Chapter 541 This is something Sang Qing must do.

"Oh, so this is the third young master of the Huo family?"

A middle-aged man looked at the video on his phone, and after hearing Huo Zhixing's last words, "Are you bullying our Yin family because we have no one left?", a meaningful smile appeared on his face.

Yin Ruohong poured himself a cup of tea, his eyes fixed on the chessboard, studying his next move.

"I'm talking to you, what are you looking at in chess?"

Yin Ruohong raised his hand and placed his piece, "I'll eat!"

The man's eyes widened.

"You, you, you..."

"You're distracted from playing chess and instead you're studying my son-in-law?"

The man gave him a disdainful look.

Just like how we used to despise the enemy on the battlefield.

Yin Ruohong smiled and enjoyed the tea and snacks the man had brought. She also told him to bring a few more medical books next time he came to keep him entertained.

This is a detached courtyard house with artificial hills and strange rocks, birds singing and flowers blooming. If you didn't see the layers of guards inside and outside the courtyard, it would be hard to imagine that this is part of the Nanyang Prison.

The man playing chess with Yin Ruohong was none other than the renowned General Nie Zhen.

Yin Ruohong was temporarily detained in Nanyang Prison, awaiting his court appearance. Nie Zhen, however, used his connections to arrange for him to stay in this idyllic place, and often visited him. The two old brothers drank tea, chatted, and played chess, living a carefree and leisurely life.

When Jiang Can video-chatted with him, she was amazed: "Dad, I didn't know prisons had VIP rooms?"

Yin Ruohong chuckled softly, "What, when that kid Huo Zhixing lied to you before, didn't he tell you what it looked like inside?"

Jiang Can pouted and hung up the video call.

Huo Zhixing had never been inside before, so how would he know there were VIP privileges inside!

"Hey, what are you spacing out for?" Nie Zhen waved his hand in front of Yin Ruohong's eyes.

Yin Ruohong snapped out of her daze, packed up the chessboard, and stopped playing.

Nie Zhen didn't care about playing chess; his eyes were glued to his phone, repeatedly watching the scene of Huo Zhixing helping his mother-in-law out of a predicament that day.

"Brother, you've really lucked out with this son-in-law who married into your family. He's been really good to you!"

"What do you mean, 'son-in-law who lives with the family'!" Yin Ruohong glared. "It's my daughter who married into the Huo family, don't talk nonsense!"

Nie Zhen glanced at him. "Oh, you're quite protective of him now? Didn't you always look down on him before?"

I don't like the look of you at all!

"you……"

"My son-in-law is the best in the world!" Yin Ruohong glanced at him sideways. "If you dare to say anything more out of line, I'll stab you!"

The two old rascals, neither willing to back down, soon found themselves in a chaotic mess in the "VIP cell."

When Nie Xin arrived and saw this scene, she was dumbfounded.

He immediately stepped forward and separated the two.

"Dad, Uncle! What are you two doing?"

"It's nothing, it's nothing!" The two of them smiled at him simultaneously. "Just stretch your muscles!"

Nie Xin was speechless: "You two are getting old, even a little activity can cause you to break a bone. What if something happens to either of you...?"

Yin Ruohong and Nie Zhen rolled their eyes at the same time.

“Dad, Uncle,” Nie Xin said, getting back to the point, “I’m here today to discuss something with you.”

Upon hearing this, Nie Zhen dropped his joking expression, and with a single, sharp glance, all the guards around him left.

"The trial is scheduled for the end of next month, and His Majesty the King and Queen will both be present in court."

Yin Ruohong smiled and nodded; he had expected this.

It just took quite a long time.

It seems that Jiamin bought herself time, intending to use this extra month to continue injecting Helin Yue with the same medication, ensuring she would never regain consciousness...

“Nie Xin,” Yin Ruohong looked at him and asked in a low voice, “who is treating His Highness Yue now?”

“It’s the same medical team we used to have,” Nie Xin said. “Uncle, as soon as you entered this prison, Queen Jiamin recalled the old medical team.”

Yin Ruohong's judgment was correct, and the drug injected into He Linyue was the crux of the illness!

"Have Sang Qing find a way to get the medicine from that medical team!"

“Uncle, this…” Nie Xin frowned; he didn’t want Sang Qing to get involved.

He would rather take the risk himself.

“Sang Qing must do this,” Yin Ruohong said firmly.

"Why?"

“Because…” Yin Ruohong hesitated, then chuckled, “Go to Xiao Cheng’s place first and get a report. Then Can Can and Zhi Xing will tell you a story. After you hear it, you’ll understand why Sang Qing did all this!”

Nie Xin looked bewildered, and Nie Zhen didn't understand either. The father and son looked at each other, staring at each other blankly.

"Alright, alright, if your uncle says so, then do it!" Nie Zhen nudged him. "You know perfectly well that the old man loves to play mysterious, and he's always up to no good..."

"What did you say, you old geezer?!"

"I'm telling you, you're a pufferfish!"

"Nie Zhen!!"

So Nie Xin began a new round of efforts to break up the fight.

...

That day, Sang Qing was about to go to the yard to water the flowers when she saw several people walking towards her from afar.

Her heart tightened.

The western palace was heavily guarded, and people were not supposed to enter or leave freely, but those few people...

Sang Qing put down the basin of water and went straight to meet them.

Leading the group was Prince Hejin, who smiled slightly at Sang Qing, his eyes seemingly holding a hidden message.

How is Aunt?

Sang Qing paused, then answered softly, "It's the same as always. Although there's no danger to my life, I feel even worse."

"This is the medical team that treated her before," He Jin introduced, then whispered and emphasized the last few words: "It was arranged by my aunt!"
