Familiar home-cooked dishes kept popping up in Qu Qingdai's mind. Her lips curled up slightly, and she hummed a cheerful tune as she methodically began to prepare. She handled the ingredients skillfully, washing, chopping, and arranging them neatly. Before long, she was completely immersed in the joy of cooking, seemingly forgetting all her worries.
Meanwhile, Su Jingmo hurried home under the cover of night. He fully expected his child to run out to greet him cheerfully and give him a warm hug as usual. However, upon entering the villa, he was surprised to find that the huge house was completely empty. He looked around and only heard faint singing coming from the direction of the kitchen.
Su Jingmo, filled with doubt, followed the singing's lead and slowly made his way to the kitchen. The moment he pushed open the door, he was stunned by the sight before him. Qu Qingdai was standing at the stove, diligently preparing dinner. Her hair shimmered softly in the light, and a happy smile graced her face. Her beauty was so captivating that it filled Su Jingmo with an indescribable warmth and emotion.
He leaned quietly against the doorframe, slightly sideways, his gaze tenderly gazing at the busy Qu Qingdai. Seeing her serious expression, a sense of happiness welled up in his heart. He thought to himself, perhaps the happiest moment in the world is right now.
Su Jingmo quietly admired Qu Qingdai for a while. Not long after, he walked into the kitchen with light steps. He slowly walked behind Qu Qingdai, then gently stretched out his arms and wrapped them around her slender waist from behind. He gently rested his chin on her shoulder and said gently, "Thank you for your hard work, my dear."
"Oh, you scared me." Qu Qingdai was so engrossed in the moment that she didn't notice Su Jingmo's arrival. The sudden embrace startled her, and her body trembled. Her movements stopped, and she turned her head and gave Su Jingmo a reproachful look.
"It's my fault. I should have made some noise. I scared my Dai Dai." Su Jingmo said with a smile, his voice filled with endless tenderness and doting. He then took the opportunity to peck Qu Qingdai on the lips when she turned her head.
