Chapter 333 Happiness
"Xiao Xia, I'm here to check the training results today. How are your preparations going?" I asked.
She nodded, twisting her fingers nervously, "Yes, the new anchors have been in training for a month, and today is their first official live broadcast."
I patted her shoulder and said, "Don't be nervous. I believe in your ability."
I turned on the computer and clicked on the new live broadcast page.
The three new people trained by Lin Xiaoxia were live streaming, and I carefully observed every detail. The picture clarity was good, but the background layout was a bit monotonous;
The host’s explanation was very professional, but not interactive enough; the angle of product display also needed to be improved.
I wrote down these suggestions one by one and was about to discuss them with Lin Xiaoxia when I suddenly noticed that the number of people in the live broadcast room was increasing rapidly. It turned out that a host accidentally spilled water on himself while demonstrating the product, and this accident actually livened up the atmosphere in the live broadcast room.
"This accident was handled well," I said to Lin Xiaoxia who had just walked over. "The host reacted quickly and used humor to resolve the awkwardness."
Lin Xiaoxia breathed a sigh of relief: "Yes, this is also one of the key points of our training. But the interaction just now was indeed not enough. I will go and remind them now."
I stopped her and said, "Wait, I think we can do this..." We discussed for a while and decided to let the anchors add some lucky draw sessions, and at the same time adjust the order of product display to put the most attractive ones in front.
The effect of the modification was immediate. The number of people in the live broadcast room continued to rise, and the barrage became much more active. I looked at the data background and nodded with satisfaction: "Xiao Xia, you did a good job."
She smiled sheepishly: "I learned all this from you. By the way, we haven't eaten the cake yet, everyone is waiting for you to cut the first piece."
I then remembered the cake on the table and hurried over. Surrounded by them, I cut the first piece of cake. The sweet cream melted in my mouth, and I suddenly thought of Xiao Huai at home.
At this moment, I felt unprecedented satisfaction - I was working hard in both my career and family.
I pushed open the door tiredly. It was already past ten o'clock in the evening. There was only a warm yellow floor lamp on in the living room. Jiang Yichen was sitting on the sofa reading documents.
Hearing the door open, he looked up and a cunning light flashed in his eyes.
"You're back?" He closed the file and stood up. "Go change your clothes first. I'll take you somewhere."
I was stunned for a moment: "It's so late, where are you going? Where's Xiao Huai?"
"Grandma is sleeping with me," he pushed me to the bedroom, "Don't worry, I have arranged everything."
Walking into the bedroom, I found a brand new dress on the bed, in my favorite champagne color. Jiang Yichen put his arms around my waist from behind and rested his chin on my shoulder: "You have been too hard during this period, just relax tonight."
I turned around, looked into his gentle eyes, and suddenly felt a lump in my throat.
I have been very busy recently, dealing with the affairs of the anchor in the company.
"What's wrong?" Jiang Yichen noticed my mood change and hugged me.
I shook my head and buried my face in his arms: "I just feel... a little tired."
He stroked my hair and said, "Then you should go out and relax. Go change your clothes. I'll wait for you downstairs."
When I changed and went downstairs, Jiang Yichen was already waiting at the entrance. He was wearing a dark blue shirt today, which was my birthday gift to him last year. When he saw me coming down, his eyes lit up: "It looks great."
I smiled and took his arm, "You too."
Before leaving, I pushed open the door of the children's room with my hands and feet. Xiao Huai was sleeping soundly, his face was rosy, and his long eyelashes cast a shadow on his face. He seemed to have grown up a little after not seeing him for just a few days.
Jiang Yichen stood behind me and said softly, "He always wants to talk recently. I guess he will call me daddy soon."
I turned around and glared at him: "You must call mom first."
He smiled and pulled me out the door: "That's not necessarily true."
The car drove to the outskirts of the city. In the night, I gradually recognized this road. This is the place where we went on our first date, the observation deck on the top of the mountain. At that time, we were young people who had just started a business. We often came here in the middle of the night to watch the stars and imagine the future.
As expected, Jiang Yichen parked the car at the observation deck. He took out a picnic basket from the trunk like a magic trick, which contained red wine and snacks. We sat on the ground under the starry sky, the night breeze blew gently, and the lights of the city in the distance looked like stars.
"This is a great place I found specially." Jiang Yichen poured me a glass of red wine. "I still remember that you were just a host before, and then you grew up step by step, Momo."
I took a sip of wine and smiled, "Yeah, I was so naive back then. Now I know that starting a business is not that easy."
“But you did it,” he said, holding my hand. “Now the studio is developing so well that you’ve started to train new people.”
I looked at him in surprise: "How did you know?"
He blinked: "How could I not know."
My heart warmed up and I leaned on his shoulder: "It's nothing, actually. I just feel... a little tired."
"This is growth," Jiang Yichen said softly, "But, wife, your business is my business. If anything happens, your husband will solve it for you as soon as possible."
We just snuggled together, looking at the starry sky. The night wind brought the faint scent of flowers from afar, and Jiang Yichen's fingers gently stroked my palm. At this moment, all the fatigue and worries disappeared.
"Oh, by the way," he suddenly remembered something, "Xiao Huai's birthday is coming soon, how about we throw him a party?"
I sat up straight: "Okay! We can invite Xu Sisi and the others."
Jiang Yichen interrupted me with a smile: "Look, you get excited when talking about Xiao Huai."
I smiled sheepishly: "Of course, he is my little princess."
"You are my daughter too," he leaned close to my ear, "but tonight, you are mine alone."
My face turned red, and just as I was about to say something, his kiss had already landed on me. This kiss was gentle and lingering, with the mellow aroma of red wine and the coolness of the night breeze. I closed my eyes, feeling his breath, as if I was back to the summer when we first met.
I don't know how long it took before we reluctantly separated. Jiang Yichen put his coat on my shoulders and said, "Go back. You have to go to work tomorrow."
On the way home, I leaned against the car window and watched the night scene flying by. Jiang Yichen held the steering wheel with one hand and gently held my hand with the other. At this moment, I suddenly felt extremely happy.
It was almost midnight when we got home. We tiptoed upstairs, and when we passed the children's room, I couldn't help but take another look at the sleeping Xiao Huai.
The moonlight shone through the curtains onto his little bed. He had been coaxed to sleep in the children's room by his grandmother, and was mumbling something, but it was unclear.
