After an unknown amount of time, Su Youling woke up groggily, feeling cold all over.
She opened her eyes and looked around, discovering that she was in a dimly lit basement filled with medical equipment, like a secret medical research institute.
Familiar voices could be faintly heard from outside the door. Su Youling sat up, touched her still-conscious lower abdomen, gently moved behind the door, and held her breath.
Just a door away, Shen Xiyue lay on the operating table, looking emaciated and lifeless.
“Yueyue, Mom has waited three years for you to come back. If you go, our Shen family will be completely finished. Your father and I finally managed to bring Su Youling here, and the tissue matching was successful.
