“Brother Jingnan!” Ning Meng said again, “I’ve never been on a train for so long before! Sigh, I’m all alone here, and no one’s been with me the whole way… It’s quite lonely!”
Pei Nian sneered, then turned to look at Huo Jingnan with a meaningful gaze.
"Brother Jingnan," Ning Meng continued, "the seat next to me seems to be empty! But... I'm not used to sitting next to others, could I switch seats with my sister-in-law?"
“Sister-in-law,” she said with a smile, looking at Pei Nian, “your seat is by the window, and I also want to see the scenery outside. Shall we switch?”
"Xiao Meng, what are you saying?" Huo Jingnan looked at her. "You switched places with Niannian, are you expecting her to sit next to someone else?"
"So what? It's not like it's your first time taking the train." Ning Meng pouted. "Brother Jingnan, it's just a seat. You're not that petty, are you? Besides, I'm really not used to it..."
Pei Nian's hands were in her coat pockets, her fists clenched tightly. She felt a fire burning in her chest, but her reason held it back, preventing it from exploding.
However, at that moment, a large hand gently rested on her shoulder, and she was pulled to her feet before she could react.
"Okay, let's change it." Huo Jingnan looked at Pei Nian, his gentle eyes filled with a reassuring strength.
Ning Meng's face lit up with joy, but then she saw Huo Jingnan waving to call over a flight attendant.
"This young lady doesn't like sitting close to others, so let's give her our seats."
"Brother Jingnan?"
"Are there any business class tickets left?" Huo Jingnan asked.
The flight attendant nodded respectfully.
“We’ll upgrade to business class.” Huo Jingnan smiled and looked at Pei Nian. “For a six-hour flight, my wife will be more comfortable lying down!”
(I anticipated that some people might nitpick about the business class, so please check the relevant information yourself. High-speed trains do have business class seats, they do have business class seats, they do have business class seats! Also, given my country's infrastructure capabilities, I think high-speed trains can easily access mountainous areas; they probably already are. The six-hour journey is fictional. Any other issues can be pointed out as long as you don't nitpick. If you insist on nitpicking, please refrain from commenting, thank you!)
