Chapter 136 Co-op

This was Wen Yan's first time visiting Shen Jinghe's studio.

She started doing her homework on the way there.

"Big star, I have a few questions for you."

"Just ask." Shen Jinghe glanced at Wen Yan. "When did you start being so polite with me? Are you this polite with Shen Jingchuan too?"

"Huh?" Wen Yan glanced at Shen Jinghe. "I'm talking to you about serious matters. Why did you suddenly bring up Fourth Brother? I don't think I mentioned him before. Second Brother, you're being a bit sarcastic."

sarcastic or weird?

Does he have it?

However, upon closer reflection, it's clear that I was in the wrong.

He didn't know what had gotten into him; those words just seemed to slip out naturally.

Thinking of this, Shen Jinghe felt quite uncomfortable: "It was my fault, forget about it, just pretend I never said that. What did you want to ask me just now? Go ahead and ask."

Wen Yan: [I thought this guy saw me chatting with Shen Jingchuan, but it turns out he didn't, hahaha]

Shen Jinghe: EXM? ? He sat in the passenger seat in silence for a long time, so he had been chatting and laughing with that kid Shen Jingchuan.

No wonder he suddenly mentioned Shen Jingchuan just now; it seems there's a reason for all of this! Hmph.

He wanted to see what questions she would ask. If even her questions were related to that brat Shen Jingchuan, he would definitely give the guy a good beating.

Wen Yan had no idea that asking the wrong question would get her beaten up.

Fortunately, the question she's about to ask has nothing to do with Shen Jingchuan.

"I wanted to ask if your studio knows your identity as the second son of a wealthy family? This directly determines whether I should walk into your studio with my face covered or not."

"That's it?...They don't know."

"Nobody knows, not even your agent who's worked with you for years?"

"Yes, I haven't told anyone. The Shen family's business currently has no connection with the entertainment industry, so almost no one knows about it. Even the very few big shots who do know about it wouldn't bother to expose me."

Wen Yan nodded: "Understood. I'll wear a mask when I go in then, to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings."

Just then, the light turned red. After hearing Wen Yan's words, Shen Jinghe turned his head and took a closer look at Wen Yan.

This gaze lasted for several seconds, making Wen Yan feel somewhat uncomfortable.

"What's wrong? Did I say something wrong?"

Shen Jinghe's reply was completely irrelevant: "You look beautiful today, with this makeup."

The praise came so suddenly that Wen Yan couldn't help but smile.

"Is it just that the makeup looks good?"

"Of course, it's mainly because of people."

"Ahem, you flatter me. I completely trust your judgment and your words. After all, you'd rather be sharp-tongued than lie."

"...So are you sure you want to go to my studio with your face covered? Wouldn't that be a waste of your makeup today? All those high-end cosmetics you just pile on your face must cost at least several hundred."

Wen Yan: [Goodness, he knows makeup, but did I just throw this on randomly? I carefully applied this, okay?!]

Wen Yan mentally complained a couple of times, then asked, "But won't your studio staff spread rumors about this?"

"What are you thinking? If they dare to spread my private work content or schedule, they're fired. My studio doesn't employ people like that, and even people who leave my studio won't talk nonsense."

"I've learned something!" Wen Yan nodded. "This also shows that you are a very kind and generous person. Anyone who slanders or exposes their former boss after leaving a job either has a problem with the former boss's character or the price wasn't agreed upon."

"But you are not only of noble character, but you must also give a lot. You must be deeply loved by all your employees! Such a good boss is hard to find!"

"By the way, boss, I've been driving for half a day. Are you thirsty? Let me get you a bottle of water."

Shen Jinghe: "…………" Where did this guy come up with all these different excuses? But he was quite happy to hear them, and his mood instantly brightened up.

When he's in a good mood, he starts talking more.

"We selected three people in total. Two of them have experience as assistants and are a little older than you. The other one has no work experience, but is cheerful and outgoing, about the same age as you, and has a lot of energy. I think he should be more to your liking. Anyway, you'll know for sure when you go and see for yourself in a bit."

“Okay. But the job postings were posted by your studio. What if they were initially targeting you? And then they see that the client is me, won’t they have a problem with that? I don’t want to force people to work for me.”

"Of course not. We're hiring assistants, not fans. They're here to find jobs, not to chase after celebrities. As long as the salary and benefits are right, that's enough for them. You've only just entered this industry; you have a long way to go. Learn more."

"Okay, Teacher Shen! I'll learn from you from now on. Here, this is your water, please enjoy."

Shen Jinghe took a sip of water from Wen Yan's hand, finding it somewhat amusing:

"What, are you trying to become my apprentice here? If you want to become my apprentice, this sip of water won't be enough to appease me."

"Hehe, then I won't bow down. As the saying goes, 'A teacher for a day is a father for life,' but you are my second brother. Since you are my brother, you can't be my father."

"You've said everything..." Shen Jinghe glanced at Wen Yan, "Alright, put the mask away."

Even so, when Wen Yan appeared at Shen Jinghe's studio, it still caused a small commotion.
