great discovery!"

Jiang Yichen looked at me, his eyes full of praise, and the corners of his lips slightly raised: "Thanks to your persistence and sharpness, we were able to find the clues so quickly."

I smiled back and said in a relaxed tone: "This is the credit of our team, and no one can be missing."

"Let's go, we'll go back first. Next, it's time to make the Jin family and Lin Shu pay the price." Jiang Yichen's voice was low and firm.

"Yeah." I responded softly, full of fighting spirit.

However, just as he was about to leave, Jiang Yichen suddenly stopped and said with a deep look in his eyes: "Keep investigating, there may be more key clues."

I nodded and looked through the files again.

His fingers slid lightly across the paper, his eyes focused.

Every detail seems to be an important piece of a puzzle, waiting to be put together.

At this moment, the cell phone vibrated slightly in my pocket.

I quietly took out my phone and saw a message from Xiao Tiantian: "Sister Mo, there is someone sneaking around outside. It looks strange."

These people are from the Jin family, and they have been monitoring us.

My heart suddenly tightened, and I quickly replied: "Keep a close eye on them and don't let them get close to the archives."

"I understand." Xiao Tiantian's reply was brief and decisive.

Putting down the phone, I looked at Jiang Yichen and reported in a low voice: "Xiao Tiantian said there is something going on outside, and someone is wandering around nearby."

Jiang Yichen's eyes were as sharp as an eagle's, and his voice was cold: "It seems that someone doesn't want us to find out the truth and wants to stop us."

I nodded silently, feeling uneasy and spreading rapidly like a vine.

We must speed up, otherwise we will fall into a bigger crisis.

"Keep looking." Jiang Yichen's tone left no room for doubt, "Time is running out."

I took a deep breath, suppressed my inner anxiety, and flipped through the files quickly with a sharp gaze.

In the warehouse, the only sound echoed was the rustling of papers turning.

At this moment, Xiao Tiantian was outside on high alert.

Her thin figure in the sunlight looked like an alert lioness.

His eyes scanned the surroundings like a hawk, his hand tightly grasped the mobile phone, ready to sound the alarm at any time.

The phone vibrated again, and Xiao Tiantian's nervous voice came: "Sister Mo, there are more and more people, they are slowly approaching."

"Stay alert and notify me immediately if there is anything unusual."

I tried to keep my voice steady.

"clear."

After a brief response, the call was hung up.

I continued to look through the files, Jiang Yichen standing beside me.

"There's something wrong here." I pointed to a line of words on the file and whispered, "The time mentioned in Lin Shu's confession doesn't match Grandpa's itinerary."

Jiang Yichen leaned in to check, his brows knitted, a hint of doubt flashed in his eyes: "There is indeed a contradiction. If what she said is true, then grandpa was not in the company at all at the time. There must be something hidden behind this."

Lin Shu's confession seemed to hide a deeper secret, but I couldn't be sure what it was. I turned to the next page, my fingers gently sliding across the paper, my eyes sharp. A bank statement came into view, my pupils contracted slightly, and my heartbeat suddenly accelerated.

"Jiang Yichen, look at this!" My voice trembled slightly with excitement, and I pointed my finger at a line of record on the bank statement. "Lin Shu's account received a huge remittance three months before the incident, and the remitter turned out to be the predecessor company of the Jin family!"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Yichen immediately moved closer to take a closer look.

His brows were furrowed, and a sharp light flashed in his eyes: "The timing is too coincidental. This remittance happened to be one week before your grandfather signed the shipping contract. There must be some ulterior motive behind this."

I nodded vigorously, excitement and nervousness intertwined. "Yes! This is definitely not a coincidence. Lin Shu is very likely the traitor planted by the Jin family in the Jiang family. She took the money and betrayed the Jiang family at the critical moment!"

Jiang Yichen's mouth curled up slightly, revealing a hint of sneer: "It is indeed her. But things may not be that simple, there may be a bigger conspiracy behind this."

I looked up at him, my eyes gleaming with excitement, as if I had seen the outline of the truth.

Jiang Yichen looked at me, and his eyes suddenly softened.

He reached out his hand and gently touched my head, his voice as gentle as the spring breeze: "You are amazing."

Just then, there was a loud crash outside the warehouse.

My heart instantly rose to my throat and I almost dropped the file in my hand.

Jiang Yichen quickly stood in front of me, his eyes as sharp as a hawk, staring at the warehouse door vigilantly.

At this moment, a figure quickly flashed into the warehouse. I was about to scream, but I saw that the man closed the door with his backhand and propped it with a heavy object.

The mysterious man slowly took off his hat and mask, revealing a young and determined face, with ruthlessness and persistence in his eyes.

He panted slightly, looked at me and Jiang Yichen, and broke the tense and silent atmosphere: "My name is Qin Yu. The Jin family destroyed my family. I have been lying dormant for many years just to find an opportunity for revenge."

A trace of painful memories flashed in his eyes, and he continued, "Back then, the Jin family used all means to swallow up my family's business. They first framed my father for business fraud, and sent him to prison. He suffered torture in prison and eventually died of hatred. My mother couldn't bear such a blow and died of depression not long after. I was lucky enough to escape, and I have been hiding my identity for these years, collecting evidence of the Jin family's crimes."

Qin Yu clenched his fists, his knuckles turned white, and his tone was full of hatred: "I have been secretly following the Jin family's every move. I know the feud between them and the Jiang family, and I also know that you are investigating the fake medicine case. I followed those minions of the Jin family and found that they went to the archives. I guessed that you might be in danger, so I came to help."

Jiang Yichen and I looked at each other. Jiang Yichen nodded slightly, with a little more trust in his eyes: "Thank you, we will deal with it together."

Qin Yu's eyes were firm: "There are a lot of them, we have to think of a way. These evidences cannot fall into their hands."

I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down: "Yes, let's hide the important evidence first, and then find a way to break out."
