"Are you all dead?" Jiang Yao yelled at the moving workers around her. "Did I pay you so you could just stand here and watch the show? Come and help me!"
However, Gu Mang gave them a sharp look, and the workers exchanged glances, not daring to step forward.
Jiang Yao's heart was pounding in her throat.
She stared intently at the man before her, feeling an increasingly powerful sense of oppression, and suddenly felt a chill run down her spine.
"Jiang... Jiang Can!" she stammered, her voice trembling with fear. "Aren't you going to do anything about your husband?! I'm telling you, if he dares to hurt me today, I'll call the police! I'll have him arrested and sent to jail again!"
Gu Mang suddenly increased the force in his hand, his cold smile sending chills down one's spine.
Jiang Yao cried out in pain, her legs buckled, and she knelt before him.
"A respectable young lady from the Jiang family, yet she keeps uttering such vulgarities. Her mouth is so foul!" Gu Mang sneered. "What, has the Jiang family fallen so low that they can't even afford to buy you toothpaste?"
After saying that, he suddenly flung Jiang Yao away, and she crashed heavily into the wall!
Jiang Can quickly grabbed him and gently shook her head.
Gu Mang took a deep breath.
He had never liked to fight with women, but Jiang Yao's repeated provocations forced him to cross the line. He figured that since he was already resorting to violence, he might as well go all the way and not let this vicious woman get away with it today.
But Jiang Can clung tightly to his arm, and the worry and pleading in her eyes softened his heart.
He knew that Jiang Can wasn't pleading for Jiang Yao, but for him.
She was worried that if he really hurt Jiang Yao, he would be arrested by the police and go to jail.
Gu Mang smiled gently, gave her a reassuring look, and then embraced her petite body.
“My wife has never told me who she is.” He said coldly, enunciating each word clearly, “But I don’t care who she is, I only recognize her as my wife, the woman I will protect for the rest of my life.”
"If anyone dares to bully her, they'll take me down first!"

Jiang Can silently followed Gu Mang back to their home.
Jiang Yao gained no advantage and, intimidated by Gu Mang's imposing presence, had no choice but to leave dejectedly with her entourage. Gu Mang carried back the furniture that had been thrown out one by one, spending the entire afternoon tidying up and restoring the house to its original state.
He didn't let Jiang Can move an inch; he did all the heavy lifting.
Jiang Can's eyes welled up with tears. Thinking of Jiang Yao exposing her in front of Gu Mang, and then of his words afterward, she was overwhelmed with emotion, and tears suddenly welled up in her eyes.
"What's wrong with you?" A deep male voice suddenly came from beside me. "Open the door and come in."
Jiang Can's heart trembled violently. Not daring to let him see her cry, she lowered her head and took out the key.
As soon as he entered the door, she rushed to get him slippers to change into.
Without even taking a sip of water, he quickly took out meat and vegetables from the refrigerator and went into the kitchen to get busy.
Gu Mang stared blankly at the busy figure of the young woman, and suddenly felt a pang of heartache. He gently walked to the kitchen door and smiled at her, "It's so late, don't cook, how about we go out to eat?"
Jiang Can paused, glanced at him timidly, and then quickly lowered her head.
"I...I'll be done soon." Her voice was so soft it was almost inaudible. "It's all your favorite food, so it's definitely better than what you get outside. Can you wait a little longer?"
After saying that, she felt it wasn't appropriate, so she looked up at him again. "Are you hungry? I'm sorry... I made you work all afternoon. Hmm, if you want to go out to eat, let's go out! How about the Emperor Hotel again?"
Gu Mang stared at her for a long time, his lips moved, and he chuckled softly, "The Emperor Hotel is very expensive. Do you have that much money?"
