In the following days, Su Jingmo seemed to be busy in order to make time to take her to Nanshi. He locked himself in the study and did not allow Qu Qingdai to go in. Every time Qu Qingdai asked about it, he would always say lovingly: "If you are next to me, I will be distracted."
In order to allow Su Jingmo to concentrate more on his work and improve his work efficiency, Qu Qingdai tactfully kept away from him.
Two days before her birthday, Qu Qingdai finally boarded a plane to Nanshi with Su Jingmo. Upon arrival, they visited Tingchao B&B, a seaside guesthouse. The decor of this guesthouse is replete with sea references, from the furnishings to the decor, creating a feeling of being immersed in the ocean.
The B&B owner, a very enthusiastic and trendy woman, recognized Qu Qingdai Grace immediately. She was so excited that she insisted on giving them a discount and enthusiastically introduced the B&B's various features.
After checking in, Qu Qingdai and Su Jingmo spent the morning relaxing in the cozy and comfortable guesthouse. In the afternoon, Su Jingmo went off to run some errands, leaving Qu Qingdai alone. Bored, Qu Qingdai tried to ask the welcoming hostess out for a walk, but she politely declined, citing her busy schedule. Desperate, she decided to go out on her own.
She strolled to the beach, gently removed her sandals, and placed her soles on the fine, soft sand, leaving a clear footprint with each step. She saw several lively and cute children squatting by the roadside, diligently picking up stones and then casually drawing on the beach.
Qu Qingdai was drawn to their actions and began to imitate them. She picked up a long stone and carefully drew two stick figures on the flat beach, one male and one female. In the sunlight, the fine sand shone with a golden glow, as if adding a touch of mystery to the two little heads.
