"Where did they go?" a guard asked puzzledly.
"It must be nearby, look carefully!" said another guard.
Qu Qingdai, Qin Yunie, and Bai Ren held their breath in the bushes, not daring to make a sound. They huddled together, their hearts filled with tension.
After a while, the guards seemed to lose their patience and began to slowly leave the bushes. When they were sure that the guards had gone far away, Qu Qingdai, Qin Yunie and Bai Ren carefully emerged from the bushes.
"That was close!" Qin Yunie said with a sigh of relief.
Bai Ren also wiped the sweat from his forehead and said, "Yeah, they almost found out."
Qu Qingdai looked at the ingredients and said, "But we finally got the food. Now let's get out of here quickly."
They continued running in the rain, not daring to slack off. Suddenly, Qu Qingdai stopped and pointed ahead, saying, "Look, there's a stream over there. We can follow it and hide our whereabouts."
Qin Yunie and Bai Ren looked in the direction Qu Qingdai pointed, and sure enough, they saw a stream gurgling in the rain. "Good idea!" Qin Yunie said.
They followed the stream, the sound of the water drowning out their footsteps. The rain was getting heavier, as if to make their escape more difficult.
"Be careful, don't slip." Qu Qingdai reminded.
They trudged through the stream with difficulty, with the current hitting their bodies from time to time. But they never stopped, with only one belief in their hearts, which was to leave here as soon as possible.
Finally, they saw a group of tents not far away, and their hearts were filled with hope. "We're almost there! We can take our time. Everyone, be careful!" Qu Qingdai shouted.
"Come on, we're almost there!" Bai Ren shouted.
They slowed down and, under the cover of trees, finally escaped the pursuit of the defenders and returned to the campsite smoothly.
"We succeeded!" Qin Yunie said excitedly.
Bai Ren also showed a gratified smile and said, "Yes, thanks to everyone's efforts."
Qu Qingdai looked at them, her heart filled with emotion. "It wasn't easy on this journey, but we made it. I wonder how Tan Changqing and the others are doing."
"Don't worry, everything will go according to plan." Bai Ren said confidently.
