Chapter 443 Escape

Sang Qing tensed up, plotting how to escape, when she suddenly heard a woman scream:

"Ah! Who...who is this?"

The woman spoke English, but when she came in and said "darling" in Chinese.

Sang Qing thought to herself, "She must have been asking James at the door, or... was this woman also mixed-race like me?"

"Ah, Madam, you've arrived!" It was unmistakably James's sycophantic voice.

Mrs?

Sang Qing was taken aback. So the woman was quite old.

Moreover, her tone was surprised, clearly indicating that she was unaware that Sang Qing was lying there.

Enraged, the woman cursed in English: "You bastard, you son of a bitch! Ha, you conspired with your boss to send a little bitch to provoke me?!"

"I'll see who this damn person is!"

"Oh, madam, please...please calm down!"

Sang Qing heard a pulling and tugging sound.

She felt the woman try to hit her several times, but James stopped her each time. James tried to reason with her, but the woman only grew angrier and started yelling and cursing.

Sang Qing could only lie motionless in bed.

Just then another voice came: "What are you all doing!"

It was a man, but his voice was really awful.

Sang Qing judged that this man must be the boss James had mentioned.

The whole room fell silent as soon as he appeared.

The woman, who had just been arrogant and domineering, was now crying her heart out.

“Lu Maokun! I’ve been with you all these years, day and night, serving you… I’ve done my part, haven’t I? But you, you actually…”

The man was a little annoyed and waved for James to leave.

When he saw Sang Qing lying on the bed, a lecherous glint appeared in his sinister triangular eyes.

The woman cried and wailed, recounting all the hardships she had endured over the years, the money she had given him, and how heartless and unfaithful the man had been to her...

After her outburst, Lü Maokun lost all interest.

“Maokun…” the woman sobbed, “When you first came to Manchester, you were just a nobody. This place is ruled by white people. If I hadn’t given you money and paved the way for you, would you have gotten to where you are today? You should have some sense of morality!”

"Alright, alright, I know!" Although Lu Maokun was annoyed by her, he had to admit that this woman had played a crucial role in his success in the white world.

Besides, she hasn't completely lost her usefulness yet, so we can't afford to offend her.

Lu Maokun put his arm around her waist, then immediately pulled it back.

This roll of fat feels really hot to the touch!

"Alright, honey, don't worry, I won't touch this girl! Ha, it's all James's fault, those little rascals, they always think I'm the kind of person who's fickle! I'll teach them a lesson they won't forget!"

Sang Qing remained lying on the bed, feeling that she could be saved.

As long as this woman makes a scene, she can keep the boss in check.

And she, if she seizes the opportunity well, can escape!

"You promised me you'd send this little bitch away later!" the woman said angrily.

"Yes, I promise!"

“Maokun,” the woman’s voice immediately softened, “I have a way to help you launder that money you mentioned last time…”

"real?"

"certainly!"

“But,” Lü Maokun hesitated, “money laundering isn’t easy. What can you do? Are you really going to…”

The woman smiled and nodded.

She leaned against Lü Maokun's shoulder, her hands restlessly trying to unbutton his shirt, then slipping to his belt buckle.

"Don't worry, even if something happens, the Fu family will cover for you! I absolutely guarantee your safety!"

"Darling, there will never be another woman as good as you..."

"Then how will you repay me? Hahaha..."

Sang Qing almost vomited while lying in bed.

She clearly heard the two people entangled together, seemingly leaving the room, followed by waves of screams coming from the next room.

Sang Qing's heart pounded wildly. She carefully removed her blindfold and looked around.

This room is on the second floor.

She didn't know the layout of the building, and there might be guards downstairs, so she might as well jump!

After hesitating for a few seconds, she closed her eyes, steeled her resolve, and jumped out of the window! She twisted her ankle, but ignored the pain and just ran forward as fast as she could.

Having lived in Manchester for eighteen years, she knows the city's streets and alleys like the back of her hand, and even some of the lesser-known side streets are familiar to her.

She turned left and right, not daring to look back or stop, and after running for an unknown amount of time, she finally reached the main road.

Although it was midnight, this bustling downtown area was still teeming with people.

Hidden among the crowd, Sang Qing was finally able to slow down and gasp for breath.

She hadn't walked a few steps when suddenly a large hand covered her shoulder.

Sang Qing screamed, her heart nearly leaping out of her chest. She whirled around, grabbed the hand, and bit down hard—

"ah!"

Sang Qing was taken aback, then agreed.

That voice... why does it sound so familiar?

She timidly raised her eyes and saw a circle of bodyguards around her, all looking at her with incredulous eyes.

The man she bit was in so much pain that his face turned pale, and he gave her a death stare while clutching the back of his hand.

“Un…uncle!” Sang Qing was stunned for a long time before she finally let out a trembling voice like a kitten.

At this moment, her tense nerves completely collapsed, and she buried her face in Nie Xin's arms, crying with extreme grievance.

"Uncle, uncle, help! They've arrested me and they're going to launder money..."
