Chapter 225 Sowing Discord
Shen Xiyue was so frightened that she immediately closed her eyes.
After taking enough photos outside the ward, Ms. Shen looked at her "masterpiece" with satisfaction, carefully put her phone into her bag, and then left the hospital.
Determined to show these photos to Su Youling so that Su Youling would back down, she hailed a taxi and headed straight for the Li Mansion.
She had imagined countless scenarios of how Su Youling would be humiliated along the way, but in reality, the Li Mansion was strictly managed, and she was kicked out before she could even enter the gate.
Seeing that the security guards at the Li Mansion were about to call Li Tingxi, she was so frightened that she quickly left, then she remembered the scene of bumping into Su Youling at the wedding dress shop that day.
Hoping to try my luck, I went to that wedding dress shop again, following my memory.
After overhearing from the side that Su Youling had indeed ordered a wedding dress from this shop, she hatched a plan.
When Su Youling went out with Wei Ning last time, in addition to baby products, she also bought a lot of decorative items, and then ordered some large items such as decorative paintings online.
She received the packages one after another, and since she was bored, she decided to get to work today, getting Wei Ning and a few servants together to decorate and design the wedding room.
Su Youling already had a general idea in mind, and the next step was to go through a process of trial and error.
"Wei Ning, move the painting up a little more."
"Let me think about it. Forget it, I'll just get down and move it a little further so I can see."
"..."
Wei Ning was suffering terribly under her control. Looking down at her from the top of the A-frame ladder, his eyes were filled with undisguised murderous intent. "Su Youling, if all else fails, you can call one of the bodyguards that Li Tingxi arranged. I'm a highly skilled person, not here to do these dirty and tiring jobs for you."
"No need, do you understand the importance of making the best use of resources?" Su Youling ignored him and patted the stepladder under his feet, urging, "Stop talking nonsense and get to work."
Just then, the phone next to me rang.
She walked over, picked it up, and looked at it.

It was a call from the wedding dress shop.
She learned that the wedding dress had been altered and that Li Tingxi's suit had also been sampled, requiring her confirmation before any further modifications could be made.
Su Youling was very excited and said that she happened to be free right now and would go over there.
Wei Ning overheard the gist of the conversation and, seeing that she had hung up the phone, immediately climbed down the stepladder. "I'll go with you."
Su Youling glanced at him sideways and coldly refused, "Your task is to show me results after I come back. Don't even think about slacking off."
Half an hour later, Su Youling arrived at the wedding dress shop, but her joy vanished when she saw her mother sitting on the sofa.
“Shouldn’t you be in the detention center?” She looked away in shock and disgust at the shop assistant who clearly knew what was going on, her expression cold. “I think I need a reasonable explanation.”
Upon seeing this, the shop assistant panicked instantly, "Ms. Su, this lady claims to be your mother..."
Su Youling's face darkened instantly, and she glared coldly at Chen's mother, "You dare to say that!"
The smile on Chen's mother's face froze for a moment, then returned to normal. She walked up to Su Youling and proudly raised her chin, "You don't know yet, do you? I've been out for quite a while now. It's all thanks to my precious daughter. Li Tingxi couldn't bear to see Yueyue sad, so he made an exception for her."
"You're just stupid. Do you really think Li Tingxi would do anything to us for your sake?"
Su Youling was disgusted by the arrogance in her eyes. She frowned, distanced herself from her, and scoffed, "You think I'd believe that?"
Mother Shen had anticipated this reaction and calmly took out her bag...
She took out her phone, opened the photo album, and zoomed in on the photos taken at the hospital to show her one by one. "You have no choice but to believe me. Open your eyes and see clearly. Li Tingxi is right here beside my daughter."
The photos on her phone included one of Li Tingxi feeding Shen Xiyue medicine, and another of Li Tingxi leaning against the cot with his eyes closed, while Shen Xiyue gazed at him affectionately.
A hint of ambiguity flashed in Su Youling's eyes, and her hands, hanging at her sides, unconsciously tightened.
Shen Xiyue has actually returned to China. Why is Li Tingxi keeping it from her?
As if guessing what she was thinking, Mother Shen crossed her arms and spoke with an air of arrogance and urgency: "Li Tingxi kept it from you because he was afraid you would cause trouble for Yueyue. In the end, Yueyue is the woman he loves. As a substitute, you should know your place."
Her aggressive demeanor only made Su Youling more cautious.
Without a doubt, Mother Shen's actions today were intended to sow discord and discourage Shen from making a move.
After making up her mind, Su Youling sneered and calmly retorted, "If it's really as you say, and Shen Xiyue is Li Tingxi's true love, why did you bother to find me and show me those photos?"
“If I were you, I wouldn’t even give a substitute who is always outshone by my own daughter a second glance. Look at the photos, Shen Xiyue is still lying in the hospital. You, as her mother, don’t care about her or take care of her. Instead, you come here and yell at me. I suppose in your eyes, I, the substitute, am not as worthless as you say.”
Su Youling deliberately emphasized the words "alternative," her sarcasm almost overflowing.
The scene that Shen's mother had anticipated—Su Youling's jealousy and subsequent breakdown—did not occur. Instead, Su Youling turned the tables and mocked her. She was completely stunned, a lump in her throat, feeling incredibly uncomfortable. "You!"
She pointed with one finger

Su Youling wanted to retaliate but couldn't find the words.
"Stop with the 'you' and 'me' stuff. If you come looking for trouble again, I won't hesitate to send you back to the detention center." Su Youling was too lazy to waste any more time with her. She walked straight to the cashier and looked at the clerk who knew she had done something wrong and dared not meet her eyes. "Now you know, this lady has a grudge against me. I don't want today's mistake to happen again. Do you understand?"
The shop assistant nodded vigorously, apologizing and promising repeatedly.
Su Youling walked past Shen's mother without glancing to the side, listening to the shop assistant behind her asking Shen's mother to leave and Shen's mother's angry curses because she had lost face. She smirked sarcastically.
However, she was not as calm as she appeared on the surface; the photos her mother showed her stirred up some turmoil within her.
In particular, what Shen's mother mentioned—that Li Tingxi made her and Shen Congcong get out of the detention center for Shen Xiyue's sake—made her very uncomfortable.
Su Youling didn't want to hold her anger in, so she called Li Tingxi.
Li Tingxi answered the phone after a while. "Did you need something?"
Influenced by her mother, Su Youling's tone was somewhat displeased: "Can't I call you if there's nothing wrong? What are you doing?"
“You know perfectly well that’s not what I meant,” Li Tingxi coaxed her patiently. “I’m currently entertaining foreign guests at the company, and I came out specifically to answer this call for you. But I have to go back soon. I’ll call you back later, okay?”
Su Youling listened carefully and indeed heard foreigners speaking on the other end, so she believed him and the feeling of unease in her heart disappeared.
Thinking about how she had believed Chen's mother and doubted him, yet he had put down his work to answer her call, she suddenly felt a pang of guilt and wanted to make amends. Her voice softened as she said, "Since you've worked so hard, I'll cook dinner myself tonight. Come home early."
