"Hahaha, look at this! This fox is so stupid! It can't even climb out of the tank!"
"Don't books say foxes are very cunning? How could this one be so dumb?"
"Isn't everything written in the book true? It even says foxes have nine tails. Why does it only have one?"
Three children, aged seven or eight, with innocent yet evil smiles on their faces, stood in front of a big dye vat and watched the show.
"Ah~Ah~Ah!" A little fox that looked young and even a little thin was trapped in a dye vat full of pink water.
It used its two front paws to grab the edge of the dye vat, trying to use it to climb out of the vat, but it slipped and fell back into the vat.
But it did not give up. Instead, it kept trying again and again. It was unknown how many times it tried before it finally succeeded.
It clung to the edge of the tank with all its might and leaped out with all its strength. Just when it was about to jump out successfully, several children in front of it suddenly stretched out their hands.
With a "pop" sound, the little fox was slapped back into the vat from mid-air. The pink water in the dye vat splashed out in a circle due to the huge impact force.
"Ahhh!" The little fox seemed to be frightened by this sudden change. It kept calling out with its mouth open, as if it was aggrieved and sad. Tears seemed to well up in its bright eyes.
But this did not arouse the sympathy of the culprits, but made them laugh non-stop, "Hahahaha!"
The little fox's entire body was submerged in the pink water, with only its head exposed above the water. It didn't seem to understand why it was being treated like this, and looked so aggrieved and pitiful.
"How stupid!" a little kid cursed with disgust on his face.
The slightly taller child on the left nodded in agreement. "Stupid fox, it's nothing like what's in the book. It's completely boring! Not fun!"
The child on the right suggested seriously, "The book says a fox has as many lives as it has tails. Why don't we throw it off the building and try it?"
Children are children at heart. They do what they are told immediately. After the three of them reached a consensus, they rushed to catch the little fox in the tank.
The little fox seemed to understand what they were saying. It struggled frantically, screaming miserably, "Ah~Ah~Ah!!"
But this couldn't stop the three kids from committing violence. They seemed to have no idea what their actions meant and only wanted to do whatever made them happy.
The little fox kept struggling, but in the end he couldn't get past them and was grabbed by the fur and pulled out of the tank.
In fact, foxes are carnivorous canines. Logically, they will become aggressive when they encounter danger.
But this poor little fox in front of him, no matter how he was bullied and abused, had no intention of attacking others. He just kept exchanging, hoping to be spared.
But the three children showed no intention of stopping. The little fox couldn't help feeling a little desperate, and his bright eyes dimmed unconsciously.
But at this moment, a voice as cold as jade and as sharp as the wind suddenly sounded, "What are you doing?"
The three children were caught doing something bad, but they didn't show any fear at all. They turned around calmly and looked at the newcomer, and answered rationally and confidently: "What else can we do? Of course, we can play!"
The visitor was dressed in a green robe, his hair tied up with a bamboo hairpin. He had fair skin and a sharp-edged face. He had sharp eyebrows, bright eyes, a handsome appearance, and an outstanding figure.
"Play?" He repeated with an intriguing expression, a hint of anger mingling with his cold voice, "You call teasing play?"
The three children jerked at the same time, as if frightened. However, the leading child still held his head high and said stubbornly, "How can teasing not be a joke?"
"It's not a living person, it's just a fox, just a toy. Wasn't it born to entertain us? So is it wrong for us to tease it for fun?"
The man in blue narrowed his eyes slightly, looking at the three innocent yet evil children in front of him, and couldn't help but laugh at their remarks.
He sneered angrily and lectured, "People always say 'man is born good'. You are still young, but your minds are so vicious. It's incredible."
"I hope you can understand that 'all are equal throughout life'. Every race has its own significance in surviving in this world. Humans are never superior to any other race!"
He paused as he spoke, as if he felt his words were too profound and worried the children wouldn't understand. He changed his approach and gave an example, "If you were thrown into this water tank and toyed with and abused by others, wouldn't you feel pain?"
The leading child rolled his eyes at him, shrugged disapprovingly and said, "We are human, it's an animal!"
"We're stronger than it, so we can toy with it! If we have to blame someone, we should blame it for being weak. Why should we blame us for bullying it? If it could beat us, how could we possibly bully it?"
The man in green lazily raised his eyelids, a mocking smile flickering across his lips as he said, "What a joke! Do you really think it can't beat you?"
For a pure-blooded nine-tailed fox, although still young and underage, it is not difficult for it to kill three children of seven or eight years old.
As for why they didn't take action... most likely it was because they were too young, and it was their first time seeing humans, so they didn't know their true strength and were subconsciously afraid. Of course, there was also the possibility that they were kind by nature and didn't want to have to deal with them.
The leading child was already unhappy because his interest was suddenly interrupted, and then he was inexplicably lectured, which made him even more dissatisfied. He shouted back with all his patience: "You are the joke!"
"My parents have always said that these animals are just toys! Eat what you should eat, play with what you should play with! I didn't kill it, so eating its meat is already very good! Haven't you ever eaten chicken, duck, fish, and meat in your life?! If you say that, isn't eating meat also abuse?!"
When the man in blue heard this, he laughed instead of getting angry. However, his smile was not warm at all and was even a little scary.
"Eating meat and killing animals is just a cycle of cause and effect. If you had just killed it and eaten its meat, I wouldn't be so angry. At least your purpose was to satisfy your appetite, and its pain was only a moment."
"But you tortured it non-stop for fun. This behavior is even worse than killing it and eating its meat! You're so evil at such a young age, unwilling to admit your mistakes and only making excuses for yourself. You're truly stubborn!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he raised his hands towards the three people.
