Nie Xin let out a long, loud snore.
Sang Qing smiled and carefully took two rings out of her pocket.
Calling them rings isn't quite accurate; they're more like two silver bands. The materials and workmanship aren't particularly refined; they were just bought on that street for the price of a few breakfasts.
For Sang Qing, who always skips breakfast to save money, these two silver rings are not cheap.
“I’ve always carried them with me,” she said softly. “I’ve always… told people that I have a fiancé. This ring was given to me by my fiancé.”
"I'll put it on you now, okay?"
Sang Qing took his hand; his fingers were long and slender with distinct knuckles, which were very attractive among men.
This silver ring looks rather cheap; it probably doesn't do justice to such a noble hand...
Sang Qing bit her lip, and just as she was about to put the ring on, she started to chicken out again.
"Fine, fine, I won't give it to you!" She wiped away her tears and forced a smile. "Ha, what's wrong with me! Why do I always take advantage of you when you're drunk! I'm a gentleman, I would never take advantage of someone in a vulnerable state!"
As she spoke, she tried to put the two silver rings away safely.
However, just then, Nie Xin turned over again, and by sheer coincidence, his hand struck her, knocking the ring from her hand onto the bed.
Then he delivered a precise slap, pinning the ring down.
"Hmm... I touched something..." he mumbled. "Boss lady, gentlemen, I've found a treasure... Haha, let's keep drinking, keep drinking..."
"Hey, Uncle!" Sang Qing's eyes widened, and she was about to grab it.
Who knew that Nie Xin would hold the ring in his hand, feel it from left to right, and then, with the precision of turning gears, slip the ring onto his ring finger!
"Ouch, what is this thing... I'm hooked up..."
Sang Qing held her breath, not daring to speak, a hint of suspicion flashing in her eyes.
What's wrong with this person? Is he drunk or not?
