The next morning, Su Banxia slowly awoke, her head aching as if it were about to explode. Drowsily, she slowly opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was a pure white ceiling. Its familiar appearance made her realize vaguely that this was her room in her off-campus apartment.
She lay quietly in bed, and after a long while she finally pieced together some fragments of what happened last night.
Last night, after Qu Qingdai and the others left, she had intended to follow them back, but Shang Lu dragged her back without explanation and continued drinking for another hour. After three rounds of drinks, she was completely drunk... and then vaguely remembered being picked up by Lou Jiyun...
Suddenly, a horrible picture flashed through her mind like lightning. Last night, she seemed to... actually kissed Professor Lou!
As soon as this thought came to her mind, she felt her brain explode with a bang, and she couldn't help but wail in her heart: Can someone tell her that this isn't true? Ahhhh, how could she do such a thing? She actually took advantage of her own teacher! What's more, Lou Jiyun was like a brother who grew up with her!
In shock and panic, she suddenly threw back the quilt and took a quick look at her body.
Seeing that her clothes were intact and there were no ambiguous marks on her body, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
But when she walked to the door of the room with trepidation, the bathroom door behind her was suddenly opened.
Then, a deep and magnetic voice sounded behind her: "Why, want to run away?"
Su Banxia's body instantly froze in place, as if under a spell. Her heart sank, and after a moment, she slowly turned around, forcing an awkward smile and saying, "Hey, Professor Lou, why are you here too? This...this is such a coincidence."
Lou Jiyun was wearing a black T-shirt and casual trousers, his bangs dripping wet, clearly fresh from the shower. He lost his usual aloofness and air, looking surprisingly like a gentle, refined otaku, exuding a distinctly homely aura.
However, that well-defined face was still extremely aggressive, his deep eyes seemed to hide endless secrets, and under his high nose bridge, his lips were slightly raised with a faint smile.
Su Banxia looked at him. Although they had known each other for many years, at this moment, she felt inexplicably shy. Her cheeks flushed slightly, and her eyes unconsciously began to avoid him, not daring to look him in the eye.
Lou Jiyun walked slowly towards Su Banxia with long and vigorous steps, and every step seemed to carry an invisible sense of oppression.
He stood tall and straight before Su Banxia, looking down at her from above. His eyes held a captivating depth, yet also a touch of carefree laziness. His thin lips parted slightly, and in a low, magnetic voice, he said leisurely, "Why am I here?"
After a pause, he raised his eyebrows slightly, a subtle arc appeared on the corner of his mouth, and continued: "Student Su Banxia, don't tell me that you have completely forgotten what you did to me last night when you woke up?"
Su Banxia blinked her big watery eyes, which were full of innocence and ignorance. She swallowed carefully, and a slight "gurgling" sound came from her throat.
She stammered, "What...what did I do? Don't talk nonsense! This is in my apartment! Don't try to slander me!"
In fact, she knew it very well in her heart. She just kissed him accidentally last night under the influence of alcohol! But she still didn't want to admit it. After all, it was too embarrassing to say it out loud. Besides, she felt that they were all adults. It was just a kiss. There was no need to be so petty and hold on to it, right?
What's more, that was her first kiss as an adult. She hadn't even had time to digest it, so how come he brought it up first?
Lou Jiyun didn't answer her question immediately. He just stood there quietly, his eyes as dark as the night staring at her intently, his gaze filled with unfathomable emotions. His gaze seemed to have substance, making Su Banxia's scalp tingle and her whole body feel uncomfortable.
Su Banxia felt uneasy when he looked at her. Finally, she couldn't help but speak up to break the suffocating silence. "I just kissed you accidentally, didn't I? You shouldn't be so stingy, right? Besides, it's not like we kissed each other when we were kids. You can't hold it against me for this, right?"
She remembered that when she was a child, besides liking to stick to her brother, the person she liked to stick to the most was Lou Jiyun.
In her little heart, she had long regarded Lou Jiyun as an older brother whom she could rely on.
Back then, her brothers sometimes annoyed her, especially her second brother, Su Jingmo, who always bullied her, not only refusing to let her hug him but also preventing her from getting close to him. Although her eldest brother, Su Zeqi, had a good relationship with her when they were young, Lou Jiyun was still the closest to her. So, from a young age, she and Lou Jiyun were the most familiar playmates, and that close relationship continued into adulthood.
But now, everything seems to be a little different...
Especially after entering university, Lou Jiyun became her professor. The change in identity brought about a subtle change in their relationship.
Moreover, during this period, she clearly felt that Lou Jiyun's behavior and attitude towards her were very different from before. It was no longer just doting on her like a younger sister, but there were more feelings that were difficult for her to describe.
All this made it impossible for her to look at him as simply as before. Whenever she looked into his eyes, she would feel an inexplicable nervousness and shyness in her heart. This feeling made her feel both unfamiliar and a little overwhelmed.
