Sophia arrived at the coffee shop as promised and immediately spotted the middle-aged woman wearing a fisherman's hat by the window.
She walked over gently, smiling sweetly, "Hello. Are you...Teacher Xu Wei?"
Xu Wei looked up, her face extremely haggard.
Sophia had someone bring her a cup of hot milk to replace the strong coffee in front of Xu Wei.
"Teacher Xu, at your age, you shouldn't drink such strong coffee. You must take good care of your health!"
"Thank you..." Xu Wei said weakly.
"What can I do for you?"
Xu Wei raised her eyes.
She learned from others that Sophia is now Bai Ruogu's sweetheart, and despite being divorced with a child, she still manages to keep Bai Ruogu firmly in her grasp.
Therefore, she deduced that this Sophia must have something special about her, and as long as she was willing to help, taking down that little brat Song Wan would be a piece of cake!
“I…” Xu Wei licked her lips, “I really don’t know how to start this.”
Sophia paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "Teacher Xu, you are Ruogu's mentor. Ruogu will remember this teacher-student relationship for the rest of her life, and so will I. We all respect you very much, so please feel free to ask if you need anything."
“I have been forced to resign from the international kindergarten.” Xu Wei held her forehead, her brows furrowed.
Sophia was taken aback, but she had heard about what had happened recently. Xu Wei had lost to Song Wan in the selection of outstanding teachers.
Presumably, the proud and arrogant Xu Wei would not be able to swallow this insult.
But this is for the best...
Sophia rolled her eyes; perhaps this was something she could use.
"Teacher Xu, don't worry." She smiled and patted Xu Wei's hand. "Just treat me like your daughter. If you have any grievances, just tell me. As long as I can help, I will do my best to seek justice for Teacher Xu!"

On a clear evening, Lin Zhaojiang brought Song Wan to the Lixing Hotel.
Compared to other hotels under the Fok Group, Star Hotels may not appear as opulent, but this mountainside hotel possesses its own unique charm. Its distance from the hustle and bustle of the city center gives it a secluded, tranquil beauty.
The hotel's back garden was filled with Phalaenopsis orchids. When Song Wan saw that small courtyard, her heart felt as if it had been struck a heavy blow, as if she had been transported back to that strange dream. In that dream, she had also walked into a place full of Phalaenopsis orchids.
"What, don't you like it here?" Lin Zhaojiang smiled.
“No…” Song Wan said softly, “I really like it, and I don’t know why… it feels very familiar.”
Lin Zhaojiang's eyes widened, and he looked at her quietly. "Let's go upstairs."
Song Wan nodded in agreement and followed behind him. The two took the sightseeing elevator directly to the revolving restaurant on the top floor, which was the highest point of the hotel. It was surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, and standing by the windows, the scenery of the mountainside was breathtaking. The lights of thousands of homes and the stars in the sky complemented each other, making it seem unreal.
Song Wan quickly put the strange dream out of her mind and admired the beautiful scenery in front of her with delight.
"This place is so beautiful, it feels like I could reach out and touch the stars!"
Lin Zhaojiang kept looking at her, his eyes full of doting affection.
He had her favorite dishes prepared for her.
The floor-to-ceiling windows are decorated with candlelight, red wine, and delicious food, while the view outside is breathtaking.
A warm feeling welled up in Song Wan's heart.
She was grateful for everything the man had meticulously planned, and for always being there for her when she needed him.
She raised her glass, insisting on toasting him. Lin Zhaojiang smiled, then his eyes suddenly welled up with tears.
She used to not drink, but when she drank with him, she would hold her glass like this, afraid that he would be unhappy because she couldn't drink.
She used to drink with him reluctantly, but now...
Song Wan choked as soon as she took a sip. The wine seemed to spread across her cheeks, turning her delicate face a rosy red.
Lin Zhaojiang laughed, walked over and gently patted her back, tenderly wiping away the wine stains from the corner of her mouth.
“Mr. Lin…” Song Wan carefully kept a distance from him.
Lin Zhaojiang didn't say anything, but instead took her hand and led her to the French windows.
Song Wan looked at him somewhat blankly, only to see him clap his hands, and suddenly thousands of fireworks burst open in the deep blue night sky, tiny and fragmented like stars falling to earth.
The fireworks changed colors and shapes, like a dream.
Song Wan was stunned, her heart pounding restlessly.
"Do you like it?" Lin Zhaojiang's deep, husky voice was magnetic. "Close your eyes first."
"Um?"
He laughed and said, "I'll pluck the stars from the sky."
Then the last firework streaked across the sky and disappeared into the night, and everything returned to calm.
Song Wan smiled and closed her eyes as he instructed. She felt the man hold her small hand; his warm palm was slightly cool, as if something had landed in her hand...
Song Wan was surprised and suddenly opened her eyes. There really was a star in her hand!
"this……"
This is a necklace with a pendant made of diamonds cut into the shape of stars. Every cut is flawless, and every angle reflects colorful light.
"Let me put it on for you," Lin Zhaojiang said gently.
"No, this is too valuable, I..."
"Take it." The man's gaze was gentle. "Besides this, there's something else I want to tell you."
Song Wan lowered her head, her ears turning bright red, her face as if she had a fever.
