Chapter 38 Attack
Su Youling took a taxi straight to her newly rented apartment, intending to get some rest first.

Lin Lexi hid in the stairwell, staring coldly at Li Tingxi's phone, trying hard to recall the strange noises from the phone just now.
That muffled groan belonged to Shen Xiyue; she was calling for help.
Was that woman attacked?

Lin Lexi curled her lips coldly, stuffed her phone back into Li Tingxi's coat, and instead of promptly delivering the coat to Li Tingxi outside the operating room, she turned and left the hospital.

Mother Li said with a soothing smile, "You're such a thoughtful child, staying up so late with us."

"Tingxi, are you looking for your phone?" Lin Lexi handed over the phone and said apologetically, "I was trying to get your clothes over here when I accidentally answered a call from Director Shen."
Li Tingxi's eyes turned cold. "What did you say to her?"
This aggressive attitude made Lin Lexi's eyes redden, and she subconsciously took a step back. "I didn't say anything. Director Shen seemed a little angry. I explained that there was nothing between us, and then she hung up."
