The date for meeting the parents was finally set for Saturday. Now it is Thursday, and there are only two days left.
Qu Qingzhu was calm and composed, without much nervousness. On the contrary, Qin Yunie was filled with nervousness, like an ant on a hot pan, fidgeting.
Early in the morning, Qin Yunie and Qu Qingzhu enjoyed a warm breakfast together, then walked out of the house and got into the car.
Qin Yunie turned her head and looked at Qu Qingzhu with a questioning look in her eyes. She said softly, "Are we going to the bar?"
She knew that as the end of the year approached, bar affairs were always complicated and trivial. Now that she had started her vacation, she thought about accompanying him to the bar to handle work as before.
Qu Qingzhu turned her head, her gaze lingering on Qin Yunie's face for a long time, so long that Qin Yunie couldn't help but feel puzzled, secretly wondering if he was in a daze. She subconsciously lowered her head, carefully examining herself, even reaching out to gently touch her cheek, and asked worriedly, "Is there something on my face?"
Qu Qingzhu shook his head slightly, the corners of his mouth raised, outlining a gentle smile, looking at Qin Yunie and whispered: "Not going to the bar."
Qin Yunie was slightly startled, and subconsciously said "Ah", his eyes full of curiosity and confusion, and asked: "Then where are we going?"
The corners of Qu Qingzhu's mouth curved up even more, and the smile in his eyes grew more intense. He stared at Qin Yunie intently, and said softly but firmly, "Let's go on a date."
Qin Yunie narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze falling through the car window onto Qu Qingzhu, who was bathed in sunlight. The car window on his side was half open, and the golden sunlight fell on him like silk threads, as if outlining a golden outline for him, as if in a dream.
She blinked, a little bit unable to believe her ears, and whispered softly: "Date?"
Qu Qingzhu smiled and replied again, "Date."
However, it was noon, and the sun was blazing and dazzling. Qin Yunie looked up at Qu Qingzhu, frowning slightly, and said with a hint of concern and confusion: "But... didn't you say you had work this morning?"
Qu Qingzhu hummed softly, then said calmly, "It's been postponed."
Qin Yunie paused, and after a moment's silence, he reached out and gently tugged at the corner of Qu Qingzhu's clothes. His eyes revealed a hint of anticipation and negotiation, and he said, "Let's not go on a date today. How about we go to the mall?"
She was always thinking about meeting her parents on Saturday and didn't dare to slack off at all.
Although Qu Qingzhu had already prepared quite a few gifts, and each one was carefully selected by him and Qu Qingdai, Qin Yunie felt that in order to be absolutely sure and on the safe side, he still wanted to buy some more.
In her opinion, the more gifts the better, as this will better express her and Qu Qingzhu's intentions and leave a good impression on the parents.
Qu Qingzhu was slightly startled, then turned his head with a smile, looked at Qin Yunie with eyes full of doting, and said jokingly: "Why, you have been so tense since this morning, is it because of meeting the parents?"
Qin Yunie was shocked and thought to himself: He saw through this? I thought I had covered it up well.
She pursed her lips a little embarrassedly, said nothing, and just nodded silently, which was considered an admission.
Seeing this, Qu Qingzhu couldn't help but chuckle. The laughter was like the spring breeze, gentle and warm.
He reached out and gently ruffled Qin Yunie's soft hair, saying in a gentle and soothing tone, "You, I'm not nervous at all, why are you so nervous? Trust your boyfriend. The gifts I carefully selected are definitely enough, so you can rest assured. Let's not think about those troubles today, just go on a date and relax."
Qin Yunie felt a sense of relief after hearing Qu Qingzhu's words. After pondering for a moment, she felt that he made sense. The nervousness on her face gradually faded, replaced by a hint of excitement and anticipation. She looked at Qu Qingzhu with great interest, eagerly asking about the details of the date: "So where are we going on our date first? Tell me quickly."
Qu Qingzhu raised the corners of his mouth slightly, forming a charming arc, and said mysteriously: "It's a secret for now, you'll know when you get there."
Seeing this, Qin Yunie couldn't help but curl his lips helplessly, secretly complaining in his heart: This guy is still keeping us in suspense.
However, she also knew that Qu Qingzhu must want to give her a surprise, so she didn't ask any further questions.
"Okay, then I'll wait. I believe you anyway." Qin Yunie said as he adjusted the angle of the chair to make himself more comfortable.
Then she gently closed her eyes, ready to take a short rest, recharge her energy, and be in the best condition for the upcoming date.
When Qin Yunie slowly woke up, the familiar scenery outside the car window instantly came into her sight. She couldn't help but widen her eyes in surprise, her eyes full of confusion and surprise.
Then, she turned her head and looked at Qu Qingzhu beside her, and asked with a hint of curiosity and confusion in her voice: "Where is this?"
Outside the window, a gentle breeze blew, and the flowers, plants, and trees swayed gracefully in the wind. Not far away, bursts of cheerful screams could be heard faintly. Qin Yunie could hardly believe her eyes and ears, and secretly wondered in her heart: Could it be that Qu Qingzhu brought her to the amusement park?
Qu Qingzhu seemed to see through her thoughts. He glanced at her sideways, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, revealing a faint smile, and said softly, "Not yet."
