Chapter 31: Treating Hurt Gentlely

Before Wen Wan could finish her words, she was interrupted by Liang Shaoyuan.

"I understand, I understand. It's just an underground relationship. Don't worry, I will definitely keep it a secret for you. Don't worry, sister-in-law."

"No, we really are not, you misunderstood!" Wen Wan was speechless after listening to his words, but still insisted on explaining.

Unexpectedly, the other party immediately determined that they were having an underground relationship and refused to listen to any explanation.

Zhou Ziheng looked at her embarrassed look, and instead of helping her explain, he chuckled.

"Why don't you explain? And you're still laughing!" Wen Wan glared at Zhou Ziheng reproachfully.

"Oh, no need to explain. I understand the interests of young couples. Don't worry about my mouth. I will definitely keep it secret."

Zhou Ziheng finally spoke up at this time, introducing the two to each other, "Brother Shaoyuan, this is my student, Wen Wan, a contestant on 'Perfect Idol'."

"Wen Wan, this is my friend, Liang Shaoyuan, a director."

After Zhou Ziheng finished speaking, Liang Shaoyuan looked at him as if he were a beast. Needless to say, he must have been thinking, how could this man not even let his own students go.

Wen Wan held her forehead helplessly. The more she explained, the more confusing it became. If she had known this earlier, she would have just kept quiet.

"Sister-in-law, this is my son, Liang Dong." Liang Shaoyuan finally remembered his son.

Then he lowered his head and said to Liang Dong, "Son, this is your uncle Ziheng's girlfriend, call her aunt."

The little boy looked at Wen Wan, and instead of saying hello, he playfully tried to lift her skirt. Fortunately, she was quick enough to push it down.

She was so frightened that her face turned pale. Zhou Ziheng frowned as he watched this scene, feeling a little dissatisfied.

Liang Shaoyuan looked at what his son had done and quickly apologized to Wen Wan. Wen Wan didn't intend to argue with the child. Besides, Liang Shaoyuan was Zhou Ziheng's friend. It wouldn't be a big deal if they had a falling out. In the end, she just apologized and didn't take it to heart.

Liang Shaoyuan then said something to Zhou Ziheng and took his people to the next room to eat.

After Wen Wan saw the person leave, she said with some complaints: "You didn't know to explain it earlier. Now it's all right."

"I told you, what can I do if he doesn't believe me?" Zhou Ziheng said lightly. After sitting down again, he looked at the red bottom of the pot in front of him and still had a headache.

"You've ruined my reputation! Pay me compensation!" Wen Wan pretended to be angry and slammed the table.

Zhou Ziheng smiled and didn't respond. After a while, Wen Wan continued.

"Do you have a good relationship with Director Liang?"

Zhou Ziheng nodded. "Yes, we've worked together many times. I worked with him on my first movie right after my debut. He's a nice guy and he takes good care of me."

"Is that so?" Wen Wan nodded in understanding.

"His fortune seems a little strange lately."

After hearing her words, Zhou Ziheng paused and asked, "What do you mean?"

"I can't really explain it now. After all, we only met once. Anyway, it's so strange. He should have a big disaster and maybe even lose his life." Wen Wan stuffed a piece of meat into her mouth and slowly explained to him.

Zhou Ziheng couldn't help but frown, "Is it so serious?"

Wen Wan nodded. "As I said before, some things have causes and consequences. If he can resolve the problem himself, he will get through it safely."

"But if he is your friend, I will help him calculate and remind him if we meet again later."

After hearing Wen Wan's words, Zhou Ziheng said very solemnly, "Thank you."

Wen Wan smiled brightly, "Oh, no need to thank me, you're my friend just because you treated me to a meal, and I'll be relying on you for my game draws in the future."

"I thought you didn't have many friends. When I first met you, you seemed so aloof, but after getting to know you, I don't think that's the case anymore."

Listening to Wen Wan's words, he suddenly pondered for a while, and finally said, "People like me, getting too close to others will cause trouble for others."

"I understand. It would be scary to always see things that don't belong to this world, right?" Wen Wan expressed her understanding and could empathize with him to some extent.

When she first started working in this field as a child, she would be scared to tears at first when she saw those green-faced, fang-toothed ghosts, but she got used to it later.

Zhou Ziheng nodded gently. "When I was little, I would always be scared and cry. I would tell my friends, but they couldn't see me and would call me weird. Over time, I got used to being alone. I don't want to cause trouble to others. In fact, I really hate those inexplicable ghosts."

"But you still speak up for Jingyi and ask me to help her."

"You really are a very gentle person, but you may not realize it yourself. However, it is really precious. Even if you are hurt by them, you still treat them gently."

"Don't be afraid. Just carry the talisman with you. No ghost will hurt you at night. Don't worry about that. If any ghost scares you, just call me and I will deal with them for you." Wen Wan said with a smile.

After hearing Wen Wan's words, Zhou Ziheng's heart seemed to suddenly calm down, as if he had taken a tranquilizer, and his heart was suddenly filled with a sense of security.

Then he said lightly: "Thank you."

Wen Wan said with a playful smile: "Hey, don't always say thank you, friends should help each other, from now on I will help you catch ghosts and you help me draw the lottery, it's just right that we complement each other."

At this moment, the door suddenly opened. Wen Wan turned her head and saw a delicate little girl who looked to be about six or seven years old.

"Eh? Little boy, how did you get here?"

The child lay timidly against the door frame and didn't say a word.
