The person who reacted the most upon hearing this noise was Su Yang.
Her expression changed instantly, and she subconsciously looked at Shen Jingxiu sitting on the sofa.
"Could it be that your father and Jinghe's talks have fallen through? I'll go upstairs and check!"
Just as Su Yang was about to move, she saw Shen Jingchuan stride down the stairs.
He walked very fast, and his face looked very pale.
Just as Su Yang was about to stop him and ask what had happened, Shen Yuan chased after her.
Not far behind Shen Yuan, Shen Jinghe slowly appeared.
It's obvious that there's no conflict between Shen Jinghe and Shen Yuan; rather, something has happened between Shen Yuan and his son Shen Jingchuan.
Shen Yuan quickly spoke up, telling Shen Jingchuan to stop.
Shen Jingchuan hadn't originally planned to stay at this house, but Shen Yuan's shout made him freeze in place.
He turned to look at Shen Yuan, his angry eyes mixed with a hint of disdain.
"Why are you telling me to stop? Is there some company or a large sum of money they want to give me?"
Shen Yuan frowned: "You heard everything just now?"
Shen Jingchuan sneered: "You dare to do it but are you afraid I'll hear? When did you start caring so much about my feelings? You're always biased towards the second son, you're always coaxing him!"
The more Shen Jingchuan thought about it, the more aggrieved he felt. His hot temper flared, and he spoke even more recklessly:
"Is his career really more noble than mine? Huh? He just acts to entertain others, is he really more successful than me?"
"Why do you keep giving him things he doesn't want? You won't give me the things I beg you for! Wasn't he kidnapped as a child?"
"Yes, I was never kidnapped when I was a child, but what about my eldest brother? Wasn't he kidnapped along with the second brother?"
"They were both kidnapped, so why is the second son the one who feels wronged? You felt sorry for him when he was a child and always tried to appease him."
"But as a fellow victim, don't you know how he treated his older brother? Didn't you see how he subjected his older brother to emotional abuse since childhood?"
"From beginning to end, you only felt indebted to him, but don't you feel indebted to your older brother as well? Oh no, you certainly don't. Because you've already handed the company over to your older brother."
"Then I want to ask, what have you given me! I'm not interested in the company and I don't want to compete with my older brother, but you threw me abroad and did you even care about me?"
"I do have a bad temper, and I might be a bit of a jerk sometimes, but is it really all my fault?"
"If you can't treat all your children equally and give them fatherly love at the same time, you shouldn't have had so many children in the first place!"
Shen Jingchuan unleashed a torrent of words, venting all the things he had kept bottled up inside for over a decade.
He knows he's not perfect, and he actually wants to prove himself through his own efforts; he doesn't necessarily have to rely on his parents.
But now that he's asked these questions in front of the old man, he feels much better!
From beginning to end, Shen Yuan didn't even find a moment to interject.
When the fourth brother criticized him in front of so many people, his old face instantly darkened.
Those who know him know that this is a sign that he is about to get angry.
Since Shen Jingxiu was closer to Shen Jingchuan, he stood up, leaning on the back of the sofa, and grabbed Shen Jingchuan's forearm.
He lowered his voice and advised his younger brother, "Jingchuan, calm down and sit down to have a peaceful talk."
Shen Jingchuan's most prominent characteristic is his volatile temper; it's impossible to get him to back down when he's in the middle of a rage.
He had no idea that Shen Jingxiu was now unable to walk properly, and he shook off his hand.
"I can't stay calm!"
Shen Jingchuan's subconscious swing was quite forceful, and Shen Jingxiu lost his balance and fell onto the sofa.
Shen Jingchuan frowned as he caught a glimpse of this scene out of the corner of his eye.
He didn't understand why his boss was pretending to be weak and frail today; it seemed completely unnecessary.
At that moment, Wen Yan, who was closest to Shen Jingxiu, was worried that he would hurt his already fractured leg, so she quickly came over to help him.
"Fourth Brother~" After helping Chen Jingxiu sit down, Wen Yan whispered to Chen Jingchuan, "Big Brother was in a car accident today. He fractured a bone and just got back from the hospital after it was fixed."
What? !
Shen Jingchuan didn't know what was wrong with him, but as soon as he heard Wen Yan's soft and gentle voice, his anger seemed to subside.
He immediately glanced at Shen Jingxiu's legs and noticed that one of them was rather stiff.

However, just as he was about to say something more, he was immediately interrupted by Shen Jingchuan.
Because Shen Jingchuan knew roughly what he was going to say, which was nothing more than trying to reconcile him and the old man.
But he didn't want to listen.
He turned to look at Wen Yan and took out a small black velvet box from his pants pocket.
"Here you go, to celebrate your discharge from the hospital. I hope this little thing will keep you safe and protect you from any misfortune in the future. Ugh, what kind of talk is that? I take it back. I hope you'll be free from illness and disaster from now on. Goodbye!"
Wen Yan never expected that Shen Jingchuan would prepare a gift for her. Before she could react, Shen Jingchuan took her hand and placed the small square box in her palm.
She could even feel the warmth of Shen Jingchuan on the box.
But Shen Jingchuan had already turned and left.
Su Yang called his name, her voice choked with emotion: "Aren't you staying, son?"
