Chapter 506 He's been to Manchester

He Jin returned to his palace dejectedly, feeling as if all his strength had been drained away, and slumped limply into the sofa.

Hearing Heya's words echo in his ears: "Help me get rid of Sang Qing! Once I sit on the throne and marry Nie Xin, I promise your secret will remain a secret forever! Moreover, I can give the Yin family even better treatment... Doesn't Huo Zhixing have a son? He's Chairman Yin's grandson. I can bestow a title upon him and make him the most prestigious child in all of Southeast Asia!"

He Jin pinched his brow hard, looked up and saw the crystal plate on the table. There was no pineapple, which he liked, in the fruit. In a fit of anger, he smashed the plate!

All the servants were stunned, standing frozen to the side, not daring to breathe.

Prince Jin is usually gentle and kind to others, and many servants in the palace are eager to stay by his side.

But today, he unexpectedly lost his temper...

He Jin took a deep breath, thoroughly annoyed, grabbed his robe, draped it over his shoulders, and ran out.

He drove his sports car, forbidding anyone to follow, and sped along the quiet mountain road with the accelerator roaring.

He Jin drove aimlessly, first arriving at the area south of the Yin family manor, near the small villa where Huo Zhixing and Jiang Can lived. The house was brightly lit, and laughter could be heard from time to time. After looking around for a while, his mood seemed to improve, and he even gave a slight smile.

But not wanting to cause trouble for Huo Zhixing, he quietly left.

Then, without realizing it, he arrived at the old street that Nie Xin had mentioned to him several times.

The old street was still bustling at this time of year, filled with small vendors. Neon lights shone brightly at the entrances on both sides of the street, and many shops had palm trees planted behind them, their leaves swaying in the wind. Combined with the colorful lights, it was a very distinctive Southeast Asian scene.

He Jin parked his car far away and walked along the street, soaking in the bustling atmosphere. He sampled some snacks, bought some spices, and even took a fancy to a robe—though the price seemed a bit too high to him.

The vendor enthusiastically shouted, "Sir, the embroidery on these clothes is top-notch! You're getting a great deal at this price!"

He Jin smiled slightly. "You didn't even hide the loose thread. How dare you call yourself a first-rate embroiderer?"

He waved his hand, clearly indicating to the shopkeeper that he wanted to look around some more, when a sweet voice called out to him, "Sir, would you like to come and have a look at our shop?"

He Jin turned around and was greeted by a face that was too beautiful to look at.

With bright, beautiful eyes and delicate features, she stood out in a crowd, especially with her long chestnut hair.

This aligns well with He Jin's aesthetic preferences.

He admired girls who were clean, beautiful, and had a lively spirit.

"Sir, come and take a look! Everything in our shop is of the finest quality. That man just now said his embroidery was top-notch, but I think that's just bragging!"

He Jin paused for a moment, then chuckled. "Slandering competitors is not a good thing."

"I'm telling the truth! You won't believe me, just watch..."

She took out another men's robe, and He Jin's eyes lit up.

Whether in terms of design, color scheme, or embroidery, it is a masterpiece, comparable to the embroiderers in the imperial palace.

"How about it? Pretty, right? But my stuff is good, so it's expensive!"

He Jin frowned, and couldn't help but look at her a few more times. The more he looked, the more he felt that she should be an acquaintance...

"May I have your name?"

"Um?"

"You..." He Jin hesitated for a moment, "Are you Sang Qing?"

Sang Qing was startled. Her previous state of being easily frightened in Manchester made her instinctively resistant to strangers who could call her by name.

"Who are you?" Her eyes widened. "I...I'm not an undocumented resident, I have a temporary residence permit! I'll have my legal status again in fifteen years, I..."

"I know," He Jin said with a gentle smile. "Don't be afraid, I'm He Jin. I even helped you get your temporary residence permit!"

Sang Qing's mind went completely blank.

"I never expected to run into you here! Where's Nie Xin?"

Sang Qing snapped out of her reverie and pointed to the back of the shop. That was the proprietress's house; faint sounds of drinking games and cheers could be heard coming from inside…

"Uncle is having dinner with Sister Amei and her three sons, so I came to watch the shop first."

He Jin looked puzzled. The Nie Xin he knew actually knew how to play rock-paper-scissors?

Unbelievable!

Sang Qing quickly invited him to sit in the shop and scooped out a bowl of her homemade rose-flavored ice jelly.

He Jin was very polite, and the two chatted for a while, unexpectedly finding they had quite a lot in common. He Jin mentioned that he had been to Manchester many years ago with his uncle.

Sang Qing chuckled: "Are you accompanying the King on this trip?"

"Hmm...it doesn't seem so." He Jin thought for a while and shook his head. Actually, his memory of that matter was very vague, and no one had told him what the old king was going to do in Manchester.

I only remember my uncle walking from one end of a street to the other, and then from the other end to the beginning, as if he was waiting for someone to appear.

He Jin sighed softly and rubbed his aching temples.

"Your Highness, what's wrong? You don't look well." Sang Qing looked at him with concern.

He Jin smiled and said, "I'm fine."

"I think...you seem to have something on your mind."

Sang Qing is incredibly perceptive when it comes to reading people's expressions and demeanor.

He Jin had no choice but to admit that he had indeed come out with a lot on his mind tonight. But he hadn't specified what those worries were.

Sang Qing rested her chin on her hand, her big eyes filled with confusion.

"I never thought that even members of your royal family would have troubles?"

“The royal family are human too!” He Jin said gently. “The royal family has just as many troubles as the common people, they just appear noble in public but suffer in private.”

Sang Qing rolled her eyes and grinned, "Is someone vying for the throne with you?"
