Chapter 50 Jiang Baizhi's Plan

It was midday, the blazing sun pouring its rays unreservedly across the earth. The deep blue glass curtain walls on either side of the building, caught in the direct sunlight, shimmered with a captivating brilliance, reflecting a dazzling light that forced pedestrians on the surrounding streets to squint. The four bustling streets were bustling with people, and the wide streets were filled with a constant stream of vehicles.

On the main street in front of this commercial building, a silver-gray streamlined sports car sped past like a flash of lightning. The beautiful and handsome car made a clean turn near the building, then turned around and sped towards the entrance to the underground parking lot at one end of the building.

The sports car slowly slowed down and finally came to a steady stop. Su Jingmo calmly got out of the car. As he closed the door, a pleasant ringtone suddenly rang out. This sudden interruption made Su Jingmo silently answer the phone and asked in a low voice, "What happened?"

"Mr. Su." The assistant on the other end of the line, holding the phone, voice filled with obvious shock, "Mr. Su, I've carefully investigated the source of Jiang Baizhi's paintings. It turns out that one day two years ago, she suddenly sent someone to my wife's former residence and took the paintings away. But what's incredible is that we've tried every possible means, but we can't find out why she knew my wife's residence, nor do we understand how she knew there were paintings there."

"Can't you find any reason? Are you sure she sent someone directly to get the painting?" Su Jingmo asked with a frown.

"Yes, Mr. Su. We really investigated for a long time, but this incident happened very suddenly without any warning." said the assistant.

"Okay, keep investigating. We must get to the bottom of the truth... By the way, check out the things that the Jiang and Zhao families did behind the scenes, organize them, and put them online!" Su Jingmo ordered in a firm tone.

"Yes! President Su!" the assistant replied, "President Su, actually...actually, there's one more thing I need to report to you about. It's about...my wife."

"What's wrong? If you have something to say, just say it now, don't hesitate!" There was a hint of anxiety and worry in Su Jingmo's voice.

"That's right. During our in-depth investigation, we discovered that although Jiang Baizhi sent people to take away those paintings two years ago, they were actually put there by his wife four years ago. And after our appraisal, these paintings should be copies of his wife's works, not the original works she displayed to the public five years ago..." The assistant said in a puzzled tone.

"So that's how it is." Su Jingmo nodded slightly and fell into deep thought. "Okay then, let's focus on investigating Jiang Baizhi regarding the painting, and don't worry about the madam anymore." After thinking for a moment, Su Jingmo solemnly instructed.

"Yes!" the assistant replied, his voice full of determination. He understood his next task and direction.

After hanging up the phone, Su Jingmo's heart lingered, his mind replaying the assistant's words. He knew full well that what Qu Qingdai had been hiding from him was likely inextricably linked to the Jiang family. However, he had never imagined she had been planning this four years earlier. No! Perhaps even earlier, when she was still a student, with no connection to the Jiang family at all. How could she have foreseen the future entanglement between her and the Jiang family?

At this moment, Su Jingmo felt as if he were shrouded in a fog, everything before him shrouded in an impenetrable veil. He tried to find the truth, but found it elusive. Everything was shrouded in mystery and uncertainty. He understood that everything that had happened until now was a difficult puzzle, and the answer to this mystery would likely only be revealed by Qu Qingdai herself.

Su Jingmo shook his head, trying to drive these chaotic thoughts out of his mind. Then, with firm steps, he walked out of the underground parking lot and began a busy and fulfilling day of work.

In the Zhao family's living room, the Zhao family and Jiang Baizhi could only helplessly wait for the police to arrive and drive the reporters away. In this awkward situation, they all looked utterly embarrassed. The Zhao family watched Jiang Baizhi helplessly. Except for Zhao Guangbai, everyone else, even Jiang Baizhi's good sister Zhao Chenxiang, felt a surge of anger in their hearts.

Father Zhao looked at Zhao Guangbai with a gloomy expression and said sternly, "Guangbai, you now have only two choices. First, you must sever all ties with Jiang Baizhi. From now on, you will be separated, like a bridge to a bridge, a road to a road, and there will be no further contact. Second, you take her away from here. From now on, you are no longer a member of our Zhao family, and we will have nothing to do with you!"

Zhao Guangbai's face was filled with pain and struggle after hearing his father's words. He looked at Jiang Baizhi, then at his father, his heart full of contradictions and entanglements. Jiang Baizhi bit her lip tightly, her eyes revealing a hint of resentment and unwillingness.

At that moment, the police finally arrived and dispersed the reporters. The Zhao family finally breathed a sigh of relief, but the atmosphere remained tense. Zhao Guangbai stood there, silent for a long time, a fierce ideological struggle brewing within him.

After a while, Zhao Guangbai raised his head, looked at his father, and said in a low voice: "Father, I can't break off my relationship with Bai Zhi. I... I love her."

Upon hearing this, Zhao's father was so angry that his face turned blue. He pointed at Zhao Guangbai and angrily scolded him, "You unfilial son! You even gave up your family for this woman!"
