You Huan sat in the spacious and luxurious dressing room. Her skin was already fair, but under the warm white light of the dressing table, it looked even more like porcelain.
Even without makeup, her exquisitely beautiful features are flawless. A sense of calm and ease shines through her eyes and brows, and the way she plays with her eyebrow pencil carries a touch of allure and languor.
Her agent printed out her schedule and placed it on the table.
"We're already in talks for several scripts, all big productions with renowned directors. I think Tang Yilan's script is perfect for you; it continues her usual artistic style. Besides, it's time for you to change your approach; going down the artistic route is a great choice!"
"Before the script is finalized, you need to increase your exposure. Here are a few variety shows for you to choose from..."
"Oh, and one more thing." The agent's eyes lit up. "Lu's film and television city project has already started, and now many artists are eyeing the position of spokesperson for the film and television city... You need to hurry up too, do you hear me?"
"Hmm?" You Huan raised an eyebrow upon hearing this. "Hold on to what?"
"Hurry up and get a spokesperson!"
The agent was getting anxious. This lady has had this face since her debut—to put it nicely, she's indifferent; to put it bluntly, she's half-dead.
But resources keep coming to him, and You Huan is never short of good roles to play.
This world is so unfair; there are always people who are fed by God.
Jackie, the agent, has managed many A-list stars, but You Huan is definitely the most difficult artist he has ever managed.
He sighed, sat down in front of her, and earnestly advised her:
"Huanhuan, baby, your grandma! You should pay more attention to your own affairs! Do you know how many female celebrities have already started to take action for this endorsement deal?"
"Why are you so nervous?" You Huan remained calm. "What's mine will come to me, and what's not mine, I can't take it even if I try!"
Jackie's nose was practically steaming. "If you grab it, you still have a chance. If you don't, you have absolutely no chance!"
You Huan smiled faintly. Compared to being a spokesperson, she had more important things to do.
"Jackie, there's something I need to make clear to you."
"What?"
"You're not allowed to bring up that incident from two years ago!"
Jackie was stunned and speechless for a moment.
Believe it or not, he actually had that plan. Currently, You Huan has no works or public exposure, and if he wants to attract attention overnight, the eldest son of the Huo family is the best stepping stone.
Although this method is somewhat risky.
But he didn't expect You Huan to refuse so decisively.
"Huanhuan, you've been in this industry for so long, don't you understand how things work out in the entertainment world?"
"I understand, but I don't want to."
You Huan crossed her arms over her chest and slightly raised her chin.
A hint of stubbornness flashed in her crystal-clear eyes, and her slightly parted lips and perfect jawline exuded a different kind of untamed beauty.
“Jackie, what happened two years ago was purely accidental. I’ve never stooped to using such methods to promote myself. You’ve mentored me for so long; you should know my temperament!”
"this……"
"Besides, Sister Can always tells her artists to cherish their reputations." You Huan looked at him. "Necessary hype is fine, but using her son for hype? How much guts do you have? Don't drag me down with you!"
"I..." Jackie was speechless after being rebuked, and could only let out a heavy sigh.
You Huan curled her lips into a charming smile, swayed her slender waist, and went back to the lounge.
She was alone in the large lounge. She took out a fountain pen from her bag and gently stroked it. Her fingertips touched the cool pen body, as if touching the softest part of her heart.
A genuine smile appeared on her bright and beautiful face.
She imagined the man writing with that pen, his beautiful, slender fingers with distinct knuckles, the characters he wrote powerful and vigorous.
His handwriting must be just like him—refined and elegant.
You Huan's cheeks flushed as she lay on the bed, pounding the bed with her little hands. She couldn't help but giggle when she thought of the person she liked.
Just then, the phone rang.
You Huan answered the phone as soon as she saw the number, eagerly asking, "How is it?"
“Sister Huan,” the assistant on the other end stammered, “that… he is indeed in Yangcheng.”
You were overjoyed, and your whole being seemed to float away.
However, the assistant's next sentence brought her straight down from her pedestal.
"But... he seems to have a girlfriend."
"What?!"
"That woman works at Lu's company, in the film studio project team. She's an intern!"

Jiang Mianmian had been busy all morning and finally managed to have a sip of water to catch her breath.
But before she could even recover for a few minutes, a colleague rushed over to tell her:
"Xiao Jiang, your mother is arguing with someone downstairs!"
"What?"
Jiang Mianmian almost choked.
Lu Ran hurriedly came over and patted her on the back, whispering, "Sister, you go down and handle it. I'll keep an eye on things here."
"Um!"
“It shouldn’t be your aunt,” Lu Ran said, looking at her. “It’s probably Aunt Su. Those people at the front desk are all snobs. Don’t argue with them after you go down. Just bear with it. We’ll settle the score later!”
Jiang Mianmian smiled at her and nodded.
She rushed downstairs and, sure enough, saw Su Aiqian being stopped there.
It wasn't the receptionist, but Xiao Dong, Xiao Xu, and a few others!
In fact, Su Ai had been planning to leave Yangcheng recently. Firstly, she was worried about her shops and houses back in her hometown, and secondly, her illness seemed to be getting worse, and she was afraid that if she stayed any longer, her secret would be exposed.
