"What about your father?" Wen Wan asked her, tilting her head slightly.
The little girl curled her lips and continued, "Dad doesn't believe me. I can clearly see Mom, but Dad doesn't believe me."
Wen Wan felt even more dizzy after hearing this. She looked at Zhou Ziheng who was sitting opposite her and saw that he was staring at the little girl intently, as if he was thinking about something.
"What's wrong?" Wen Wan asked him puzzledly.
Zhou Ziheng shook his head and then said, "Do you think she looks like anyone?"
Before Wen Wan could take a closer look, she heard a commotion outside the private room, as if someone was arguing.
Faintly, I could hear words like "child" and "lost".
Wen Wan and the other girl looked at each other, then quickly picked up the little girl in their arms and went outside.
Unexpectedly, as soon as I opened the door, I saw Liang Shaoyuan. He was very emotional, his face was red and his neck was thick with anger.
As soon as the little girl in his arms saw him, she shrank back into Wen Wan's arms, then looked at him timidly and called out "Dad".
Liang Shaoyuan was extremely anxious after losing his child. When he saw the little person in Wen Wan's arms, he was so angry that he was smoking. He quickly took the person away from Wen Wan's arms. As soon as he put the person on the ground, he slapped the child's butt.
The child cried out in pain. Wen Wan stepped forward to stop him and said, "Director Liang, calm down. How can you hit a child?"
Liang Shaoyuan was very angry at the moment and would not listen at all. He waved his hands and was about to continue beating people. Wen Wan had no choice but to reach out and grab Liang Shaoyuan's wrist.
Liang Shaoyuan subconsciously wanted to break free, but although Wen Wan looked weak, the strength in her hands was surprisingly great, like a thousand-pound weight, so heavy that he couldn't break free at all.
Wen Wan saw that the man had almost calmed down, so she let go of his hand, pulled the little girl over and protected her behind her, frowning and saying, "If you have something to say, talk it over nicely. Don't hit the child."
Zhou Ziheng also interrupted at this time, "Brother Shaoyuan, what is going on?"
Liang Shaoyuan helplessly wiped the sweat from his head, and then explained: "I'm sorry to have embarrassed you, brother and sister-in-law, but this is my daughter, Liang Tian."
"We were having dinner nearby and were almost done when she and her brother started arguing over a piece of meat. I said a few words to her, and she was gone in the blink of an eye."
"Dad is partial. Why should I give in to my brother in everything? I love to eat too, but you insist on making me give in to him!" Although it was just childish talk, the grievance in his tone was really pitiful.
Wen Wan understood everything now. She had thought this was something that only appeared in novels, but she had never expected it to happen in real life. "Director Liang, look how wronged the child is. There's only one piece left. Why not just order another plate? Besides, no one says that an older sister must give in to her younger brother."
"Everyone is an independent individual, and everyone is equal. The child will definitely feel wronged if you do this." Seeing that the child's tears were getting harder and harder, Wen Wan quickly took out a tissue and squatted down to wipe the child's tears.
Liang Shaoyuan was suddenly embarrassed by her sharp words and didn't know how to respond.
It really hit the nail on the head. Since the birth of his youngest son after his remarriage, he has indeed cared less about his daughter. Moreover, his youngest son has been spoiled by the couple. He will make a fuss if he doesn't get what he wants. Over time, he always gives in to him. He didn't expect his daughter to be so aggrieved.
Because my daughter has always been very sensible, I would give in whenever I asked her to. But who would have thought that this time she was unwilling to give in.
After listening to this, Zhou Ziheng simply called the waiter over and said, "Send a few plates of meat to the private room over there, and put it on my bill later."
Then he said to Liang Shaoyuan, "Brother Shaoyuan, just think of it as me treating my niece to a meal."
Wen Wan originally thought that Zhou Ziheng would give Liang Shaoyuan a way out. After all, they were friends, and it would be embarrassing if they had a falling out.
Who knew Zhou Ziheng was so tough, making the person he confronted even more embarrassed. Seeing Liang Shaoyuan's deflated look, he couldn't help but give Zhou Ziheng a thumbs up. It seemed that he also didn't like this kind of thing.
"Tiantian, tell us if there's anything you want to eat, and let your uncle Ziheng treat you. Don't cry, you won't be pretty if you keep crying." Then he gently wiped the tears from the person's face.
Liang Shaoyuan was so embarrassed that he didn't know what to say. Just then, a woman in gorgeous clothes walked over.
"Lao Liang, what's going on?"
From the tone of her voice, one can roughly guess that this should be Liang Tian’s stepmother.
Then, when she saw Liang Tian, a trace of anger flashed across her face, and then she said impatiently: "You stupid girl, you just run around and cause trouble for me and your father."
As he was about to take the person back from Wen Wan, Liang Tian unexpectedly stood up and hid behind Wen Wan in fear, holding her clothes tightly with her little hands.
She didn't expect Liang Tian to avoid her. A trace of surprise flashed across her face, but it was only for a moment. She immediately changed into the look of a good wife and mother and said, "Tiantian, come back soon. Mom was too anxious just now. I didn't mean to scold you. Please don't be angry, okay?"
Wen Wan, who was watching from the side, exclaimed, "Wow, I've really seen the master of face-changing today."
Liang Shaoyuan called the man back with a stern face. Liang Tian was a little scared and quickly returned to his father obediently.
"I'm sorry, my dear brothers and sisters, I made you laugh."
"This is my wife, Miao Xian." Liang Shaoyuan said with a forced smile.
Zhou Ziheng didn't say anything, just nodded slightly as a greeting.
Wen Wan took advantage of the fact that everyone was there and carefully looked at the fortunes of the people in front of her. It was indeed not good. She secretly guessed that Liang Shaoyuan's disaster was probably related to his wife. If he couldn't survive this disaster safely, he would be in great danger.
